Before we went on this surfing lesson, my wife was a bit under the weather and nervous as she is not a strong swimmer. However, the location was great for just about anybody. You can surf and literally stand up in the water if needed. The surfboard provided was very large and stable, great for beginners. I was able to stand up pretty much right away and had a great time. My wife fell a couple of times and got scared. However, our instructors Shane and Neil refused to give up and kept guiding her until she finally got that crazy good wave and rode the entire wave! They are very patient and very determined. You can tell that they thoroughly enjoy what they do. Communication with them starts the day before and they are very detailed with the meet up location. All equipment were provided for us and they even take pictures and videos for you while you surf (small charge). The weather that day was amazing and the waves were perfect, not too crazy and enough for us to ride. For a first time surfing, I never felt nervous about getting hurt or injured. It is a great workout as well. Money well spent!

My son and I went for the 2-hour kids surfing adventure with Shane and Captain Neil - and we had a blast! Was a bit worried, booked a class together, and was able to catch three waves (before needing to rest) … my 8-year old son rode 12 of them - all thanks to the enthusiasm and expertise of Shane! Being paddled out and set up with the perfect timing and balance when to get up - and even seeing the biggest turtle ever coming up while paddling out… it was just perfection. There is a shower at the beach to rinse off afterwards, and a food truck for a well-deserved ice cream. Thanks for a magical adventure! We’ll be back for sure.

I have family in Hawaii and am a frequent visitor. Over the past few years, Shane has now taught both my kids to surf (so I'm obviously a repeat customer). This past time, it was my 7 year old son who was excited but also a little scared to go surfing for the first time. Shane totally eased him into it with words of encouragement and stayed close: holding him on the surfboard when they were paddling out and standing up. It was like tandem surfing, but without the acrobatics. I was surfing alongside them and Shane, even with my son on his board, was able to paddle faster than me and catch more waves. The guy is a real pro (and actually, he was a sponsored surfer growing up) and the real deal when it comes to teaching and surfing. My son had a blast and I highly recommend. Will continue to surf with Shane and Adventures in Paradise Oahu in the years to come.

Kimo was awesome, he accommodated me when it was my mistake. His assistants “Michael “ were great and got me riding waves right away. Felt the Aloha the whole time.

We spent a wonderful day touring the island with Shane. Convenient hotel pick up and return for this private tour. Throughout the day Shane was a thoroughly attentive & considerate host. He has an excellent knowledge of the island’s history & culture which he shared at the many stops along the way. Snorkeling was a highlight with a wide range of fish in a calm & sheltered lagoon. I highly recommend the tour with Shane.

Shane and Neil made my lifelong dream of learning to surf come true. We brought our two daughters (6 and 10) and they had a blast. We were worried that our youngest one would get a scared, but Shane made her (and us) feel so comfortable and madd the experience so fun that it didn’t become an issue at all. We are so glad that we chose this company and you will too. Shane and Neil did such an amazing job teaching us the basics and we were all riding waves within the first few attempts. We had an amazing group lesson with Shane and Captain Neil! Our entire group of 6 was able to surf almost immediately. Our guides made sure that everyone was successful. It was a beautiful experience and I hope to go back again someday!

Surfing with Shane and Neil was a blast. Prior to the meetup, communication was excellent and tips were provided on how to prepare for surfing. They provided boards based on height and weight and taught us how to surf. They were a pleasure to hang out with. It was also cool to learn about the area from true locals. I highly recommend booking this.

Shane was so accommodating and such a great teacher. My daughter and I were standing up and riding on our very first wave! Shane, passionate for surfing, teaching, and the island really shines through. 10 out of 10, would absolutely recommend.

This was an amazing tour! Shane, our tour guide was great. Very courteous, accommodating, knowledgeable, and genuinely nice guy! Timely pickup, comfortable vehicle, just the right amount of time at each location. A full day of interesting stops, with shopping, fresh local food, a great hike, and snorkeling added. Yesterday we did a Circle Island Tour and had such an amazing time. We were in a group of 7 people who quickly became our Ohana for the day. Shane our tour guide was so rich in knowledge in the language, the history, the culture and just all round great “braddah” He quickly made us all feel like family and made sure all of us were all comfortable and kept us all engaged. I’ve always liked Maui over Oahu, but after this tour and learning the history the culture and experiencing the sites, I have a new found appreciation for Oahu. We landed in Oahu and headed straight to our surfing lesson. We are a family of 5 with 3 athletic teenagers ages 18, 16 and 14. After a thorough lesson in the bay we paddled out to the catch some waves. Shane and Captain Neil are phenomenal instructors. We all felt safe and confident. We all got up on our first go. This is a great activity for an active family and we highly recommend. Our teenagers loved it and the adults alike.

We booked a couple of different activities, and this was our favorite BY FAR!! Shane and Captain Neil were AMAZING! My husband and I had a great time learning to surf and caught some good waves!! I almost backed out because I am #1, not a confident swimmer, and #2, not exactly a fit person, but Shane and Captain Neil made this experience so great. They were super knowledgeable, safe, and patient with us. They don't take on more students then they can handle so we got a one on one experience. Both instructors have so much experience you are truly in the best of hands! Seriously, book this, you won't regret it!!

Our group of friends also couples had a great time on our tour. Our tour guides Harry and Kurt were awesome. Kurt was very informative and had a great sense of humor. .He added fun to the tour.
