Great trip, excellent guidance, organized leaders best of outcomes
Where to start with the accolades! Seven friends joined Sean and Amy (guides who became friends) on a remarkable private adventure up Sol Duc, over the High Divide and down into the Hoh Valley with a side trip to see up close Mount Olympus and the Blue Glacier. In brief we were well outfitted & provisioned and guided through our days with care and thoughtfulness. Key elements: Planning and coordination - 2 of us began 7-8 months prior discussing our goals, our group dynamics and wishes and after careful listening and deep knowledge of the park developed a plan High marks for this engagement and outcome. Early in the year we secured out window and agreed a plan and signed up our initial crew. Step 2 was securing campsite permits. As it is a jump ball when permits open, Tommy and Trevor couldn't quite match our intended itinerary. We jumped on a call and discussed our concerns and schedule flexibility and the next day were able to create a plan B itinerary that was frankly better than our original plan. They listened and were super responsive. The company had logistics and planning down cold. We received guidance on packing, weather expectations, gear offered as part of the package, recommended lodging and ideas for spending a couple of days prior. This is their home leading to excellent recs. Just prior we received a detailed weather forecast, confirmation of all details including food, equipment we intended to bring, lodging etc. We came in confident, prepared and ready to enjoy. The trip itself then fell into place. Sean and Amy were/are both seasoned and experienced guides with the skills to lead and come with personalities to engage with and adapt to each of us. As most of us had not backpacked before, this was a key part to our enjoyment. We marched up the trails, down the trails, took a swim in a refreshing lake, explored 2 rainforests and a glacier, ate well and thoroughly wore our bodies down (in a good way). 5 stars in every measure I can think of and so happy we chose Olympic Hiking and Olympic National Park for our adventure!

The half day tour of Olympic National p park was just enough to get a good feel for the area. The rainforest was awesome. Adam was a great tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and even gave us dinner recommendations for after the tour. Highly recommend

Excellent Tour Led by Port Angeles Local!
Excellent tour led by a Port Angeles local! You really cannot beat a local who knows all the ins and outs of the area and especially Olympic National Park... Adam was incredibly knowledgeable and provided information on so many different topics. All the stops we made were beautiful and he was always providing details for us and answering questions. For those who may be concerned the hikes on this tour are too difficult, they are not. Everything we hiked to was short and more like a "walk." The hike to Marymere Falls has some steep uphill, but it's not long and you do not have to go all the way to the second lookout that's up higher than the first. *** I recommend waterproof hiking boots for pretty much everything in ONP. We are from the desert, so we were incredibly grateful for our waterproof hiking boots... Not only for the waterproof part, as you will be walking in some water, mud and possibly rain, but for the foot and ankle support while hiking over river and mountain rocks. *** While my husband and I are not really "tour people" we appreciated the 4 hours of knowledge and sightseeing to assist with us getting our bearings. Olympic National Park is huge and can be somewhat daunting to figure out what trails to hike, where to go exactly and navigating the drive times as well. The tour really helped with that part of exploring and we were happy we booked it. Highly recommend! Wayne & Jill Corbeille, Las Vegas, NV

Excellent experience! A group of 6 of us , first time snow shoeing with varying ages and agility took the guided tour with Eric and Pete. It was a fantastic experience! The guides definitely enjoy what they do. They were always checking on us, providing us with tips and ensuring everyone was doing well. They know the routes best, what to look out for and which layers to take off when exerting ourselves! Pete also had great jokes as he does improv. Eric's experience as a guide and fun facts regarding the growths on trees was interesting. Lunch was excellent. This is the way to go and the shuttle driver was great on the twisty roads up.

      Highly recommended winter adventure
I wanted to snow shoe on Hurricane Ridge for the longest time, and I decided to go with a guide so I could just relax and enjoy myself. It was so worth it! Tommy was great at making me feel welcome and getting to know me. The guides were constantly checking on everyone and customized the trek based on everyone's needs. We had perfect visibility and it was a wonderful experience!

Sea level to mountaintops in minutes
Sunday service - bus only, no guidance, free to do as I pleased at the top of the ridge for 5 hours, which was just what I wanted. The sun shone and the views were therefore stunning. Very friendly and accommodating service, and the only game in town over winter.

