About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- F9881YOnickw0 contributionsWow!!!! IncredibleWhat an experience!!! Highlight of our time in New Zealand so far. The helicopter ride with mark was fantastic and the plane ride back with Maurice just as wonderful. You just have to do thisWritten 11 January 2025
- letitiac20250 contributionsBucket list experienceAmazing experience. The ski plane and helicopter combo was fantastic. Dont hesitate! Thanks to our guides Andrew and Angus.Written 7 January 2025
- Z1520QBtonyl0 contributionsNot all passengers has the same viewThis helicopter tour accommodates six passengers in a two-row configuration, with the pilot in the front left. While the pilot expertly hovered at each point of interest to allow for photos, the viewing experience was highly uneven. Passengers seated in the front row or the left-most seat enjoyed spectacular, unobstructed views. Unfortunately, those seated elsewhere had to contend with obstructed views, looking over the shoulders of other passengers. The helicopter was not rotated to offer all passengers a direct view of each scene, which significantly diminished the experience for those not in the prime seats. This lack of consideration for all passengers' viewing angles greatly reduced the value of the tour.Written 6 January 2025
- 469abhilashj0 contributionsThe best. Period.Me and my partner took a deep breath, mustered all our courage, and YES—we conquered the 13,000-foot jump! 🎉🎉 Sure, we had our sights on 16K, but hey, the weather had other plans. 🌧️ No biggie though, because the crew? ABSOLUTE LEGENDS! 🙌 They broke everything down so perfectly, over and over, that by the time we jumped, it felt like second nature (well, almost 😉). And let me tell you, if you’re in NZ and dreaming of a skydive, THIS is the place to do it. 🌏✨ The views of Mt. Cook? Beyond epic. Go for it—you won’t regret it! 🪂💥Written 4 January 2025
- Daniel F0 contributionsBest birthday gift idea!My wife’s birthday fell over her honeymoon and I surprised her (a day before so she knew how to prepare) with skydiving. It was both of our first times and it was a blast!! They had to adjust our height due to clouds, but they reimbursed us for the height we actually fell from. I want to give our guides specific credit, but I can’t recall their names. They were both great! The video was definitely worth it.Written 28 December 2024
- Kiattichai R0 contributionsHelicopter and Ski Plane flights at Mount CookWe booked the flight for 26th Dec but the weather was not good so they provided an option to reschedule our flight to 27th, which is ok for us. Luckily, the weather on 27th is nice and sunny. Once we got there, we checked-in with a friendly staff and waited for a while before being brought to an area for security briefing and then moved to outside waiting for boarding. We got up to the Tasman Glacier by a helicopter and came back down by a ski plane. Our flight include a total of 9 passengers, 3 are us and the other 6 are very nice people from Hong Kong. We stayed up there for 10-15 mins. Very pleasant experience and get to see the view that hiking tracks won’t get you there.Written 26 December 2024
- A99_hamzah0 contributionsMust do, fantastic experienceUnbelievable experience, you get to see so much more of the glacier and the mountains in the summer time. Everything was on time and ran smoothly.Written 20 December 2024
- evelync7160 contributionsBAD service! Be prepared to sit separatelyThis review is for Mount cook ski planes and helicopters by Infinite. It seems I am unable to send a review of them. This clearly shows their lack of service to block me? My family of 4 booked the 45min flight yesterday with our hotel for 430pm flight today. We were told to be picked up at 345pm at hotel lobby. We arrived early and was picked up punctually. Everything went downhill thereafter. We arrived at Mount cook airport and was told my the staff we would be split by 3+1 on another flight. This was not told to us beforehand. The staff blamed us for being the last to arrive but we were picked by the staff at the time stated by them. When we explained this was our first flight together as a family, they insisted that we will be spilt only on the flight but at the glaciers we will be together. I wonder who takes a flight separately when paid for together. So staff decided to ask another family if they will be willing to be spilt. I don’t blame another family for their unwillingness given that as a family, everyone will love to fly together. The fact that they nonchalantly blamed us for being last to arrive, and then said they “understand “ but the situation made it just too bad for us? If we were told beforehand, we would not bookWritten 29 November 2024

