hi there is value in booking this service however it is not obvious where to find your driver once you are at the Fiumicino airport. the traveller needs to go to a kiosk located inside the airport (all airport transfers go through this kiosk) in order to register your name with the representative - he or she will then assign you to the shuttle driver. I spent 45 minutes looking for my shuttle bus only after asking several tour operators did I know to go to the kiosk window for info.

Never having been before and not Italian speakers, we found the Rome airport challenging. Finding the place to catch the shuttle made it more difficult. At a cost of three times more than taking the train, in retrospect, the train may have been easier and less stressful - but who really knows? We'd have had to figure out how to buy train tickets...

The Trip Advisor advert states "The driver will wait for no more than 30mins after flight landing" What a load of rubbish,there is no mention that the driver would wait until all of his pick ups flights had landed and that we would leave the airport nearly 3hrs after our flight landed. Thus incurring a financial penalty from our hotel,The Da Vinci, for late arrival. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. Get a private car or taxi,it will be more expensive,but cause you less hassle.

We got off the airport exit and found our driver waiting with a placard with our name immediately. He was friendly and professional even though he speaks Little English, we communicate with him with no problem. I will used the service again, very satisfied.

Excellent service from Rome Airport to hotel
Upon arrival met Viator agent. It was only a few minutes to locate the desk from the baggage claim area. Had to wait for the rest of the party to arrive about 25 minutes. But was escorted to shuttle location by the driver and we made it to our hotels in record time!

Unfortunately, Gray Line was very busy with arrivals at the airport and I had to wait about an hour for a driver. Not fun after a 10 hour flight. Took another 2 hours to be dropped off at my hotel, due to other drop-offs. I should have just paid the extra for a cab.

I booked through an Expedia 'expert' and when I got to FCO, Gray Line had no one there to pick me up - I had all of my reservation details presented to them. There was a really rude lady who just kept telling me to wait while she arranged transfers for a bunch of other passengers. But there was no transfer for me. Eventually she just said you'll have to find your own way to your hotel, I have no transfer for you.

Coming from overseas, the airport was a bit overwhelming with all the activity. So I had a hard time seeing the sign to find my transport. Once I found her, she was very polite. My only criticism is having to wait one hour for her to arrange a driver ti transport my group. Then instead of going out the door 10 feet away, we walked all thru the airport to a parking lot to the van. I was not expecting this. If I had to do again, I would hire a private driver they seemed to deliver better service from what I observed.

Beware of doing business with GRAYLINE. They refused to give me a refund even though they didn’t provide the transfer I paid for. I notified them as soon as possible that my connection flight was delayed, thus we missed our flight to FCO. They said they were not able to send another vehicle as there was non avail although we were able to catch the next flight (3hrs later). They said I didn’t cancel within the 24 hrs. This was impossible to predict that our flight will be delayed so how could I have given them 24 hours? I didn’t cancel the service! I notified them as soon as I found out our flight will be late! This company is heartless and ruthless! Do not trust them with your business!

Unfortunately our policy for transfers is quite strict because we don't own the vehicles, but we contract them from another company. Drivers can usually wait for half an hour after the scheduled arrival time, after which time they leave because they have an agenda to follow and other clients to pick. That said, we quickly liaised with our Booking Department with regards to your case, and we were told that a transfer out was actually offered to you as an alternaitve. But let us investigate your issue further so we can get back to you with more certain information and a solution.