      Awesome Olympic National Park Tour
It was a perfect tour and the stops were great with hiking and great learning and photo opportunities. The weather was perfect, sunny and clear, more than we could ask for. Our tour guide Oscar was great - super knowledgeable, friendly, pointing out small details and answering questions! Olympic Touring Co’s small group size and transportation were perfect for the amazing Sol Duc, Lake Crescent, Hurricane Ridge tour. We were super lucky to have a great experience of seeing salmon run on the way – out of this world!

      Awesome tour
I can’t recommend Olympic Hiking Co enough. I completed two of their tours and had a wonderful experience. If I had to pick just one, it would be hard to choose but, this tour would be the one that I would recommend given the number of stops and what they had to offer. They were so knowledgeable and kind and it was a great guided experience. After a lot of driving around the state, it was so nice to have all of this trip taken care of and they ensured we got to make the most of it. Book the tour!

      Best Day Ever!
Trevor and Tommy were helpful with logistics and tour suggestions even before we started our trip. They always seemed readily available to answer any questions by phone, text, or email. Tracey was our guide for this tour, and she was amazing. She knew so much and was sooo experienced, but most of all she cracked us up the entire time. We all had so much fun!

Helpful and kind when stuff happens!
We received outstanding service after booking a shuttle from our car parked at Hoh Rainforest over to Sol Duc Hot Springs to start a 3-day hike back over the High Divide. First, when our flight was delayed, Tommy worked with us to reschedule on short notice. Then our shuttle driver Chris proved to be a friendly and helpful tour guide. Afterwards when a family member found they’d left a cell phone in the van, Jessie made sure that staff member Gene met us in Forks to kindly return it. The cost isn’t cheap, but their service rescued our trip…twice!! A+++

      Great Experience
The guide, Tracy, was friendly and knowledgeable. She paced the day to the group requirements. None of the hikes were strenuous, but the views were brilliant. The falls were beautiful and Hurricane Ridge breathtaking, but not for anyone who doesn't like heights. Lots of wildlife. A great day.

Great service and friendly shuttle driver
Booked shuttle service from Shi Shi to Ozette Trailhead so friends and I could through-hike from Cape Alava. Even though I missed the booking window, Olympic Hiking Co. was able to send a driver out for me. What a driver! Gene was incredibly gregarious and kept making me laugh. So grateful that OHC was able to help make my trip happen. When winter rolls around I will be looking into booking with them for backcountry ski adventures.

We could not have had a better experience as first time travelers to the Pacific Northwest. Tommy, the owner, personally answered phone calls and texts with answers to our questions before the trip. Our guide, Oscar was full of trivia and important information about the area. The van ride was cool and comfortable. He narrated throughout the entire day and gave us a real sense of the spirit of the area. He also had a lot of information about the flora of the area and did an incredible job narrating the rain forest trails. It would have been an entirely different trip without him. Highly recommend!

I was fortunate to have Tommy Ferris as my guide for the day. He was super nice, informed and patient when I was not feeling as strong as usual at first. Tommy provided two walking poles and off we went. What a beautiful day and gorgeous trails. Delicious lunch was welcomed before we headed off to Ruby Beach. I was a solo traveler and I highly recommend Olympic Hiking guided hiking to introduce you to the beauties of Olympic National Park. I went during covid and Tommy took all the precautions, we wore masks and it was 88 degrees. He took it easy when I needed to slow down and picked up the pace when I was ready. Can’t say enough good things about my fond memories of the day spent. Learning about the nurturing nature of the rainforests is memorable. I will go with him next visit and hope to bring the entire family.

This was out first visit to olympic and it was a great experience! Tommy our guide was super nice and knowledgable. He told us so many details about the rainforests which we would have otherwise missed. He also stopped at Lake Crescent for quick pictures upon request! Highly recommended and will definitely take other tours in future.

