What to expect
At 14,410 feet above sea level, beautiful and majestic Mt Rainier is an icon in the Washington landscape—an active volcano and the most glaciated peak in the United States, creating six major rivers. This day trip nature tour to hike and/or snowshoe around Mt. Rainier National Park begins with a Seattle hotel pickup followed by a scenic drive to the park in a luxury vehicle. Upon arrival, enjoy Seattle coffee and pastries before starting the trek along the Nisqually Vista Trail. Be on the lookout for wildlife wandering around the mountain at any time. This all-day Mt Rainier tour includes frequent stops to take pictures and enjoy light snacks. A picnic lunch of locally sourced, organic foods (grilled chicken or salmon, sandwich or wrap, with a grain or green salad and water or soda) is also provided midday.  At the end of the day, it’s back down the mountain to take a relaxing return trip to Seattle.

Awesome Day trip!!! So glad I did this on a short notice.
Jul 2021
This was an amazing tour. Very well organized from start to finish! Our guide, Lindsey aka Sandy was great! He knew a lot about the local area and what to expect on the trip such as wildlife. The group wanted to do a slightly longer hike and our guide was totally cool with it as long as everyone else was ok with it. The longer hike gave us some incredible views of Rainier. Do keep in mind if you are expecting a long 8 mile hike that might not happen as your group can vary and at the same time this is a day trip. However, you will get to hike in the park and see some beautiful waterfalls and great views of Rainier. Great experience overall with an amazing guide and awesome company!

Note: If the date is not available, make sure to give them a call especially if you are solo traveller. They were able to accommodate me on a date that showed it was sold out online.

Great tour and tour guide!
Jul 2021
This was a fabulous tour. Our guide, Ben, was knowledgeable, personable and fun to be with. We took this tour as it was my friends bithday and this was what she picked to do on her special day. We saw some great sites, hiked a bit and had a wonderful lunch. I would highly recommend this tour and ask for Ben, you will not be disappointed in him as a guide!!

Visit Rainier with guides who know the area!
Jun 2021
We spent a fun day with Sean. I'm so glad we toured Rainier with a guide. Other tourists were slipping around the snow on the hills and Sean pulled out snow shoes and we trekked right past everyone! Sean explained so much to us about the area, took photos for us, provided snacks, set us up for a delicious lunch in the rain, introduced us to Mt. Rainier cherries and was incredibly upbeat and positive the entire day.

A beautiful day at Mount Rainier
Jul 2021
This was a fantastic way to see the beauty of Mount Rainier. Our guide, Karen, was so friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. We stopped at several places throughout the day to take in the unique beauty of the different ecosystems on the mountain and see incredible views of the peak of Mt. Rainier. At several of the stops there were hikes that Karen tailored to the needs of our group, allowing each of us to go different distances at different paces. The lunch was incredible! A delicious and healthy assortment of foods offered in a lovely, quiet spot. This was a great way to see the mountain for first-time visitors.

Scenic tour
Jul 2021
Our guide, Karen, was very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. She is an excellent driver and tour guide. She navigated the mountain roads very well and she was able to answer all of the questions that were asked. We were provided a picnic breakfast of muffins and coffee cake, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. The picnic lunch was much more than we expected and consisted of chicken, cauliflower salad, sweet potatoes, tofu, and a variety of beverages. It was my husband's 80th birthday and we were given a surprise of a chocolate birthday cake! The tour was unrushed and we were given ample time to stop and enjoy the surrounding beauty and take photographs. I highly recommend this tour. You will never regret spending the money to see such beautiful and majestic scenery!

Great experience on Mt. Rainier
Jul 2021
Trip was led by Eric Lee K. (Elk), and there were six other guests. It was effectively a luxury private tour, enabling to experience the national park at its best. After a little input on what each guest wanted to do, we had great time looking for sights, hiking and enjoying our time. Elk was very informative throughout and tried some fun stories, but he really shined talking about biodiversity (naming and explaining all plants and animals we were looking at) and the environment. It was a long time since I stopped in wonder at a little spider spinning a web. We covered 3 trails, walking over 12000 steps, without any rush and everyone at their own pace. Most of the time we were outdoors, approx. 5 hours in van and 6 out. At the best spot, and right time, he rolled a cloth and served a delicious picnic lunch, with choices (blueberry chicken salad was excellent). It was a royal treatment. Binoculars were there when needed. Water, treats and snacks were always available, no need to stop anywhere. I was happy and relaxed in the end. It would have taken me two days to see what I saw on my own, at higher cost and without a graduate explaining things (he is not a 'naturalist', he is a real professional with an obvious passion for the local environment). Do this tour, you won't regret it.

Great trip to Ranier with Evergreen Escapes
Jul 2021
This was a great trip with Justin! We saw the mountain up close and learned our way around for future trips. He told us about Ranier's history and past earthquakes and giant landslides that have shaped the region - he made geology fun!! It was an interesting and entertaining trip.
We appreciate the skill that it takes to adapt the tour to the individuals on the trip who may have different interests, along with changing weather and traffic, etc.
(We also went on the Olympic tour I'll review separately)

A trip to remember!
Great tour with Jake at the wheel. He knew everything about everything. Our group was game to hike as high as was practical and Jake lead us up. Then we visited the old growth forest which was equally cool. Loved the native anecdotes and legends our guide told us. It was really a trip to remember!!

Best day of our vacation to Seattle
Jun 2021 • Couples
We did this day trip on June 23rd and had Marty as our guide. It was our favorite day of our six day trip to this beautiful state. Marty took us to places that were not crowded with the general public which allowed us to really appreciate this stunning area. It was right before the heat wave so we were lucky to still snowshoe on Mt. Rainer. I can't say enough - just stunning views. I also should mention the yummy lunch. There was not one thing that was not liked by everyone on our trip. Thank you Marty for a fabulous day!
