Cardrona Valley Mountain Quad Experience from Wanaka
From US$173.15
Overview
Enjoy high-octane thrills in the New Zealand wilderness on this 2-hour Cardrona Valley quad bike experience from Wanaka. Following a comprehensive safety briefing, pull on your helmet and hop onto your 350cc quad bike. Master the controls in safety, then spin off into the mountains of the mighty Cardrona Valley with your guide. Navigate winding dirt tracks through rolling alpine farmland where Merino sheep and cattle graze. Bounce and roll over the rugged terrain, and enjoy panoramic views over the wilds of New Zealand’s South Island.
What to Expect
After helmet fitting and making sure riders are sufficiently equipped for the mountains, a thorough pre-ride safety talk and instruction on quad bike operation is undertaken. Certain requirements and expectations from the riders are established and the tour departs up the mountain with the very experienced guide leading the way.
The first part of the ascent travels through private farm land where Merino sheep and cattle may be seen, the terrain gives way to a more rugged rock & tussock alpine environment as the tour climbs higher, stops are made frequently for photo opportunities and information about the farming, history and scenery. In winter most tours are riding through the snow as the quads reach the upper mountain levels!

Best Views on the South Island

My wife and I (in our 60's, but in good shape) and our 20 yo son went on the Quad (= ATV) experience with this outfit on Dec 2. It was outstanding. We booked at the last minute, calling around 11:30 am for the 1:00...More

Very nice quad ride with amazing views!

Although I was the only person for that time to go, I could do the tour. It was a really nice ride! As the guide sees, you’re doing well on the quad, you can also go faster. Very cool!

Great Tour

The tour is more about the views and scenery than it is about extreme motor performance. Our guide ran us as far as the snow would allow and then we went back down and hit a dirt road where we could go fast. Flowers, rivers,...More

Cardrona Quads is about 300 metres down the road from the Cardrona Hotel/Pub. There are 2 ways from QT to Wanaka you need to take the one over the Crown range ( if the road is open) It’s prettier and quicker....Cardrona... More
