- SusanO19810 contributionsWhales (a baby one too!) Dolphins, Turtle, a great experience!Found this experience at the dock, where we met a lovely lady who was very helpful. We booked our experience for the next day. We were not to be disappointed, it was a lovely experience from start to finish. Staff extremely helpful and kind, and approachable. The boat was lovely and enough space for everyone, they do not overfill the boat so it was very comfortable. Really enjoyed the trip, we saw whales (and a baby one!), dolphins and a turtle! We also got out to swim which was so nice! Everything was very professionally done and safe, we really enjoyed our experience as a family. Would highly recommend if your in Tenerife!Written 17 October 2024
- katybP767NP0 contributionsWonderful..again.We have been on the Travelin’ lady twice now. Once in October 2019 and then again recently August 2024. Both times we have LOVED it. Angie M is wonderful….so friendly to chat and book with. Spoke to the kids and explained to them what the boat is like and what we hope to see. She was patient and polite to my daughter who had loads of questions! The crew on board were brilliant!! They are all very enthusiastic about what we saw and very environmentally friendly in regards to distance to the whales and dolphins, noise etc. They were very informative and even ensured my daughter could see amongst the adults so she didn’t miss out. Back in October we didn’t swim but they let my son sit and help steer the boat and spoke with him about the controls etc. when we went recently my daughter wanted to jump off to swim but was abit cautious…the staff were really friendly and reassured her about it and cheered her on when she jumped! When we got back on land Angie shouted over to us to see if we enjoyed it and asked my daughter about what she saw! Overall a great experience and will 100% be using them again when we come back!Written 2 September 2024
- D6071UXsebastianoc0 contributionsDon’t try to doThe boat was not a tour, it was just bad navigation. A lot of people on the boat was felt bad for the waves. We tried a lot of boats but this was the worst..Written 30 August 2024
- alishac5050 contributionsBad customer serviceDue to unforeseen circumstances we could not attend are trip so we tried to call them, with no avail 8 calls no answer when they did finally answer was told she was not ment to answer the phone and we needed to call another number. which there was no other number we could find and was told she would call us back and we never received a call back.As a family of 5 and paying £70 for one trip was a lot for us we were very disappointed with the over all customer service and would not recommend this company at all.Written 23 August 2024

- ElaineY_120 contributionsHorrendousWorst experience of my life , the weather was terrible , this should have been cancelled but no , they went out and offered another trip but no refund , thought the boat was going to overturn , rocked back and forward for two hoursWritten 7 March 2024
- Laura May O0 contributionsUnderwhelmingBooked onto the 3pm cruise. The boat left at 2.55pm so we had to wait until 5pm for the next journey. We didn’t see any whales or dolphins unfortunately. The trip seems to have been cut short by about 45 minutes. There was no opportunity to swim in the sea. I got some seasickness tablets from the local pharmacy to preempt any nausea. Worked a treat so definitely reccommend those if you are seasick. The crew were lovely and friendly. We didn’t catch any commentary though, not sure if this was said in Spanish. A disappointing trip in all honesty but I suppose you can’t control natureWritten 16 January 2024

Just got off the travelinlady 2hr cruise it was a fantastic experience. We saw a school of dolphins there must have been at least 20 👍 they were jumping out of the water following the boat they were magnificent. Then we sailed a little further and saw a pod of pilot whales 😁 the crew were very friendly and seemed to know where to look for dolphins and pilot whales and were giving us information about the mammals. We then had a short stop for a swim. If you want a cruise that was one of the cheapest around go to Angie a British lady at kiosk 1 on Los Cristianos she was very friendly and very helpful on the area and you've got to see snowie her beautiful Bichon/poodle 😍 well worth every penny.

We booked the 3pm trip through a third party excursion company in advance costing £68.92 for two adults and two children. It was my first time on a boat so I was unsure what to expect and I have to admit the rockiness did take a bit of time to get used to, I really wasn't enjoying it for the first 10 minutes or so but the staff were really friendly and the guide informed me you didn't feel the waves as much on the bottom deck (she was absolutely right).
We ended up seeing a pod of pilot whales including a calf which was lovely to see as well as quite a few dolphins who ended up coming quite close to the boat. The kids absolutely loved it and ended up falling asleep for the last half an hour or so (apparently the waves had a different effect on them).
We ended up having a really nice few hours and the length of the trip was perfect for us first timers with small children. We did have a swim stop too which wasn't something we took advantage of but it made for some nice photo opportunities.
The boat was quite small and not over crowded so there was plenty of space to move around and everyone got a good view of the wildlife we saw. Light refreshments are served on board and there were toilets too.
My only criticism would be that they allow smoking on board. So on our trip at one point there were five lads all smoking a cigarette together which on a boat this small, even out in the sea, didn't smell or feel particularly good! But that is obviously luck of the draw whether or not you board with a bunch of smokers.
All in all, well worth the money and I would absolutely do it again if visiting Tenerife again.

