Alaska Cruise adventure
This was one of the best excursions, I selected. If you are not the type of person that like group tours, this option if for you! The Jeep itself is in absolute great conditions. Tour book was really helpful, we lost GPS on our trip through Skagway, cross the Canadian border (have your passport) they will ask for it and visit Yukon, but with the book didn’t miss a heartbeat. It was awesome to go at our own pace, stop and take pics where we wanted to and talk to the locals at our own leisure. Got to see a bear close up too!

Beautiful scenery
Sep 2019
They had everything ready to go and once we got the hang of the guided tour we were ready to roll!
We ventured on our own and saw some beautiful scenery all the was to Carcross. We didn’t make it to emerald lake but hear that it’s very nice.
We decided to do this over other excursions. Not sure I would do it again, but it was fun. A black bear walked out close enough to the Jeep to touch.

Easy, Self Paced, Best way to see Skagway!
This was one of the best excursions of the cruise. The business was easy to find. All brand new vehicles. No infringing guide or having to wait on others. You got a very detailed binder and keys. The road is yours.
Where you stop and what you see are completely your choice, therefore, you’re taste.

Stop as frequently as YOU want and take as many pictures as you want. There are stops for lunch and endless sights to see.

No other way to see Skagway and the Yokon! Get the Jeep!!

Clean, Comforterable create your own experience!
Aug 2019
My sister in law arranged this tour during our cruise visit to Skagway. The business was easy to find. All the Jeeps on the lot appeared brand new and looked well maintained. The check-in process was easy and fast. We were given a self-guided tour (audio) connected to the Jeep via a notebook. The drawback to the audio was, we couldn't figure out how to turn down the volume, it was very loud. If you follow the tour, it's easy to stay on pace. I loved being able to skip places we didn't want to see or make stops that weren't part of the audio narration. Getting through the borders each direction (Canada & USA) were very easy and fast.

Driving In Skagway The Best
Jul 2019
The DIY Jeep Tour in Skagway was the best ever. Drive along the scenic roads and parks at your own pace without all the herds of people on the bus. You get to stop where you want to stop and take all the pics you want. This was one of the best excursions we took in Alaska. Highly recommend!

Good Opportunity
We came into Skagway by ship, and we wanted to see White Horse Yukon. We rented a Jeep from DIY, and we were very happy. We were given a nice vehicle for the day, and a lite lunch for when we decided to eat (when we hit White Horse). As a result, we had a wonderful day traveling.

Great way to explore Skagway area
Rented Jeep for the day. Equipment was in excellent condition and easily seats 4. Comes with a 45 min Audio tour and a notebook leading the way out of town past various sites. Some real nice photo ops and sceneries. Emerald lake is highlight.

Wish audio was longer and addressed more of trip and local lore.

Expect the fuel costs at end of trip at close to 4/gal

Staff very nice and helpful

Great Way to Spend a Day When in Skagway
Jul 2019 • Family
I recently went on an RCL Alaska cruise with 16 brothers/cousins/parents. We booked 4 Jeeps from DIY Jeep Tour for our day in Skagway. Lunch was included, it was OK but not great.

The Jeeps were all pretty new, clean and performed well. There are a series of audio "chapters" you can listen to as you drive through town and into Canada, after some initial issues syncing the content to where we were in town, we enjoyed the stories and photo op recommendations.

The drive to Emerald Lake is amazing. You see waterfalls, bears (if you're lucky..we saw 2), beautiful mountains and lakes, and even a desert in Carcross. Emerald Lake is a great spot to have lunch, even if there is only a parking lot and no facilities.

If you follow the recommended route you will need your passport as it takes you through BC into Yukon in Canada. We stopped several times along the way out and back, and we still completed our trip in less than 5 hours.

Our group ranged in age from 3 to 80, and everyone enjoyed the experience. This was our favorite excursion on the entire cruise.
