This trip mainly consists of trailing round Benidorm picking up passengers and then a short visit to a factory to encourage you to spend money in the shop then the guide suggests you tip the driver for doing his job.

Don’t bother wasting your money. This trip should have been 5 hours... we where back in Benidorm in 3 and half. On our way the coach went all the way through the villages which took longer. The market wasn’t up to much have been to better. Only a couple of leather stalls. Mostly food.
The Victor chocolate factor was rubbish. The museum was shut. We where taken upstairs, along a balcony which looked over the warehouse then we watched a 6 minute film about the chocolate factory. And then straight into the shop. We were given a few pieces of chocolate and all encourage to buy. Back onto coach and back to Benidorm.

Find it hard to believe that the tour guide didn't know that the factory is shut for 2weeks around Christmas !! We were told as we have 3 children that they could watch the chocolate being made when we booked this costing us 81euro for a bus ride into a quiet part of Benidorm! Market being like paddys market in Glasgow with loads of beggers asking for money outside ! The Chocolate factory is free so really u pay for the bus journey there and bk cheaper getting a taxi really !! Really disappointed in this service!! Wer quiet easy pleased and don't complain at the best of times but wouldn't recommend this especially with children

Where do I start, Katy the guide was very friendly and very informative en route to the "factory tour" we paid €15 per head.
On arrival we were given free time to explore the market that was run of the mill and given nearly every other day you can find a market somewhere.
Turns out the Chocolate factory trip is free, although only allows 50 people in at a time.
We watched a video showing us a brief introduction on what we would see in the factory, from grinding the cocoa bean, to liquid then into moulds, then wrapping and end product.
The little Spanish lady then informs us that the factory is not operating due to the time of year.
I simply cannot believe Roundtowntravel were not informed the factory was not operating as would have had to phone in advance to confirm numbers arriving on an organised trip, I feel either an offer of part refund or at least a complimentary bar of chocolate would have prevented writing a negative review, I do believe they kept quiet as they would not have made over €375 ! had we known it was shut.
If we had taken a local bus, and seen how the other half lived and incorporated a free visit to the factory it would have cost €6 each

Hi there, first of all thank you for reviewing your trip. Sorry that the trip wasn't what you were hoping for. We know that the factory isn't always in production when we visit and as per our advertising material, we make no guarantees to our customers that it will be. We're upfront and transparent about this as we want our customers to know exactly what they're booking. You're absolutely right, you could have made your own way there on public transport, and it would have cost you less - however our customers choose to come with us for many different reasons, not just the cost. For example, our English-speaking guides are on hand through the trip to help out with anything and everything, we pick-up at the hotels so our customers don't need to worry about how to find the bus station / train station, we arrange for the factory tour to be in English.. if these things aren't important to you then I wonder why you didn't just make your own way there on the bus or train in the first place (although the factory still wouldn't have been in production). The review we received prior to yours was from a customer who was on the same trip as you on the same date, and she rated us 5 stars. We aim for 100% of our customers to be happy with their excursion, but sadly, every so often, somebody wants something for free and if they don't get it, they feel the need to try to cause us harm with a negative review. You paid 15€ for your trip. Everything was exactly as advertised. You were picked up on time from opposite your hotel in a modern, comfortable bus, your guide was (in your own words) very friendly and very informative, you had the full tour of the factory, including free chocolate tasting, free time at the market before heading back to your hotel in time for lunch. We think this is excellent value for money and I'm afraid to say we won't be giving you a partial refund or anything for free.

We had a great time , not too far away on the coach .
We tasted the free wine on offer & there famous Almond cake we got this from a quaint deli shop & to take home .
We had a walk throu the market and then we sat outside a coffee shop on the main high street for coffee & lemon cake was delicious .
Half a day is good for this trip and you actually get 3 hours which is plenty of time as there not a lot you can do apart from the market , wine tasting and looking around a few shops .
But glad we did it we really enjoyed it .

This trip was ok I wouldn’t rave about but I’m glad I experienced it. The coach trip down was good we visited the markets first and had time to explore before meeting up to go to the chocolate factory. Markets was only a small local market so was looked around that in 5 minutes we then had 1 hour and 15 minutes to use up before meeting all the others. The chocolate factory was ok the tour didn’t seem to last long and I did find it a bit boring the best bit is you get to try free chocolate and it is really good chocolate we bought 3 bars!. If your really into your chocolate you will love it.

Hi Sarah - thank you for joining us on our Choc & Shop excursion to Villajoyosa - and thank you also for taking the time to review your morning out with us. Our customers' feedback is important to us and we always pay very careful attention to what our customers say about our trips. Choc & Shop is a brand new excursion for us this year and it could be that we need to make a tweak or two to ensure that our customers have an excellent experience with us. We’d love to know what you would change about this trip and what we could have done to have received a 5-star rating from you. Please let us know by emailing excursions@roundtowntravel.com. Thank you once again and we hope to see you back on board one of our trips in the future. Kind regards, Darren
