There is an opportunity to see moose, small mammals, birds, and maybe even a bear! We will have you back to the city in plenty of time to visit our great local restaurants, or maybe even take a museum or brewery tour. “A great nature Walk”
Aug 2021
Booked this excursion as a way to get our feet wet (no pun intended) as we were getting into Anchorage very late/early the night before, but still wanted to do something on our first day in Alaska…..and boy did we do something!!!!! Matt picked up my wife and myself and we were his only clients for the day. We had a personal tour, and a very knowledgeable guide, who knew what could and could not be eaten. If Matt says you can eat a berry, trust him…they may not be totally ripe, but you will get tastes like you have never had before (who has ever had a watermelon berry??)

And no matter how you get to Barbara Falls (the easy route or the challenging route), just make sure you go. The picture above doesn’t do it justice.

Thank you for your feedback! There are so many edible plants and berries all around us. And I agree - photos never do justice!

Very challenging
A very challenging walk over steep and rocky terrain. A great time. Did not see any bears or moose... just lots of mosquitoes. Bring water!

Barbara Falls is a must see
Jul 2021
Leah was our guide. She was so sweet and informative. It was raining super hard but that didn't deter us. Her pace was perfect and gave us lots of time to take in all the beautiful scenery. It was the highlight of our trip.

Greetings and thanks for taking the time to leave us a review! Well done on enduring the rain! Sometimes the rain in Alaska provides some of the best experiences. I'll pass along your review to Leah, and let her know your satisfaction. Take Care!

Nice Hike
Had a great time, our guide (I think her name is Chelsea) is very knowledgeable. She also has a story or two of why I can’t remember her name. The falls were amazing. No moose or bear sightings this trip but still had a great time.

I'm (really) glad to hear! Who'd have thought the hardest park of the trip would be the parking lot, haha. But seriously, thanks for coming out with us!
