- V7904NMmjm0 contributionsEating, history and site-seeing all in one? HurrahI really enjoyed this tour of downtown Cincinnati. The tour is a nice combination of seeing sites, learning history, and eating, lots of eating. Our guide Dave showed us around the various areas, we saw the Reds displays around the stadium, local building murals, learned to ride the trolley, Music Hall, and Findlay Market. One thing I appreciated was getting to try several Cincinnati specific dishes: Cincinnati Chili and Goetta. There is walking on this tour but only one small hill to climb. I was indeed full at the end. Dave even took pictures of the group at various points and sent them to us. He was always interesting, kind, and full of information. I still share his story about the Scottish place that brought over Scottish soil to place under the restaurant. My friends love it. I do recommend this tour as a good way to learn about Cincinnati. As a side note the start point is near the Trolley line service which was a plus for us.Written 2 October 2024
- charitigent0 contributionsOver the Rhine Food Tour Totally Fun and InformativeWhat a fun way to get to know the city. Laura and her husband are incredibly gracious hosts. What's better: they LOVE, LOVE, LOVE their city, and they show it off with pride and fun! I learned so much about the food offerings of Cinci, as well as the history of German settlement there. Great lore, great food, and great way to spend an evening. Thank you!Written 30 September 2024

- BurleyMan8010 contributionsGreat tour to take kids!If you're headed to Cincinnati, we would recommend this tour. Its hard to get my kids interested in any type of tour or sight seeing experience unless it includes food. This was a great tour to take with kids, food was good, and the tour was excellent. Tour guide David was knowledgeable, friendly and gave great recommendations. We thought the tour was well worth it! FYI - Findlay market is closed on Monday, they still had good alternates for us on Monday but missed the market.Written 25 September 2024
- wendydenny0 contributionsFood tour in OTRGreat tour through OTR. The food was delicious and there was enough that we felt full at the end of the tour. Our guide, Jackie, was both informative and great to talk to. We also learned information about this part of Cincinnati that we did not know before.Written 24 September 2024
- B2961JXstevenm0 contributionsA wonderful semi-private tour of the Findlay MarketWhat a wonderful way to spend a Sunday morning getting a private tour of the Findlay Market. The Findlay Market is a very active and busy place, which can be a bit overwhelming. Thankfully we had an experienced tour guide, named Laura, who seemed to know everybody, and skillfully maneuvered the group through the market taking pictures along the way. Interspersing the stops with great information about the history of the market and the proprietors and vendors currently occupy the market. The market is quite large encompassing over 2 city blocks, and we got a chance to see it all. We start with the best freshly baked and buttery croissants and ended with the lightest and richest chocolate truffles. If you are a “foodie” with a notion to explore food in Cincinnati, then this is the food tour for you.Written 23 September 2024

As soon as we booked the tour, Laura texted us immediately with the details and also asked if we had any concerns or questions. She was super professional, very friendly and knowledgeable, and took us to many wonderful restaurants. As we ate, she gave us a brief history of the city and carried poster-cards from the 80s to compare with the current architecture of the city. We had a group member who was vegetarian and Laura accommodated the request. She took many pictures of our group that have now become fond memories. I highly recommend this tour- a wonderful way to see Cincinnati's beautiful architecture + understand it's history while also enjoying some lovely meals and treats! Thank you Laura for an amazing experience. My family was so happy.

My family and I just had 2 days in Cincinnati and the first was spent at Kings Island. So I really wanted to make the most of my second day. We couldn't decide between a history tour and a food tour but decided on the food. Well, as it turns out, not only did we get to taste some great food, but our guide Jackie knows so much about Cincinnati that we left feeling like we learned quite a lot about the city. I have 3 teen girls and they all said they absolutely loved the tour and found everything Jackie showed us and told us to be very very interesting. It isn't like sitting down for a history class! As we would walk/ride to the next stop, Jackie would point to a mural on a building and tell us about it or a stairway inside a museum and explain why it was curved. We also enjoyed the variety of food. Jackie would call ahead so it was ready at each place right when we got there. It was perfect to end at Findlay Market because then my family were able to explore the market when the tour ended and before we strode the streetcar back to where we parked our car.

