- Y907QIliamm0 contributionsHighly, highly recommend.Absolutely incredible time. Myself and 3 friends, (all beginners), climbed in the Granite Dells right outside of Prescott. Climbing guide Jayci made us all feel super comfortable and trusting that we weren't going to get hurt, while still pushing us past our comfort zones and challenging us to climb routes we weren't even sure we could do ourselves. He was super calm and patient while we fumbled and slipped and tried to find our footing - it made the experience less stressful and quite fun!Written 7 October 2024

- nikkiv9800 contributionsFun for the whole familyWe did the four hour climbing trip in Prescott with Chris as a guide. Our family of six had a great time! Kids ranging from age 9-18 all loved it and so did we! It was a perfectly challenging, fun activity and a great first climbing experience.Written 1 April 2024
- O6024UEbriannaw0 contributionsTons of fun!Jacyi was an amazing guide! He was very encouraging for us first timers but was taught basic technique of rappelling. Highly recommend, the first few steps are scary but then its nothing but fun!Written 20 March 2024
- Diana V0 contributionsSo fun! Great for teensOur guide Javan was awesome. Myself, my husband and our 15 year old son did the two hour rock climbing at Saguaro NP. Javan was so patient and gave us excellent guidance so that we could make it to the top. My son did three different routes, I was so happy I completed one. Totally recommend!Written 12 March 2024
- B3071WUnadinec0 contributionsJust Do It !We had such an amazing time on our half day climbing tour in Prescott. Our Guide Ben was awesome. We felt so safe with him, he explained everything really clearly to us and was enthusiastic and supportive in his encouragement. We were celebrating a birthday and it was so extra special. Ben was both super professional and highly personable. We definitely want to go again, and are looking into the canyoneering next time. Ben made us feel relaxed and secure. My arms are still sore but it was worth it ! We absolutely will be recommending Arizona Climbing Guides to everyone we know and will be doing this again ! Thank you so much !Written 7 March 2024
- 253karis0 contributionsAmazing half day of climbing Prescott Granite Dells!Highly recommend Arizona Climbing Guides! Our guide Chris was attentive to our climbing abilities, knowledgeable about the area, and led us to some great routes. He reached out a few days ahead of our reservation to introduce himself and ask if we had any questions. We arrived a bit early for our reservation and he was already waiting, ready to head out for our adventure!Written 29 January 2024
- Curiosity3872090 contributionsExcellent half-day adventure for teen sonsWe arranged a half day rock climbing adventure in Superior (outside of Phoenix) for our sons (18 and 14). Our guide, Ben, was an excellent instructor for them, as this was their first experience with rock climbing. My husband and I were able to watch and take pictures as they climbed. The boys were thrilled with the experience and would like to do it again. Prior to our trip, Ben reached out to introduce himself and asked our the boys’ experiences and what they would like to get out of the trip. When he saw that it was expected to rain the day of the trip, he contacted me about changing days to a better one. We were happy that he did so. We had a beautiful morning for the climb.Written 21 December 2023
- R8476UJkylem0 contributionsUnforgettable Canyoneering Trip 🧗If you’re interested in an adventure that pushes you safely outside your comfort zone for an experience you won’t forget, Jayci’s your guy. He was a fun, patient and knowledgeable guide on this rappelling trip down Tanque Verde Falls. I’m a very novice climber and never felt like I was left behind. The trip started and ended with incredible views, and there was minimal hiking. I would do this again in a heartbeat and would highly recommend Jayci and his guides!Written 18 December 2023

- cmkcarlson0 contributionsKid friendly climb into Saguaro National ParkWhat a fun time climbing with Arizona Climbing Guides. Our group of 5 included two young children aged 4 and 7. Our guide Jayci was incredible all the way from planning the trip ahead of time through the end of our climb. I contacted them about a month or so before our travels and asked about climbs that would be good to include kids, and they did not disappoint. He recommended the 2 hour climb in Saguaro National Park, and we are so happy we took his recommendation. Everyone in our group, including the two kids, loved the climbing and it was a perfect balance of being challenging while still manageable with little kids and adults alike. Jayci was so encouraging to the adults and kids alike. I highly recommend both Arizona Climbing Guides and the 2 hour Saguaro National Park Climb for anyone of any age looking for a fun climb!Written 28 November 2023
- montyw6820 contributionsGreat guidingAnother great day out climbing with Jaycee, owner of Arizona Climbing Guides. He picked me up on time, did the driving, knew the Cochise Stronghold area well and we had a great day doing a seven pitch route, The Peacemaker. He also has a lot of amazing stories about all the places he has climbed and guided, such as Colorado, Wyoming and to the top of Denali in Alaska. Great guide.Written 23 November 2023

Jayci knew exactly what routes to take me on after a conversation about my climbing experience. Having not climbed in a couple of years, he knew exactly which routes that were challenging, yet do-able. He communicated so that I knew safety measures were in place and encouraged me throughout so that I accomplished the routes we climbed.
He talked me smoothly through my first multi-pitch.

