About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- marciasA2431HA0 contributionsVery disappointed in this tour.I found this specific tour as we DID NOT want the mud baths, and this was supposed to be shorter and NOT include the mud baths. Not knowing the distance between downtown and the mud baths, I received a message saying that the others on our tour wanted the mud baths and we could add the price, but we ended up waiting in the van for them, then ended up in 5:00 traffic and missed an event at our hotel, as it took us over an hour to get back to our hotel, which made our tour over 5 hours, most of which was in a van.Written 7 December 2024
- Sunshine8286340 contributionsGreat Fiji escapeWe are currently staying at this resort. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from on site and bars galore. Entertainment every night, Nannie’s to look after your kids, buses and golf carts to take you where you want to go on site you can call when you need them. Rooms are clean and ours had recently been updated. Staff are friendly beyond words. Love the placeWritten 2 November 2024
- paulaxadams0 contributionsFun to do but what a shame it’s so terribly run down! The changing rooms were pretty awful. Don’t expect ANY luxury at this place. Very run down but still fun. The experience of slopping on mud was wonderful but the pool to do a first sluice off was not inviting. The water was pretty hot but even hotter in the final seperate sluice off pool. If you’re a person who is fussy about getting into what looks like an extremely muddy dam, don’t do this!Written 31 October 2024
- J7941FHpatriciaw0 contributionsGive It a Try, You'll be Glad You Did!What an amazing experience & I hate heights! Our guides Nate & BA, PHENOMENAL; they carried all our drinks & did all our amazing videos & photos while we zipped! The history of the cave was an interesting stop before our decent back down & we can't forget the ladies & the DELICIOUS lunch and the Villagers for their crafts.Written 28 October 2024
- C2593IYzoes0 contributionsNot really a tourI wouldn't really call this a tour. You have no tour guide as such. We were collected by our taxi driver who seemed confused about where we were going/what we were doing. We went off the itinerary that was listed on the booking and got to see all those sites. However, if you have your own car this truly isn't worth it. You're better off driving yourself around to see these sites as, again, there is no tour guide.Written 9 July 2024
- andrewbD5484JE0 contributionsAMAZING Zip lining experienceSuch an amazing experience! The zip lining was so much fun, and the cave was beautiful. The crew were so energetic and made it so memorable for our family. Both our kids (8 and 11) loved it. Thanks again!Written 21 June 2024
- LeetylouandLarrytoo0 contributionsVery nice driver, Terrible tourOur tour guide was a pleasant guy but the tour part consisted of comments like "Here is the Hindu temple. Would you like to go in?" The answer should be no. You are probably going to interrupt someone's prayer and there's really not much to see. Info on the sugar refinery was basic but interesting, unfortunately the guide didn't have enough info to answer questions. We never went into the market but we loved the very first village in Fiji. It was fascinating to hear how the village evolved and how the 850 people still live. Pay the extra for one of the villagers to show you around! Crafts sold are very reasonable. Vuda Marina is beautiful but don't make the mistake of going for a meal. Although we ordered 30 minutes before a bus tour showed up we got our food after. An hour and a half is too long to wait. Food wasn't terrible but not great either. Bring a picnic or just order drinks. Drinks came quickly.Written 16 April 2024
- C6237FMrebeccao0 contributionsGreat informative tourWe went on this tour today and got picked up from The Radisson. The tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. We were provided with water in the car. The temple tour was very interesting. We stopped at a souvenir shop and at a produce market that also sold a few souvenirs. Last we went to the gardens and were provided with a cold drink at the end. None of it felt rushed and we learnt so much. Thank youWritten 26 February 2024
- 509gaving0 contributionsA great experience packed full of beauty and funSo glad we booked this excursion. Better than we hoped. Our guide was brilliant, lots of interesting knowledge and good humour made for a great day out. The markets were interesting, the temple was beautiful and our guide informed us about the Hindu religion which was truly interesting. The sleeping giant mountain and the orchid gardens were so beautiful, we took too many photos. The walk through the gardens to the top of the hill was so humid we look liked we'd been swimming, but soooo worth it. The mudbaths and thermal pools were the perfect way to finish off. Glad we were taken to the ones run by locals. If you're wondering whether its worth it, I can assure you that you willl not be disappointed!. But, you may be a bit hungry at the end. Maybe take some cash and buy some local fruit at the market to keep you goingWritten 4 February 2024
- Goma20130 contributionsA lot to see in one dayFun day seeing the Garden of the Sleeping Giant, Hindu Temple, the Farmer’s Market and the Mud Pool. Our guide was kind, informative and flexible, allowing us extra time to get a massageWritten 28 December 2023
- Justin F0 contributionsFelt like we did 4 days of stuff all in a half day day tour, but we never felt rushed!Rachelli and driver were wonderful. Friendly and informative and safe. The temple tour was wonderful. The market was great, and we had time to eat, shop, take pics, etc. The gardens were absolutely stunning - a highlight for me. The guide was so informative and kind, and the walk through was a dream. The mud baths were delightful and fun and everyone had a blast. By the end of the tour, everyone in our car was like old friends. Vinaka to rachelli and driver for a wonderful day!!Written 19 September 2023
- USFFrank0 contributionsPerfect daytime tour. Ask for AviI once saw an ad that said that the people of Fiji are born into happiness. That statement couldn't be truer. Our driver, Avi was excellent. While driving us to the village he gave us a nice history lesson of the people of Fiji and told us some great stories of his Indo-Fijian family including how they arrived here, what they do, and of their customs and traditions. The waterfall is a must do. It could be a bit tricky to get there, but the village guides will take care of you, and once you get to the falls, you'll see it was worth it. Oh yea, don't forget the Kava.Written 31 August 2023
- Gideonrd0 contributionsGreat cultural visit! We did this tour as a family with a young child. Our guide Avi was great! He was knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. He even waited for us when we were 30 minutes late at our hotel pick up. We were the only ones on the tour so it felt like a private tour. The pottery village was a great insight into traditional life. Be aware that you are expected to make purchases to support the village. The sand dunes were beautiful and scenic. The school visit was fun and the kids full of energy. The local market was a little busy and a few vendors hassled us, so be prepared to say no. Lunch was great. It was at an Olive Tree franchise restaurant. It was hygienic, affordable and tasty. Overall, 5 stars!Written 26 July 2023
- Getaway671077974960 contributionsSaving the best for last! This was the last adventure we did during our stay and as the saying goes "they saved the best till last". 16 zip lines was by far the best value for money adventure experience. The guides were amazing. Highly competent and very good at managing the group and the variances in confidence within the group, while ensuring everyone enjoyed themselves. Certainly, going the extra mile. As with other reviews, we definitely recommend doing this activity in the morning before it heats up! Another highlight for us was learning that our money goes directly to the village who operate the zip lines.Written 18 June 2023

