Excellent Bike Tour
Sep 2021
James was very knowledgeable about everything in Salt Lake. He took us places that the normal tourist would not necessarily know about. His tour was very informative and lots of fun! Thank you for showing us around!

Fun and informative way to get to know SLC
Jun 2021
We had a really fantastic tour with Jace. In addition to being very personable and knowledgeable about his home town, Jace really made the tour very specific for us, as my wife and I were the only ones on the tour at the time. He took the time to show us some great spots, and explained the history of the city, neighborhoods and buildings we saw. It was a really good way to see a new city, and gave us a better feel for it than we previously had.

I also want to mention James, the owner of the business, who communicated so well, and made sure that we could be on the tour at the only time we could make it, even though they were full up.

Great way to start visit to SLC
Bike tour was fabulous. James drove up with his trailer full of assorted bikes and we were off to explore SLC. He did a wonderful job of including interesting trivia about the sites he showed us. We got to see some highlights and were always told more if we had any questions. Great way to start our visit to this interesting city.

Friendly and educational tour!
May 2021 • Family
This was my first bike tour and it said the bar high for all other tours that may follow. Our tour guide James was friendly and really knew his stuff. My favorite part was the lovely weather, the breeze on my face and getting to learn stuff that I never would’ve even thought about. My bike was easy to ride and had no problems. The tour was great but what made it excellent was our friendly tour guy James and his vast knowledge of the city.

Falling in Love with SLC on Bike
Jun 2020
James is excellent and proud guide of his hometown. He took us through neighborhoods and attractions that we would not have seen on our own. The city became even more beautiful with this tour. One of our top memories on our trip to Utah. Highly recommend!

Bizarre
My husband and I have done several bike tours and this one was the most bizarre. The guide asked us where we wanted to go rather than it being a specific planned tour which is what we were expecting. Great to provide flexibility but not so great if you’re looking for a tour that shows you the sites. The guide didn’t actually provide much information and seemed to be at a loss as to what to do. He mentioned several things he would show us but I’m not sure that we saw them. The tour also only lasted just over 2 hours rather than the 3 advertised and that included 20 mins looking in the Capitol building, and 10 mins walking round the farmers market. As I said a very bizarre experience and disappointing given the price and other good reviews.

SLCBiKeTours
Dear reviewer, This is, indeed, bizarre, and I am so sorry this happened! As this ended up being an Electric-bike tour, and not a regular Salt Lake Bicycle Tour, the person who took you on the tour was not Salt Lake Bicycle Tours personnel, but instead, the E-Bike shop's personnel. He is a guide that we have previously trusted, and have a good relationship with, however, this is deeply troubling to our company, and we very much appreciate the feedback you have given us. It is Salt Lake Bicycle Tours' commitment to give everyone who comes to us an experience of excellent quality, and I appreciate that your review does tip a hat to our other good reviews.  Your frustrations, therefore, are very valid, and I want to say Thank You for your honesty, and your business. I wish things had turned out differently, as we take time to train our Bike Tour guides thoroughly, and I hope that this unfavorable experience will not stop you from taking other Bike Tours elsewhere around the world, contributing to this exciting industry. Sincerely, James Miska Founder

Great guide, great tour - bit overpriced
I would like to thank James for the very interesting tour. He knows a lot about the city, it’s history and (hidden) places to go.

The small downside was that you have to be flexible with your preferred date. The tour will only start if there are 4 or more people subscribed. Since we were only 2 we had to do the tour on Sunday or no tour at all (except if we payed for 4 people, which would cost way too much). Brings me to the price, we thought it was a bit overpriced, for this price in Europe we would get new bikes with multiple gears, the bikes we got where old and had no gears.

Overall I would recommend this tour (try to do it on your first day in SLC), James is a great guide.

Great tour and views
Aug 2019
We toured Salt Lake City with James, he was extremely informative with his dialog and when asked questions. The route was quite reasonable as I have not been on a bike for 3 years and this was very good.
Salt Lake City is a beautiful place, wide roads, clean city and the flowers were fabulous.
I highly recommend this tour.

Perfect in every way
I called the day before to see if we could get a bike tour for the next morning for 3 of us. Usually the bike tours are a minimum of 4 so, but James was so sweet and nice he just did the tour himself with the three of us. We had a delightful time. He is so easy to talk to and he answered all our questions. The tour was a perfect pace and an easy ride. We had a limited amount of time and this was the perfect way to see the city. I highly recommend taking a bike tour with James!

We happened to be there on Pioneer Day but James helped us navigate crowds and parade. It was fun and the bikes were comfortable. Whole family had fun.
