About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- mary1720180 contributionsFriendly staff at the Hotel Sacher WienWhen my friends and I arrived at the Sacher restaurant for breakfast and to have some of their famous chocolate torte, the hostess said we didn't have a reservation. I explained that our hotel had called the night before for us, and again this morning to confirm our reservation. She wouldn't seat us. We explained our situation to the doorman standing nearby. He was friendly and had us come inside the lobby of the hotel he worked for to get out of the snow and to warm up, which was Hotel Sacher Wien. He had us repeat our situation to the 2 men at the front desk. The 3 then spoke in German, then apologized to us, saying that is not how they treat customers. The doorman then happily walked us back to the restaurant, said something in German to the hostess and we were seated immediately. Afterwards we.returned to thank everyone. Mind you, we were not staying at the hotel, yet Thomas Knappe, the head concierge, and Miki Rajcic were so helpful, friendly and cheerful to us anyway. They turned a nightmare start to our final day in Vienna into a memorable one of kindness. Thank you to the staff of the Hotel Sacher Wien!Written 16 February 2024