My friend and I flew from Utah to climb for one half day at Mt.Lemmon and 3 full days at Cochise Stronghold. I have climbed with a lot of guides over many years, and can honestly say Jayci was one of the best guides I’ve climbed with. He chose climbs that challenged us, provided exciting and varied climbing terrain, all while keeping us moving through long days, keeping up safe and making us laugh. It was truly a pleasure to climb with Jayci. He made this trip so memorable, and I look forward to climbing with him again in the future. I would highly recommend contacting Arizona Climbing Guides for your next climbing adventure!

Canyoneering was an amazing experience!!! Jayci was absolutely wonderful! The communication about the trip, the safety and instruction, the encouragement for my 12 year old twin boys, the patience to take routes that avoided a swim. He made this trip fantastic! My boys were nervous and a little scared because they had never rappelled. Jayci was right there encouraging them, coaching them, and making them feel good about whatever pace they chose, while letting them know they were doing great and giving them confidence to comfortably go a little faster. The canyoneering itself was an awesome adventure for all of us and the canyon is incredibly beautiful!

My guide, TJ, was very knowledgeable and experienced and I felt safe the entire time. This was my first time rock climbing and he taught me a lot about the sport, like how to tie knots, what each piece of gear did, etc. Best of all I was able to get on the rocks and conquer some of my fears. TJ was patient and encouraging the entire time. The hike to/from the crag was about 1 mile each way with some inclines and beautiful views. I would highly recommend even if you are a first-timer, as there are "easy" climbs available. I was a solo traveler and that wasn't an issue (i.e. no group minimum), which I really appreciate. Going in the morning also allowed for cooler temps and our climbing spot was shady and very comfortable.

Tucson has great access to nature, and the opportunity to climb Mt. Lemmon presented a nice change of pace and muscle group in a week of hiking. I called in advance and was given useful input on which option might work best for me. ACG accommodated my schedule and the gear I could stuff into my carry-on. Jayci, who I spoke to on the phone and my guide for the day, was knowledgeable and attentive to my skill level when picking a wall and identifying some climbs. He was present throughout the day, allowing me time to solve my own problems and providing input when appropriate. It was an incredibly positive experience and I'd recommend giving them a call if you're considering climbing in/around Tucson. To top it off, I even got a stellar recommendation for a sandwich-eating spot further up the mountain 👌 it was a great day

We took a group of 6th grade Girl Scouts on a guided climb at Cochise Stronghold. Cannot recommend our guides enough!! Brandon and Mike were knowledge, professional, and most of all - fun! They encouraged the girls to move out of their comfort zone and really challenge themselves. Their own love of climbing was evident and inspiring. Hoping this experience opened the girls’ eyes to new opportunities!

Brandon was an incredible guide. I have climbed indoors for the last few years, but had no experience climbing outdoors. We had three half days scheduled with the goal of learning how to climb safely outdoors on my own. Each day was tailor made to maximize learning and fun. However, if I had wanted to skip learning and just climb he would have accommodated that as well! I now feel confident climbing outdoors safely (within reason), and am excited to continue learning.
I couldn't recommend this company enough, this was one of the best experiences of my life.

One of the best days of my life!
I was spending the week in Tucson, coming from New York and booked a canyoneering trip with my girlfriend.
Jayci was an amazing guide, explained all of the different techniques and knots while also providing a sense of security and comfort before our big rappels.
I have a pretty intense fear of heights, however Jayci was incredibly patient and reassuring all throughout.
Getting down to the bottom of the canyon was one of the most incredible feelings. The scenery was breathtaking and the immersion into the canyon was a one of a kind experience.
We met a kind young lady who was a part of our group and leaving the canyon we were all best friends.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Having left Tucson, i want to continue Canyoneering/ Mountaineering back in New York.
10/10 !

Did the 7 cataracts with Jayci and had an amazing time. Jayci was quickly able to gauge my comfort level and adjusted the pace accordingly. He is an extremely experienced guide and a great teacher. He's a pro, but he also is easy to have fun with. It was like I was canyoneering with a good buddy. Thanks Jayci. Highly reccomend this trip!

We booked this for a mixed-skill group of twenty-somethings. They came back saying "best day of our lives". The one who had never climbed had a great day. The ones who frequently climb had a great day. All felt safe and like their guide knew exactly what he was doing! (altho they could not recall his name). Would so do this again - highly recommend.
