- benbA1560KA0 contributionsThis is a MUST when visiting Seattle!Cheryl was a fantastic tour guide! She was kind, courteous and knowledgable of all things Seattle and the Mt. Rainier National Park. My wife and I were travelling with our two children (6 and 9yrs old) and we all had such a wonderful day with Cheryl. She showed us all of the sites and sounds of the beautiful National Park. We highly recommend her and we will absolutely be contacting her again when we revisit Seattle. Thanks again for all of the memories!Written 10 September 2024

- Ksarangee0 contributionsA Phenomal Tour of Seattle with a Delightful Tour Guide and Magnificent Hospitality!Cheryl took us not only to Mount Rainier (Longmire Trail of the Shadows, Christine Falls, Narada Falls, Nisqually Glacier Trail, Reflection Lakes, and Silver Falls) but Snoqualmie Falls, Deception Falls, Leavenworth, Cascade Mountains, Deception Pass State Park, and Whidbey Island. It was a great experience with her heartwarming personality and her spacious and luxurious SUV. Her attitude to take us everywhere was very charming and she would also hike with us. If you ever want to take a memorable and astounding tour of Seattle, I highly recommend Cheryl for you!Written 11 August 2024
- Camper649870443040 contributionsCountryside from SeattleThe entire trip had some many photo opportunities of beautiful landscapes, waterfalls and the quaint Bavarian town. We enjoyed the comfortable ride and Cheryl’s knowledge of the area.Written 29 June 2024
- Trek249142418610 contributionsWorth Every PennyThe trip was delightful. It became overcast and rainy, so the weather did not cooperate, but within the limitations of that Cheryl took us to see the most breathtaking sights. We experienced everything from sunshine to rain to snow, and experienced awesome scenery. Picking up on our frequent trips to the Smoky Mountains, she made sure we were able to witness plenty of what made the Mount Rainer area unique. We saw enormous pine trees, beautiful waterfalls, and the mountains clothed in snow. She was informative, and knew the mountains extremely well. She was great company and an excellent guide. And she took us to a wonderful restaurant in a converted railroad passenger car that was a unique treat. We returned to Seattle on secondary roads and saw a good deal of what Washington State was like around the Cascades. I'm glad we took her tour.Written 25 May 2024
- Tourist220302218600 contributionsAmazing tour with CherylCheryl not only entertained us with her insightful talk about geology of Olympic peninsula and biology of temperate rainforest forest but also guided us to the uncrowded beautiful trails courteously telling us about the plants and animals we witnessed. This tour became unforgettable memory.Written 6 January 2024

- ogieo20170 contributionsWhidbey Island experienceWe did a private tour of Whidbey Island and came away very impressed with the knowledge of Cheryl, our guide, as well as her level of customer service. We visited state parks with breathtaking views, Fort Casey and its historical sites, and several quaint little towns that we totally enjoyed walking around. She was quite flexible and tailored the tour to our timeframe and interests. We strongly recommend her.Written 22 November 2023

- O1233TDmichaelc0 contributionsGreat Day with Awesome ViewsCheryl planned a variety of stops for our tour enabling us to see native trees, flowers, waterfalls and of course the Mt. Rainier summit. She was very knowledgeable and provided great information. She also adjusted our hikes to accommodate my sometimes troublesome knees. We had a great day.Written 7 September 2023
- TvS70 contributionsBest private Mt Rainier tour-Great Experience!Cheryl was a great guide and we thoroughly enjoyed the Mt Rainier tour. She customizes each tour to your preference and abilities for hiking the different trails and if you'd rather do a picnic lunch or a restaurant meal. She's very knowledgeable about the history and geography of the area which we luved learning about. It's great going with someone local who knows where all the restrooms and water refill stations are AND the secret picnic spot with a beautiful view of the mountain! She also provides some snacks and really nice reusable water bottle that you get to keep. If we ever make it back to the ared we will definitely come back for another tour.Written 2 August 2023
- Bkchero0 contributionsMount Rainier Tour July 19, 2023We initially booked a tour of Mt. St. Helens as a pre-cruise trip. Unfortunately the road to the visitor's center was washed out in a mudslide so Cheryl suggested switching to Mt. Rainier. It ended up being a fantastic day. The mountain and surrounding national park are spectacular to visit. Cheryl knew all the good spots for pictures, hikes, a scenic lunch and park history. She also knew a lot about what we saw and explained it well. We would recommend her tours to anyone.Written 29 July 2023

Cheryl’s tour was the highlight of my Seattle trip. I was picked up directly from my hotel. She was extremely knowledgeable about Whidbey Island and shared many interesting facts. I could tell that she catered to my interests and adjusted the tour accordingly. At one point we spotted a bald eagle directly about the vehicle. I jokingly asked her where the button was that she pushed to release the Eagle. I truly had a wonderful tour.

That was so fun. I loved that eagle at just the right time. Good mojo I guess. You were great, thanks for taking the tour.

This is the second time I have been to Deception Pass on Whidbey Island with Cheryl's Northwest Tours. The first time was for the annual (and delicious) Mussel Festival. I enjoyed that trip so much that I decided to go on the Deception Pass Bridge Island tour and I was not disappointed. This tour company really makes you feel important. They only use SUV size vehicles that limit the number of people who can take the tour at the same time. It makes for such a personal and specialized outing and it's great to be able to talk to the tour guide one-on-one without a bus full of people to contend with. Thanks for another great day and all of the beautiful scenery that we enjoyed together. I can't say enough good things about this tour company and the great people who work there. I will be back!

After being told by our travel agent that no private tours to Whidbey Island were available, I found Cheryl on Trip Advisor. I contacted her, explained what we wanted to do (which included a drive down the street in Mount Vernon where my parents lived in 1943), plus stops in Oak Harbor at the PBY Museum and near the Naval Air Station where my dad was based during WWII as a PBY pilot, and she said no problem.
Cheryl was very accomodating of all of our requests. She also was very knowledgable of the Puget Sound area and its history and geography. We walked the bridge at Deception Pass and toured the park. She took us to a great waterfront spot for lunch in Coupeville. Our day concluded with a ride back to the mainland on the Whidbey Island ferry.
Our vehicle was clean and comfortable, and Cheryl was very personable. She picked us off and dropped us off at our downtown Seattle hotel. If you want a personalized tour of the Northwest, contact her! I am glad we did!!

I appreciate your feedback. I learned some new information at the museum, and you made the day extra fun with the visits to Dad's past. Thanks.