We had limited time in Port Angeles and thought a guided tour would be the best option. We couldn't have chosen better! Our guide, Oscar, is a native of the area, and very knowledgeable. He is also made sure we had a lot of fun. Since it was a private tour, Oscar tailored it to what we wanted to see. The mild rain we had only added to the experience. The Rain Forest is incredible and a must see if you are in the Olympic Peninsula. Be aware of the time of the year and the forecast --make sure you wear appropriate hiking gear as there were a number of muddy places on the trail, and we climbed over a few wet trees. Oscar was very safety conscience, and made sure we were able to navigate over and around any obstacles. The only disappointment was that the road to Rialto Beach was closed, and we didn't get down there. We did go to First Beach instead, and got some incredible stormy ocean photos. Oscar also recommended other places to hike that are accessible from Port Angeles. I would highly recommend the Olympic Hiking Co to anyone interested in hiking in the Olympic Nat'l Forest.

My spouse and I had a really great day exploring Olympic National Park. Adam was a wonderful tour guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable about all the plants and animals we encountered. He allowed for ample time to see sights and we never felt rushed. I will highly recommend this tour to all my friends and family visiting the area.

Bob was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable and informative. If you have a rental car, you can do this on your own, might cover more territory faster. Getting into the Hoh park is a 1.5 hour wait, but with Bob driving, we had time to walk around and explore the beautiful Hoh river while he manned the van. Rialto beach was beautiful. Our group was also great and added to the experience. Stopping in Forks for lunch was enjoyable, we had about half an hour to run into the grocery store and grab a deli sandwich to eat in the van. If you don't have time for an all-day tour, we drove to the Marymere Falls, beautiful short hike with beautiful views and right next to Lake Crescent. Lake Crescent is 672 feet deep with crystal clear water, absolutely amazing. If you have a car, a trip to Cape Flattery is a must, little bit of a drive from Port Angeles, but well worth it.

This was my friends and I’s first time taking a guided tour (we usually hike ourselves) but we only had one day to explore Olympic and thought we’d give the Hiking Co a try. We were not disappointed! The tour was organized and professional and the scenery of course left nothing to be desired (Rialto beach is even better than the pictures in my opinion. The waves are fierce).
However our tour guide Bob honestly made the experience worth it. He was very knowledgeable about the area from both a historical and scientific perspective and made us engage with the landscape on a much deeper level than just ooing and aaing at the moss. He will tell you a secret about the nutrient cycle that will have you looking at all forests differently! Bob was also very patient and engaged genuinely with the group’s unending stream of questions. I wish I had remembered to give him a huge tip to thank him for the effort but I was distracted at the time the tour ended and unfortunately forgot. If you take this tour and inevitably end up loving it please give him some extra love for me. Cheers.

PS the hiking is minimally strenuous. Beginner-friendly or good for hikers on an off-day.

My boyfriend and I had an amazing time with Olympic Hiking Co. From setting up a custom tour through the end of the tour, Olympic Hiking Co. delivered A++ service and we both really enjoyed out time exploring Olympic National Park. Eric was our guide and he was stellar. We learned SO much and definitely plan to come back to Olympic National Park again, and to get an opportunity to explore Port Angeles a little more. I highly recommend this tour company and visiting this national park, we saw so much wildlife on our excursion which made it a truly magical experience!

We did a short nature walk. Pretty crowded during the week after july 4. Cars who arrived at noon were waiting 2.5 hours for a parking spot. We arrived at 10
And had no problem. Trees covered in lichen make for interesting sights. Truly unique microclimate.

The Olympic Hiking Co. day tours are an easy way for any solo traveler or group to experience the magic of Olympic National Park. We went to beautiful places, and the guide, Eric, did all the driving. He was a safe and trustworthy driver and hiking guide, as well as being a knowledgeable naturalist. At the beginning, he asked each person what we wanted to get out of the experience, which helped him make sure our goals for the trip were met. I went on two day trips, covering the Hoh Rainforest, Rialto Beach, Sol Duc Falls, Lake Crescent, and Hurricane Ridge. Both days were wonderful, and I'd do it the same way if I had to start over. I learned a lot about the park and its surroundings that I wouldn't have picked up if I'd gone on my own. I would have been comfortable on this trip as a solo traveler. The van has a lot of headroom and tall windows so you can enjoy the scenery, and the guide led good conversations in the van so that the travel was pleasant.
