Got picked up right near our downtown hotel and returned. Very interesting tour and well worth the cost. I also liked the fact that most of the work done is by humans and not machines.
This half-day tour gives you an insider's look at the Boeing factory, where airplanes are designed and built. During the trip, take a guided tour of the facilities with a small group of other curious travelers and learn about the Boeing 747, 757, 767, 777, and 787 Dreamliner planes in production. You’ll also get to wander through the Future of Flight Aviation Center and its interactive exhibits.
Begin your Boeing tour with convenient pickup at your downtown Seattle hotel. Climb into a comfortable vehicle for the ride to the factory, about 25 minutes away.
As you travel, listen to commentary on Seattle and Boeing's history in the city, relax, and leave the driving to an expert.
Explore the Aviation Center Gallery upon arrival; this huge space features displays and exhibits to see before your official tour. Meet the Boeing representative, who will show you the inner workings of the assembly plant.
Watch a short film that shows how these enormous planes are constructed, from start to finish, and see each model the company makes in different stages of construction. The tour's last stop is the Future of Flight Aviation Center, which allows you to try a flight simulator build a plane in an interactive exhibit.
Return to Seattle for hotel drop-off at the end of your tour.
The Boeing facility is very impressive. The amount of detail that is required to put a plane together is mind boggling, and to see the craftsmen and women working with their hands to build these planes is pretty cool. The tour could use some more...More
Get an inside look and see airplanes in different stages of construction. Very nice tour of the facility. You are restricted to specific areas of the factory, for good reason, but still a must see. Tour guide was awesome and kept us entertained.
Being interested in planes I eagerly awaited this visit. They took us on a bus and showed us an overview of the construction of the 747 and the 777's from a high vantage point in the factories. But that was it. I would have liked...More
Boeing is one of the companies that makes one proud to be an American. The sheer scale, precision and technology shows that American is second to none. The tour was informative and engaging and one got a good sense of the manufacture of airplanes.
