- Ankhenaten91120 contributionsAbsolutely worth your timeAbsolutely wonderful experience. Darren, our tour guide was funny, informative and a fantastic driver too. What a great time!Written 11 January 2025
- Banyan600 contributionsHighlight of the trip!Loved the tour—our guide was extremely knowledgeable and fun, the scenery stunning, and the alligators wild!! A highlight of the trip!Written 11 January 2025
- 788brienj0 contributionsWe Got to See Some Gators! This was fun! We had a small group, the four of us and another couple in the air boat with us. We were able to see a lot of wildlife and different things in the swamp. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the swamp and the wildlife and readily shared with us. Even though it was December, and cold we saw three alligators sunning themselves. The company picked us up at our hotel in the Quarter that morning and brought us back in the afternoon. The tour seemed well organized. The Cajun accent of the girl that took our tickets was priceless!Written 8 January 2025
- Pallav P0 contributionsMoney well spentPickup and drop from the hotel was smooth and the instructions were well written. The driver was communicative and on time There were issues with his microphone in the bus, but that is only a slight inconvenience In all, the tour was money well spentWritten 7 January 2025
- Missy B0 contributionsCalifornia to NOLA tripThis was by far the best experience/fun my family has had- even though we froze!!! Our boat guide Dewy was funny and super informative! Glad we got to see an alligator given it was very cold. Would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone visiting and wanting to do a swamp tour.Written 7 January 2025
- rebeccawJ9159PD0 contributionsExcellent Opportunity to See Alligators! This swamp tour was absolutely amazing! Our tour boat captain managed to find five wild alligators along our tour, plus showed us a bald eagle’s nest. It was an epic adventure! And just when I thought the tour couldn’t get better, it did! The captain is part of a special program that means he is allowed to have a live baby alligator on his boat. My husband chose not to hold it, but I loved the opportunity to hold the gator. Amazing ride amongst the swamp! 5/5, I absolutely recommend.Written 7 January 2025
- mikepF6733LT0 contributionsA must visit when in New OrleansGreat decision. From pick up to drop off enjoyed every minute. The drive to the swamp from the French Quarter is great way to see more of New Orleans our driver was very informative. The swamp tour on the Airboat didn't let us down the views were spectacular. We got the chance to get up close to many alligators. Best part of the experience was definitely Ernie our boat captain who half way through to swamp tour stoped the boat in a great spot to point out some areas, share his vast knowledge and experiences. Thank you Captain Ernie.Written 5 January 2025
- RobertC82410 contributionsGators, Hawks, and Coyotes - Oh My!The Louisiana Swamp Tour was incredible! Through the tour comoany, we were able to be picked up downtown (just off Canal Street) before heading out to our tour near Lake Salvador. The tour company had a cute gift shop for any speciality souvenirs anyone could want. The small baot tour, however, was the pinnacle of the experience. Due to the sun and comparably warm weather, we saw 10+ gators, red-tailed hawks, sleeping barn owls, great herring, and even a few coyotes. Our guide was knowledgeable of the swamps history and eco-system and very accommodating. Would 100% recommend taking this tour if you're visiting NOLA!Written 5 January 2025
- YH620 contributionsNice overview of New Orleans and its historyWe liked our tour and would recommend it. A couple of items of note though…This tour is more like 3 hours or so, not 4 hours. The tour was to start at 1:30, but we were not advised of the pickup time in advance. I messaged the company and they replied promptly that the pickup would be between 1:30 and 2:00. We got a call as we were making our way to the meeting point at 12:55 that the shuttle was waiting for us. We boarded the shuttle and after 10 minute wait we were moved to the actual tour mini bus. So, this could have been organized a bit better, but it could be attributed to the fact that the tour was the day after the terrorist attack in New Orleans and the city was in a bit of the disarray. The driver/guide needed to navigate the many city street closures, but once we were on our way, he provided a lot of information and we had a nice tour. If you have limited time in New Orleans and do not want to walk a lot, this is a good tour to take.Written 5 January 2025
- lollys5930 contributionsWe loved this swamp tour! This was the highlight of our multi-generational family trip to New Orleans. Even though it was a little chilly (January), Captain Ernie spotted a few alligators for us. The bayous and canals are lovely. Definitely recommend. Thank you, Captain Ernie!Written 4 January 2025
- emilyaR1382UK0 contributionsDisappointedOne of our party got sick at the last the last minute so we were running late. We called and let them know that we were on the way. They wouldn’t hold the boat for us even though we arrived with the boat still docked, instead the captain was waved on by the “boss man.” They couldn’t reschedule us so we lost our money.Written 2 January 2025
- jmscully10 contributionsWonderful tourWe had a great time on this tour! We got to see more of New Orleans than we had ever seen before! The Garden district and cemetery were wonderfulWritten 31 December 2024
- gilgil1320 contributionsSuper fun tourGreat tour, very informative. Dewey did a great job showing us his gator friends and answering all of our questions. Good that they provide some warnings about about speed and bumps, but if you have been on a fast speedboat, it's very similar - just really fun and fast!Written 31 December 2024
- X-Newburger0 contributionsBus tour around NOLA for newbiesWe took this tour on our first day there to get a basic idea of the layout of New Orleans, mainly the French Quarter, waterfront, cemeteries, as well as the levees and floodgates. Taking the bus tour allowed us to cover a lot of ground we wouldn't have been able to cover on foot in three hours. Our guide, born and raised in NOLA, was excellent, friendly, highly knowledgable and very entertaining. He took the time to point things out that were "off-the-beaten path" and provided us with insight and understanding how storms and the presence of water have affected the city and have the potential to do so in the future. All in all, it was well worth the price of the tour.Written 31 December 2024
- ryanoD5587ZZ0 contributionsGreat Family TripGreat family experience. Pick up was smooth, driver was so informative, and the journey was easy. Fan Boat trip was exciting and enjoyable. Saw many alligators and got to hold one. Highly recommend.Written 31 December 2024