- Colleen V0 contributionsBucket List Helicopter Tour over Mount Cook and the GlaciersBucket list activity for sure on the incredible helicopter tour over the glaciers and Mount Cook! Between the wonderful views during the helicopter ride, to the magnificence all around when we landed on the Tasman Glacier, I was in awe of the sheer splendor before me. It was the perfect group size (8), and Roger (our pilot) did a masterful job of flying the craft, minimizing rocking and buffeting where he could, along with providing fabulous commentary on what we were seeing. He also pointed out the Fox and Franz Josef Glaciers, although we couldn’t see them given the low cloud cover. All in all, an incredible experience! I highly recommend this!Written 28 September 2024
- 465vickeyb0 contributionsWhen are we going again?A once in a lifetime occasion ... not if I can help it! I loved it. Ben, the pilot, was caring & considerate. His commentary was helpful, he put us helicopter first timers at ease by his confident & professional ways. The views were so much better, as we're the photos, than all the shots taken along the roadside to get to Aoraki. He also made sure we all got a window seat either on the way up or on the way back. Some good vibes going on. Thank you.Written 16 September 2024
- 747rohith0 contributionsAlpine flyReally worth the money if ur going to mount cook ,the pilots and the team are very friendly but very strict on protocol and safety felt very safe flying with themWritten 10 September 2024
- shaival10 contributionsAmazing! Extremely Safe! And above all extremely knowledgeable pilot!!! Would do the Grand Cirle all over againThe reception was really amazing and courteous. They explained everything extremely well. The pilot made us feel extremely safe and comfortable. The anxiety of getting on a helicopter was all gone before we boarded. Ben, our pilot was extra courteous and made us feel extremely safe throughout. He was also very knowledgeable about the wntire region and its history. Kudos!!!Written 16 July 2024

I was very pleased with how we was dealt with as unfortunately whilst we were at Mt Cook, we didnt have the best weather. On the day of our flight we were due to fly at 8.30 which unfortunately got cancelled, we managed to reschedule for later that day again that got cancelled. I was determined not to give up and the lady on the desk managed to get us booked on another one at 3.30pm. I felt the customer service recieved by the lady was great, they went above and beyond to get us on a flight that day, which we did end up getting on at 3.30pm. The flight was fantastic and well worth the money. The views were incredible and our pilot had great knowledge of the area too.

This is the best adventure I’ve had in a very long time. If you want breath taking views, and the time of your life then I recommend this company for the 45min scenic flight and landing on top of a glacier.
Our pilot Andrew had over 17 years experience including rescue helicopters overseas and it’s the pilots knowledge and commentary of the surrounds that makes the differences.
The company is older than the Governments Department of Conservation and hold more permits to land than any other helicopter company
. Even little things like turning the engine off on the glacier to allow you to listen to the silence (which costs the company more in fuel than it does to leave them on) however they are massive into customer experience. I highly recommend doing this

We had an amazing experience flying over Aoraki/Mount Cook. The helicopter pilot Mark did a great job of pointing out interesting features and telling us stories. We were lucky that the weather was so clear. Beautiful place and an overall fabulous experience.

Wow! What an amazing trip. We were so lucky to have an amazing pilot. He kept the helicopter very steady the whole trip, (even though the wind was picking up). The views were incredible, even from the middle back seat. Sadly, (actually it worked out in our favour), it was too windy too land on the Tasman Glacier, so we ended up going all the way up and over the tops, finally landing on the Murchison Glacier. What an incredible experience this was! Unbelievable atmosphere! On the way back our wonderful pilot spotted a tahr and made sure we all saw it. Hugely professional company. Very safety conscious. Lovely people. Thoroughly recommend flying with this company.

Absolutely once in a lifetime incredible experience. We were so lucky to have a crystal clear blue sky winter day. The team were so friendly and welcoming and our pilot Andrew was so professional, friendly and very experienced.
We flew up to the Tasman Glacier for a landing, absolutely breathtaking, what fascinated me the most was the sound of the glacier moving. Very cool.
Then flying right up the side of Mt Cook was extra special.
Thanks for a great experience, I've already told so many friends and family!

We have travelled to Mt Cook for the weekend to celebrate my husband's birthday and at midday decided to try our luck and see if we could get an afternoon flight. The staff were amazing and secured us a flight that was absolutely phenomenal and we had the best experience ever. Thank you so very much to the fabulous staff a pilot for making our day epic. Hopefully we will see you again one day.
We cannot recommend these guys highly enough!

Land on top of the Tasman Glacier and take a glacier walk. The ice is blue and beautiful.
I wear crampons, so I feel safe.
Be careful not to fall into cracks or holes, and explore the holes that are in season.
The ice is cold, but perhaps because of its strong reflection, it's not that cold when the sun is out.
I'm glad we were blessed with just the right weather.
The view from the helicopter was also amazing. I was surprised that the helicopter flew more smoothly than I expected.

Hi there
Yes, its only 6kms from where you are staying. The departure point is Mount Cook Airport. If the weather behaves, you will have memories for life.
Take care

WE are going to be in Mot Cook village arriving on the 4th and leaving on the 5th December. If we book the afternoon flight and the weather is miserable, can we then move it to the next day? If you want to get out at the top of Mount Cook what is the best trip? What is the advantage or reason for the Combi tour with the snow plane? We have visited the Fox and St. Joseph glacier 10 years ago and did a walk with crampons on the glacier. Do all flight go to the glaciers as well? If the flight is 45 min. does that include the stop on the top of Mt. Cook as well? Cheers,
Anke
