      10/10 WOULD RECOMMEND!
I based my choice of this tour off of previous reviews so I thought I’d leave one for the next person trying to pick 1 out of the dozens going on in Nola - THIS IS THE ONE YOU WANT! We could not have had a better time with our tour guide Raffle who was not only hilarious and charismatic, but offered stories that felt authentic to real New Orleans history with an edge of perfectly balanced humor and entertainment. We also enjoyed all of the bars we stopped in that felt less like tourist traps and more like your local neighborhood hangouts. Not to mention the various yummy drinks we had along the way with great suggestions from Raffle himself. If you want fun and the real deal, this is the tour for you!

      Rants galore
Where do I start? The tour bus accident? And then The tour guide leaving us on the corner of the street after the accident because he was late to his next tour. He said so sorry but I’m late! It was 10:23 right before the accident and he was late due to him pulling over to talk (rant) nonstop about Katrina. While I do feel for him and the tragedy that occurred, it was a bit too much and lasted too long. Not to mention the lack of facts regarding the city or even Katrina for that matter.. it was nonstop incoherent rambling

Fun, even on a rainy night
We had so much fun! Even though it was a cold and rainy night it was a lot of fun. Kendall, our guide was a lot of un. He accommodated us and got out with those of us who still wanted to get out in the rain and hear about the cemeteries, had lots of good history about the area and some fun spooky stories while driving a group of tourists with drinks and food- and he’s right Morning Side Cafe has superior benets! Would definitely do again!

We went 2 nights in a row. Our tour guide both nights was Henry. He was a vibe! Very friendly, very knowledgeable and very patient. The tour was heavy but also very interesting. If you enjoy history and spookiness I definitely recommend.

He told many stories and shared some personal ones too making the tour special. He makes you feel like a friend is taking you on a tour of his town.

      Fun night adventure
Be patient if you tour during Mardi Gras season. Traffic is off and there may be delays or cemetaries skipped. Our guide Roy was awesome and knowledgeable. Great fun.

      Don't go
Kind of a farce. Basically a bus ride. Not worth the money or your time. There are many better tours to take. Amazing, I have to have 100 characters to publish this review.

I think you have to go with a fun and good attitude. Scary - no not really, Fun - yes very. Trish was a character and we loved her, she was witty and knowledgeable and interacted with the group a lot. I would recommend it for a fun and informative evening.

Pros: The plantation is beautiful in the daylight and possibly even more beautiful after dark. There’s a gift shop on site that offered a ton of different stuff. Our guide, Trish, was really funny and accommodating.

Cons: the meeting place for the tour- Voodoo Tavern- just left me with a bad vibe. We first arrived there around 5:15ish thinking we would eat there since we were supposed to meet the guide there at 6:30. When we walked in, it was mostly empty with several locals sitting around partaking in some…herb.. ha. I don’t care at all about that, but it just left me with an odd feeling. Added to that was the fact that this place is on the outskirts of the quarter. I may be totally ridiculous, but it just didn’t feel safe. I was dreading getting dropped back there after dark.
I will say though that when we came back at 6:30, the tavern had a totally different vibe. There were several customers in there and it just felt more welcoming. I ordered a drink for the bus ride to the plantation and it was good.

Cool to see the place at night, though some of the rooms were not open. Our guide was awesome, shared some history and laughs.

This tour is not what is advertised or what was explained to me over the phone when I called and asked about it. And - not even how the guide explained it. Save your money.
First we were 15 minutes late to leave the meeting point even though the bus was parked there, the guide and driver was there and everyone was checked in.
The bus smelled like mold, the air conditioner didn’t work properly (bus was warm), and I really think they need to check the suspension or the driver shouldn’t hit potholes going 30plus mph.
On the bus the guide explains that “this tour is not like the history tour of this plantation. You can take that during the day. We will be ghost hunting and talking about ghosts”. But, we got a history tour with long stops in each room, just standing listening to the guide. The ghost hunting part - she had a sensor she would put on a piece of furniture that would occasionally light up if a spirit was there. Not spooky, boring. After the history lesson of the house we went outside and to the kitchen. She finally pulled out the dousing rods and told us how to use them. We went ghost hunting outside in the heat for 15 minutes until heading back to the bus. When I called and asked about the tour the company told me we (the people) were going to use the equipment in the house. Nope! Very disappointing and upset.
Also the guide kept us in the gift shop for quite a while before the tour. I thought that was cheesy.
So no using the ghost equipment in the house and only 15 minutes outside. I wish I could rate this tour a zero.

Haunted Plantation Tour with Nola Ghostriders!

Went on the Destrehan Plantation tour with Nola Ghostriders. and it's an immersive journey through Louisiana's haunted history!
From the moment you arrive, the atmosphere is thick with anticipation. Our tour guide was Trish, who's a history buff with a knack for storytelling, she brings history to life with ghostly tales of the plantation's past residents. But the fun doesn't stop there – you'll even get to use dousing rods to chat with spirits!

It's a perfect blend of history and hauntings, with a respectful approach to the supernatural. Loved it!

We arrived 30min.’s before hand and were waiting with the rest of the group in the designated area outside the bar, when the the tour guide came up to us and started yelling at us for not responding to her when she had “been hollering at us”. We had never heard her at all??? Her manner was very gruff, bordering on rude at the beginning of the tour. Her demeanor did improve with time but it was difficult to have an enjoyable time when our guide appeared to be having an off night. The “haunted” part was not convincing at all. She turned on some free apps on her phone for a few minutes and kept telling us there were ghosts. She gave everyone dousing rods and let us roam free for a bit, which was actually the most enjoyable part.

Very disappointed. Tour was canceled without notice. We had this tour booked for over a month. It was supposed to be on Thanksgiving. I just happened to look at my confirmation email that I gotten one week previous that said to call the day of. Called and they said the plantation was closed for Thanksgiving. If the plantation was closed why were they booking tours for that date. Very frustrating as we had planned our day around this nighttime tour. Your company should have checked to see if it was closed and could have emailed or called that the tour was canceled

This was such a fantastic, fascinating tour, and we had plenty of time to wander around the grounds at night with our spirit boxes and dousing rods. The tour guide was amazing, and it was very very cool to see the inside of a plantation house.
