    What to Expect
Visit: Geiranger Skywalk - Dalsnibba, Geiranger, Stranda 6216 Norway

    The toll road Nibbevegen

To reach Dalsnibba, follow the Nibbevegen road, one of the most ambitious road-building projects ever seen in Norway. The ticket is for passing the toll station which is located 16 km from the centre of Geiranger. The toll station is staffed during the day, but the road is accessible at all hours a day. Scan the downloaded ticket in the toll station and the gate will open. The road is considered one of the foremost symbols of tourism in Geiranger, and the trip up to Dalsnibba is an experience at any point in the summer season. The road is asphalted and there are plenty of bus pull-ins.

    Geiranger Skywalk - Dalsnibba

Walking out on to the platform, Geiranger Skywalk, and looking through the ingenious floor surface and glass guard rail is a truly magical experience! The sensation of the wind coming up through the floor surface almost makes you feel you’re walking on the clouds though of course you are perfectly safe! With a clear drop of approx. 500 m beneath your feet, you can enjoy magnificent views of Geiranger and the fjord below, as well as across to the mountains and Blåbreen glacier.

    The restored path

While working on the platform, new parking areas were built and the old path restored. Why not park your car in the bottom parking area and follow the 300–400 m path up to Geiranger Skywalk? The path is an experience in itself – don’t miss the opportunity to admire the sterling work of the Nepalese Sherpa who restored it. Perhaps you’ll spot a few surprises along the way too!

    The Dalsnibba Shop

Want to play in the snow but left your mittens at home? Need to grab a bite to eat and something to drink, or perhaps find a nice souvenir of your trip? Visit the service building at the top of Dalsnibba! The shop sells a range of unique Geiranger Skywalk-products, including clothing, postcards and other souvenirs. We also offer locally sourced products such as juices and jams from Valldal safteri – juicery – as well as a good selection of Geiranger chocolate. We also have a range of Norwegian produced products, including mugs and different kitchen objects.

    The Kiosk Wagon

During the high season, Mid-June to Mid-August, you can buy waffles and hotdogs in our kiosk wagon outside. We also sell souvenirs, clothing and other kiosk products here.

    Facilities

    Toilets:

We have toilets both inside the shop, and outside behind the shop. The toilets inside is only available during the shop's opening hours. The toilets outside is available all the time.

    Free Wifi:

We offer free Wifi on Dalsnibba. You can easily log on to our network and post pictures from Dalsnibba. Please note that it could be a little slow if many people use the network at the same time.

We were just driving on the road to Geiranger when we saw this tollroad. We were a little wary about spending £13 (UK) to drive on it but are so glad we did. The viewpoint at the top is extremely well constructed and the views are just amazing. It was the end of June but there

We visited here on a very misty day and drove to the top in a cloud but as if by magic the clouds blew away and we got our view briefly I suspect that it is normally misty up there and the road is closed for 7 months of the year. The skywalk is really scary if you look down as

We made the trip up to the skywalk and could not see a thing owing to the fog and low hanging clouds. I imagine that it is a whole other experience in good weather. We were not the only ones there on this particular day. There were a whole load of people at the skywalk who also

This place is beyond Geiranger to the top of highest point. It cost NOK150 for normal car to pass this route to the peak. It would took less than 1 hour to drive there without stop from city center. Parking is free of charge but it is now under construction and toilet is the
