About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Tourist220302218600 contributionsAmazing tour with CherylCheryl not only entertained us with her insightful talk about geology of Olympic peninsula and biology of temperate rainforest forest but also guided us to the uncrowded beautiful trails courteously telling us about the plants and animals we witnessed. This tour became unforgettable memory.Written 6 January 2024

- lesliewX1308RC0 contributionsWhidbey Island day tripCheryl’s tour was the highlight of my Seattle trip. I was picked up directly from my hotel. She was extremely knowledgeable about Whidbey Island and shared many interesting facts. I could tell that she catered to my interests and adjusted the tour accordingly. At one point we spotted a bald eagle directly about the vehicle. I jokingly asked her where the button was that she pushed to release the Eagle. I truly had a wonderful tour.Written 29 November 2023
- ogieo20170 contributionsWhidbey Island experienceWe did a private tour of Whidbey Island and came away very impressed with the knowledge of Cheryl, our guide, as well as her level of customer service. We visited state parks with breathtaking views, Fort Casey and its historical sites, and several quaint little towns that we totally enjoyed walking around. She was quite flexible and tailored the tour to our timeframe and interests. We strongly recommend her.Written 22 November 2023

- O1233TDmichaelc0 contributionsGreat Day with Awesome ViewsCheryl planned a variety of stops for our tour enabling us to see native trees, flowers, waterfalls and of course the Mt. Rainier summit. She was very knowledgeable and provided great information. She also adjusted our hikes to accommodate my sometimes troublesome knees. We had a great day.Written 7 September 2023

- TvS70 contributionsBest private Mt Rainier tour-Great Experience!Cheryl was a great guide and we thoroughly enjoyed the Mt Rainier tour. She customizes each tour to your preference and abilities for hiking the different trails and if you'd rather do a picnic lunch or a restaurant meal. She's very knowledgeable about the history and geography of the area which we luved learning about. It's great going with someone local who knows where all the restrooms and water refill stations are AND the secret picnic spot with a beautiful view of the mountain! She also provides some snacks and really nice reusable water bottle that you get to keep. If we ever make it back to the ared we will definitely come back for another tour.Written 2 August 2023
- Bkchero0 contributionsMount Rainier Tour July 19, 2023We initially booked a tour of Mt. St. Helens as a pre-cruise trip. Unfortunately the road to the visitor's center was washed out in a mudslide so Cheryl suggested switching to Mt. Rainier. It ended up being a fantastic day. The mountain and surrounding national park are spectacular to visit. Cheryl knew all the good spots for pictures, hikes, a scenic lunch and park history. She also knew a lot about what we saw and explained it well. We would recommend her tours to anyone.Written 29 July 2023
- Linda M0 contributionsGreat Wine Tasting & Washington State ExperienceCheryl planned a great day of wine tasting for us and planned little extra touches that made even the trip from our Seattle hotel to the vineyards/wineries and back an enjoyable experience. She called us ahead to customize the trip per our preferences, she pointed out highlights along the way after picking us up from our hotel, and made sure we had snacks, water (and water bottle to keep), and tailored lunch across a couple of the wineries per our preference, all in addition to the wine tasting experiences at three wineries that had a great diversity and delicious wines. Besides the wine tasting, the trip back and forth from Seattle was a great part of the experience as we really enjoyed the scenery and learning a little about the different Washington landscapes and climates between Seattle and Eastern Washington (desert area).Written 3 July 2023
- SherrieW9560 contributionsBest day of our trip!My daughter and I did the Snoqualmie Falls, Leavenworth, and Deception Falls tour with Cheryl. What a great day! Cheryl had interesting facts and stories along the route and recommendations in Leavenworth. Absolutely will tour with Cheryl again when next in the area!Written 12 June 2023
- OnAir319791861550 contributionsAmazing day at Mt. RainierCheryl goes above and beyond to provide her guests with the history, geology and tourist information about Seattle and surrounding towns, Mt. Rainier National Park, and the state of Washington while you sit back and enjoy some special treats during the ride. She was truly a wealth of information and stopped numerous times to provide us with photo and shopping opportunities. Cheryl also took time to show us some of her favorite spots. As we were ending our day, we ran into two tour buses and I couldn't help but think how nice it was to have our own personal guide rather than being part of a huge tour. Our day was truly amazing and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Cheryl's Northwest Tours to anyone visiting the Seattle area!Written 9 June 2023
- Stay129829387840 contributionsIf you’re looking to experience nature……We spent a lovely day with Cheryl, she was very friendly and customised our tour to suit our needs. We saw all of the sights and Cheryl was full of information regarding Mount Rainier, the surroundings and the history of the area. We stopped at a small restaurant for lunch, the experience could have been better, but that was beyond Cheryl’s control. It was a wonderful day out in nature with the trees, wildlife and powerful waterfalls. Cheryl was great!!!Written 7 June 2023
- tobyg8570 contributionsWe got to know SeattleWhat a terrific day we had with Cheryl. From the complementary water bottles to the comfortable SUV and Cheryl’s warm personality, we were off to a great start. Our tour took us to the many neighborhoods of Seattle. Cheryl explained the history of the city. We enjoyed the fishing docks and the fish ladder and a car tour of Pike Place. All in all, it was a wonderful experience. Thanks, Cheryl.Written 6 May 2023
- Donald C0 contributionsIncredible visit to Olympic National ParkWe went in late April and there had been so much snow that seeing Hurricane Ridge wasn’t possible. So, we went into the south of the park and enjoyed 2 incredible hikes through the temperate rain forest. Surreal landscape with towering trees, moss covered vegetation and pristine streams. Cheryl is extremely knowledgeable and very conversant in all aspects of Olympic National Park. Good driver. Comfortable transportation. Highly recommended.Written 26 April 2023

Our tour guide was fantastic!
Lyle was very knowledgeable and gave us a personalized tour that we really appreciated as a family.
We enjoyed more sights than we’re advertised because she payed close attention to our interests.
She even took us to a sight where they filmed Harry and the Henderson’s (:
What a cool experience. Thanks!

Before my trip to Seattle I reached out to Cheryl and talked about her tours. As a photographer wanted to get in as much as I could. She was great to talk with and I booked the Waterfalls, Mountains and Bavaria Tour.
Janet our tour guide called me the day prior and went over the tour, time she was picking me up and what the weather was going to be like. Something that previous tours never have done.
Janet made the trip fun, educational and allowed me as a photographer to explore within reason.
The one thing I would point out about the tour that was disappointing is that we stopped to use the restroom and it was the same place we saw Bridal Veil Falls. But the falls was miles away and if it wasn't for my telephoto lens, I wouldn't have captured a tight photo. I believed we were going up to the falls and not seeing from miles away.
None the less, it was a great company, great views, great conversation and great sights to be seen.

Thank you for your review. We want our guests to know what to expect, and we'll make a note to share that the 3rd waterfall on the tour is a distance view. Happy Travels.

Cheryl was our driver and guide and she was fantastic - very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. The tour was absolutely wonderful - magnificent scenery of mountains and waterfalls, and lunch at the very quaint and interesting little Bavarian town of Leavenworth. Cheryl was very adaptive and made it a great day for us.
