This tour was so much fun and I cannot recommend it enough. Our guide started by telling us a story, and taking us through history of New Orleans, the cultural shifts and influences and how they got there, and the war of 1812. The story he tells has twists and turns, but you’ll have to take the tour yourself to find out. Take cash with you, you stop at a cute pirate themed bar but it is cash only. We took the tour starting at 430, ended around 7. The walking was not strenuous. I had only time for one tour in my day trip to NOLA and I am THRILLED I chose this one. If you want a tour that’s a change of pace from NOLAs offerings but you still want to learn about the culture, this is a great choice

We brought 30 kids with a summer camp and they split us into two groups- one to talk about Creole women and their contributions to New Orleans history and the other group learned about how pirates shaped New Orleans history, and then we swapped so both groups got both guides and both histories. Our kids were ages 8-12 and they loved it. The adult chaperones also enjoyed themselves, and would love to go back for more pirate history and to catch what was lost when they trimmed down the pirate info to be more age-appropriate. Fascinating facts, knowledgeable guides. Excellent tour.

We came across the Pirates of the Quarter while wandering the French Quarter and decided to take the next afternoon's tour. Our guide the Captain was a wonderful knowledgeable guide. He kept the story going even with an 11 and 14 year old and helped us understand both the battle of New Orleans and the influence of piracy in the 1800s in the middle of Louisiana's history.

This was hands down one of the best tours I have ever been on. It was a perfect mesh of performance and information. The content was VERY interesting and it shows that these guys know how to tell a story because it kept you trying to piece bits of the story together as you go with such a good payoff. It was also made better for me seeing how in to the content matter our guide was. 1000% worth the money and 2 hours of your life, because it flew by. Cannot recommend enough.

Exciting pirate guide, we learned so much and had a great time revealing a fascinating side of New Orleans. And our niner kid was very much into the history story thanks to our best pirate friend!

Did the pirate tour today with Pirates of the Quarter Tours, it was so fun & so informative! Our tour guide was knowledgeable & funny. I appreciated how patient he was with my handicapped husband! A great time, well worth it!
