      Relaxed Easy Cycling
The guide was so happy, informative about the village, native plants and spotting wildlife. The bikes were in good order and well maintained with comfortable seats. It was basically a flat area and we were on very quiet tracks and roads. A very pleasant experience. I would definitely recommend.

      Behind the scenes in Galle
An informative cycling tour of the Galle area, stopping to see wildlife and village activities eg fishing, making rope and weaving. Coconut drink and snacks at a roadside stall to finish it off. Bikes had no gears, but path was flat, so not a problem.

A great tour for anyone!! Don’t miss out on it
If you are in the area and don’t take this tour, I promise you - you are missing out! This was a great tour, peaceful, through rural areas and seeing local wildlife and local trades at work. Our guide, Chatu, spoke excellent English and spotted all sorts of animals on the way including monkeys, fruit bats, water monitor lizards (in and out of the water) a chameleon (!), and all sort of birds including a kingfisher. The route was easy enough - mostly flat which was good because I haven’t been on a push bike for a while! We stopped at a coconut rope making factory - all old machinery and everything done by hand (pretty dangerous for the workers, but very interesting). We also went to a family run hand loom factory where they are weaving natural cottons using natural dyes to make some really lovely materials. It rained cats and dogs at one point, but that didn’t stop us enjoying it and we soon dried out (us Brits are used to it!). We also stopped off for fresh coconut water and bananas at a stall and the owner had homemade cakes which she gave us - also delicious. Further on we had spicy savouries - a bit like Cornish pasties or samosas. Chatu took photos and videos as we went along which he sent to us at the end, which meant we could just enjoy the ride. I thoroughly recommend this tour, so if you are staying locally for the surfing and water sports and the waves aren’t being kind to you - go on this tour for something different - you won’t be disappointed.

      Solo cycle tour
I arrived to find I was the only one on the tour. Enjoyed the cycle around the lagoon and guide did a good job pointing out various local plants and wildlife.

Chameera is an absolute gentleman and excellent guide. Highly recommended
Booked directly rather than through trip advisor - why pay their commission! $40 for push bikes or $70 for very advanced e-bikes which were more like scooters. My wife was nervous enough about the traffic so elected for push bikes - which were perfectly adequate if a little old - didn’t matter. Chameera looked after us so well ensuring we were safe in the traffic - do need to negotiate 4.5k to the fort but it’s fine and safe with much on pavement or cycle zone. Fisherman interesting to see as was old port - sadly torrential rain cut tour short - and not helped by being late due to uber driver getting lost !! Chameera so thoughtful be even messaged to ask if we had got back to the hotel safely. Thank you

A fascinating insight to life in the village
This is the 3rd time we’ve done this trip going back at least 10 years. We are now 81 and 74 respectively and found the tour perfectly manageable. We were not hurried and our guides were super knowledgeable about the flora , fauna and of course the culture. We smelt cinnamon and jasmine and curry leaves to name a few . We got to see a balsa tree from which our model aeroplane kits are constructed . We saw all the exotic fruit trees like papaya and mango ( sadly not in fruit until later in the year! ) We visited a coconut mill and watched the coir rope being made. Next we visited a textile factory and watched the yarn being dyed and spun. There was absolutely NO pressure anywhere to purchase anything. It was a really interesting trip and we heartily recommend it to anyone, whatever their age if they can ride a bicycle! Thank you for all the information. We learned a lot.

A magical experience in the Unawatuna mangroves
A truly magical experience. We were collected at 6 am and driven to the lagoon where we boarded a canoe. We were in two canoes which we helped to paddle and had our own guide with us. We silently watched the sunrise, observed Jurassic Park like water monitors, saw eagles, bee eaters, egrets and cormorants. We glided through tunnels in the mangrove with such knowledgeable guides . This is a trip to remember forever. Thank you for making it so special and for the king coconut drinks too!

Recommend for a half day tour.
Nice ways to see around local area. Could be hard in rainy day since part of the road are dirt trail. But in general it’s interesting and fun. Not a hard biking too.

A+ mix of fort Galle and modern Galle
Bike tour is thorough, fun, insightful, comprehensive, varied. Good mix of historical, and contemporary stops. Never would I have known to go on my own to most of the places we went (and it would have been my loss!)

      Fun bike tour of Unawatuna
Lovely bike tour, highly recommend! It was a super fun activity to break up beach days. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable. We got to visit a coconut mill and handloom factory which were both very cool. The bikes were decent and helmets were good. The route was not too strenuous, we had a lot of fun. I recommend wearing sunscreen and bug spray and bringing sunglasses and a water bottle.

Learned a lot about the area. the guide knew many people and was very helpfull. The coconut machines were very interesting for me as a mechanical engineer. Bikes were good for tall people. 1.90m

Lovely bike ride, off the beaten track, so got to see Sri Lankan life outside tourist areas. The ride was meant to be one hour, but ended up being double that, as we were a group of 9, with two children that were 5 years old and the kids couldn’t pedal that fast. However, the track was pretty flat and there wasn’t any part of the path they couldn’t manage. The two guides were so friendly, helpful and went out of their way to make sure we were all safe and comfortable. We all enjoyed it and it was a nice change of scenery from the beach and resort.