Thanks Ann for sharing such a detailed review. Many people are surprised at how much history, art and culture is included on a food tour. The streetcar makes it easy to visit 4 different neighborhoods through downtown Cincinnati. All of our nine tours are setup to give our guests a 3 hour VIP treatment. I'm happy to hear your family enjoyed the afternoon with Jackie!

I had so much fun. My husband and I was looking for something to do and we found this. Laura was so entertaining and know her history. she was a great tour guide for us. We got to try food all over Cincy, learn about the history, see the city from a person who leaves there and see the murals. We got to see thing site that we would have missed if we were on are on touring Cincy. I would defiantly do this again.

Cold afternoon, but totally worth it. Beth was amazing. Full of history and a good sense of humor. Every place had great tastings, the history was interesting and fulfilling, and when one of the places were closed, Beth improvised on the fly, and got us something better. Great tour, would highly recommend to others.

We had such a wonderful time in spite of the rain! Our tour guide David went out of his way to keep us relatively dry and informed with fun historic facts and Cincinnati food favorites with history. All of our questions were answered in detail. David took quick assessment of the group’s special interests and quickly tailored the tour to our group above and beyond all expectations. Such a wealth of knowledge! Thank-you! Thank-you! Riverside tours.

Thanks LeeAnn for sharing on the morning Cincy Top 10 Sites & Bites.. That's a real tribute to David's professionalism and his thoughtfulness. It's easy to host a tour on a beautiful sunny day, but yesterday was not only rainy, but had streetcar delays to deal with. I'm glad you enjoyed the tour and I appreciate your review!

When my long time highschool friends and I decided on a girl's getaway weekend reunion, we decided to try a Riverside food tour in Cincinnati. We had such a fun time! Our tour guide had a wealth of knowledge about the city and balanced our tour with interesting history and delicious food venues. We tasted so much deliciousness and saw so many sights of downtown Cincy! All the food was amazing and she promised we wouldn't leave hungry and we certainly didn't! From a taste of Indian goodness deep fried, to a Scottish Pub for Bangers and Mash, to an Italian restaurant with very delicious pizza, to a warm chocolate chip cookie, to Belgium Waffles with strawberries and cream, a taste of creamsicle fudge and aged cheese, and ending our tour at the sights and sounds of enormous Findlay Market-- everything was a great time! I highly recommend this tour!

Laura was a wonderful guide!!! Good variety of foods to enjoy and plenty of time to do so! We never felt rushed while eating any of the meals! Laura takes you through many different neighborhoods to really get a feel for the city and it's culture! She gave us tons of local history, pointed out unique art and buildings while we ate, walked and rode the street car. Laura informed us that at the end of your tour you can ride the street car back to your starting point or stay in the Rhine neighborhood to shop the local stores and spend more time in the market. Great suggestion! Your then able to get back on the street car and head back to your car no trouble! Thanks to Laura our time in the city was filled with food, art, history and fun!!! I had no idea there was so much to see in Cincinnati! I would highly recommend this tour!

My daughter and I were passing through Cincinnati for the day and instead of shopping at yet another generic outlet mall, we decided to get acquainted with the city itself.
We chose the Riverside Food Tour and what a great choice it turned out to be!
We learned about Cincinnati’s past thru entertaining stories relayed through our most engaging guide! She took us thru the streets, both on foot and via the Cincy streetcar which gave my feet a nice periodic break!
The food we sampled at each of the Cincy only restaurants was delicious and just enough. All around a fantastic tour that includes the right amount of history and food to make this a winner! A great way to spend the day in Cincinnati!

Every time we go to a new city we like to start with a guided walking tour to get us oriented. But on this tour, we also enjoyed the streetcar portion. And, this is the first tour we've taken where we get to stop and eat - multiple times :) It was a great tour, well worth the money.