Avi picked up from our hotel promptly on time (not Fiji time), and it turned out it was just us that day, so we had a private tour! He was super informative and gave us a lot of insight into Fijian culture and history. The temple was great, and the gardens were beautiful. Tip: Bring insect repellent for the Sleeping Giant Garden walk! All in all, it was a lovely morning, and we learned a lot. Thanks, Avi!

We enjoyed visiting the temple as well as strolling through the gardens at sleeping giant gardens. The farmer’s market was nice but felt awkward because there wasn’t much other than raw produce to buy.

I would like to take this tour alone while my boyfriend enjoys spa day. I do not have the option to book for 1 person. Only 2+. Any help here? I would like to book, but do not want to be charged for 2 people.

We are going to be in Fiji in early Feb for our 20th anniversary in Nadi. Is this a tour that you can basically do on your own, as I notice that the Temple, the vegetable markets and the handicraft markets are all in town, or do you really need to take a tour to accomplish it all. How far away is it to the Sleeping Giant and Raymond Burr’s orchids. Are these sights available by local transit and readily accessible on your own. We like to do things independently unless a tour is really necessary to accomplish our sightseeing goals, such as seeing the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland or Loch Lomond and Stirling Castle in Scotland, vs the islands of Venice, which can be easily seen by vapororato or the markets and temples of Hong King which can easily be done on foot.

There is a public bus which only goes on the main road, which is about a 2 kilometer walk into the Garden of the Sleeping Giant ( which is where the orchids are). If you want to tour independently, then I would recommend hiring a taxi for the day and visit the Viseisei village and around Lautoka as well. Try to negotiate a good price with the driver first. Get them to pick you up and drop you off again.
Hope this helps. Enjoy the gardens!