Had the most wonderful time on this boat trip yesterday. We travelled on the Travelling Lady from Los Cristianos we had a fantastic time seeing the Dolphins. The scenery was stunning. We went to the caves that are called the tunnel of love then was all allowed to swim in the sea. The staff where just impeccable & I would highly recommend this trip to anyone we paid just £12 50 each for 2 hours & was 1 of the best boat trips I have been on (I have been on lots over the years) well done to all staff your doing a fantastic job 👏

We booked a trip with these guys to go out to see whales -dolphins when we arrived in Los Cristianos.
On booking we were asked to leave a mobile number for contact in case there were any potential problems, which we did.
We were advised to arrive 15 minutes prior to setting off but on the day actually arrived 30 mins before sail time .
As time went on, nobody came to meet us.
Gradually more people arrived but as it turned out, they were booked onto another boat.
Sailing time was 1pm however we were still stood waiting nearly 30 minutes later along with other customers.
We then found out from a crew member from another boat that, the crew for our trip had actually gone home. They had made a decision not to sail.
We understand that sometimes trips will be called off but what disappointed us was not one person from the company contacted us or came to say sorry this has been cancelled .
We did get a refund after working out ourselves how to do this but the communication could have been better to customers that were left disappointed

We were very happy with the cruise overall. The guides were very open and honest about the low chances of seeing animals because of the weather, but since we wanted to go anyway, they stuck to the schedule and were very punctual. Luckily and unexpectedly, we saw several pilot whales who swam alongside the yacht and jumped up a few times, which was a real joy. What a magical experience, witnessing them in their natural environment. Cristian, the guide, was very friendly and knowledgeable, and provided us with a lot of interesting information thorough the cruise, while ensuring we were all safe given the rough sea conditions. Thank you for a wonderful day!

The guide was great, helped us to see the pilot whales quickly and identified a jelly fish. People had opportunity to swim if they wish.
Worth a trip and the time that we went 1st Feb wasn’t cold, in fact weather was perfect and sunny, calm seas.

Maybe the experience would be nice but it didn't happen. We bought the tickets online 1 week before and when we arrived at the boat, this was full because they don't consider the tickets already bought when they are allowing persons on the boat. We got the promise that someone will change our tickets for another day. The lady at the counter just gave us a flyer with a phone number which is closed and an email address to reschedule the trip for another day.
2 emails in 2 days nobody answered nor we have the possibility to get our money back.
Make sure you arrive with plenty of time before the actual trip to be sure you don't just have a ticket but also you are allowed to board.
We went with 20 min before stayed in the line and got denied. The interest of Travelin lady stuff to help us solve their problem is the one rated with 0 stars...
We will take the trip with another service provider.

Read poor reviews of other boat trips but overheard someone in cafe saying this was great. Most of the other tours were for three hours, I was a little concerned about being on the boat for that long if I felt sick so decided two hours was enough for us. Indeed it was choppy, but it is the sea and that’s the compromise you have to make if you want to see mammals in nature!
The staff were friendly and bilingual, although was difficult to understand what they were saying even when they tried to speak English, but we got the gist as they pointed to the dolphins and whales so there wasn’t anything else that we needed to know. They handed out sick bags which were used by at least five or six passengers. My daughter and I took seasick tablets just before we got on this was a good investment. The weather was glorious we got to see whales and dolphins and have a sea swim from the boat all for £23.
But sea is VERY choppy.

The trip was fantastic 5* the crew were friendly and very hospitable.
We have been on the travelling lady a number of times, but this was our first time on the new boat. When enquiring about the price, the girl taking the bookings said €25 then turned her back on me witch i found very rude. On the day we booked our trip, we weren't told we could get snacks and drinks on board, and the biggest disappoint for me was we weren't told we could go swimming off the back of the boat.
We will book and go again. but will book with Angie and not with the totally disinterested other girl

We were booked as a family of three but only two ended up going as my son had an upset tummy and couldn’t make the journey. A little disappointing to still have to pay full price but I suppose it can’t be helped as less than 24hr notice.
It was a great trip though, we thoroughly enjoyed seeing a few Dolphins and mostly Pilot Whales and my personal highlight was mummy and baby swimming along side the boat.
Upon spotting the whales the Captain changed direction and slowed the engine and slowly steered in their direction though not close enough to scare them. He did ask that we remain relatively quiet so as not to scare them but you always get the ones screeching!

Hi, is this good for children ages 11 and 14? And is it cheaper and easier to book online ? Thanks in advance
Written 31 July 2023
If your children don't suffer from motion sickness they would be ok, it's a relatively small boat and potentially unstable in even mild sea conditions.Definitely cheaper to book online where it is the cheapest boat trip around, but not necessarily the best. Don't expect to get very close to the whales or the dolphins if spotted at all, swim stop isn't actually far from beach, whole trip will be less than the 2 hours stated to allow for people getting off/on.
