Guide was knowledgeable and friendly and tour was fantastic for learning about the city of Anchorage as well as seeing wildlife and beautiful landscapes. Definitely would consider this to be an essential when visiting Anchorage!

Great tour of Wildlife Conservation Center and Portage Glacier. Teresa, our guide from Welcome Anchorage Tours, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We received texts when she was in route to pick us up and when she arrived. She even followed up with us when she found something left in the van after the tour.

This tour was by far one of the best that I was in Alaska, our tour guide Rick, is a fenomenal guy, fun, entertaining, knowledgeable, smart and very friendly, very comfortable ride in a Mercedes Vialy, we were able to see nice Anchorage local places, if you want to see bears this is the tour, we went and contemplate Glaciers, the views are stunning, it had it all!

Beautiful views, and SO educational! We made some new friends on the cruise and enjoyed all aspects of the itinerary. Just the right amount of time for being aboard!

This was a really excellent tour. Rick was well prepared and made the tour interesting and fun. We got some incredible pictures of the lakes and glaciers, and the wildlife conservation centre was great. Highly recommended tour!

Don, our driver was great! He was very personable and knowledgeable about Anchorage and the surrounding area. We were fortunate to have a small group, only 8 of us including Don and an infant who was surprisingly very good on this day trip. If you don’t have a lot of time in Anchorage, this would be a great tour to take. It’s also very nice to have hotel pick-up!

If you are not in a hurry and want a full day transfer tour from Seward to Alaska, this is for you, what a fantastic tour!!! We were on a post cruise stay in Seward and later in the season so the train from Seward to Anchorage had already stopped, and we were disappointed about that, so we booked this transfer as our transpiration. But how wrong we were, this was far better than the train transfer could have ever been! It was in a practically brand new Mercedes Sprinter van, had door to door service and James our guide (longtime Alaskan local) was by far the most knowledgeable guide about Alaska, telling us all kinds of little known facts, and took us to the most amazing and interesting stops for photos and stories, that you would not typically see or experience on a normal tour. We also were given a cute little nylon string bag filled with water bottles and snacks for the journey. We felt very special and at the end of the day were so happy that the train was not running! For a wonderful experience and incredible hospitality, be sure to book this transfer tour!

Great tour. Rick was so informative and made the trip very enjoyable. Thank you Rick. Learned and saw a lot. Enjoyed seeing the turnagain arm, spotted beluga whales, saw salmon in stream, glacier, ski resort, lunch at delicious restaurant in girdwood and tour of animal conservation center. Great day.

My husband and I met a wonderful tour guide Don who escorted us everywhere. We wanted to go and met every need that we had. He was very pleasant and he shared some of his favorite beautiful scenic spots with us as he was a local. My husband and I were not disappointed with the weather. It was slightly overcast and rainy, but it could’ve been worse and we were able to get out of the Vehicle and walk around and enjoy many different scenic spots breathtaking views!!! welcome Anchorage was timely and prompt brought a snacks and water and hand sanitizer. My husband was working so I booked this tour for myself. It was amazing. Rick was our tour guide and he was wonderful- knowledgeable, kind, and entertaining. We saw Beluga whales at two different look outs, Arctic swans, bald eagles, spawning salmon, not to mention all of the animals at the wildlife sanctuary. The views of the mountains and the glaciers were spectacular. It was a great day.

Went with James the owner from Anchorage to Seward one way. Picked us up in a Mercedes Van. Clean and toured Anchorage and other sights to Seward, glaciers, salmon and other places for the day. Well worth the money. Has lived in Alaska for 45 years!

Arranging the trip tour was super easy and the tour was excellent! We booked the tour to take us from our cruise ship in Seward to the airport in Anchorage. Rick arrived as we disembarked with a beautiful luxury Suburban or the five adults in our group and off we were on a sightseeing adventure! We learned so much about life in Alaska, the culture and people! We stopped at two locations to see the Salmon running and learned a lot about salmon, wishing and how Alaskans prepare and store it! We stopped for a wi detail lunch and went to the wild Life Preserve and stopped several places for photos and searching for Beluga! Rick was great and made our over 6 hour tour and day a great finale to our trip and the best support transfer! Highly recommend this rather than taking the train and sitting at the airport waiting for your evening flight!

We had excellent time with guide-driver Rick🤗- great guide, took a really good care of us, showed us many great spots, answered all questions and told and explained much more, we saw beautiful views, took many pictures - glaciers, salmon, animals in the Aljaska Wildlife Conservation center..We came all the way from Czech Republic - Europe and this was our first trip in Alaska and this was a really good start 😁! Plus I realy appreciated perfect service around all the tour - individual, very nice and helpful communication and possibility of the small group. Thank you🤗♥️

Cortney was an excellent guide and host. It was an amazing excursion. She was so knowledgeable, personable and professional. The transfer was from Whittier to Anchorage and it was a best way to end our Alaska tour. She fully looked after all of us, family and friends of 7. Even though pick up was delayed Jen kept us fully informed and lunch place was amazing in Girdwood. We had hoped to see Byron Glacier closely but due to weather was not possible but Cortney took us to the amazing mountain places which was better than watching the glacier. We had watched the Glacier in the cruise. I would highly recommend to take the Private Tour and tour with Welcome Anchorage.
