The Jameos del Agua
The impressive creation of César Manrique where he transformed part of the world's longest lava tube into an underground paradise. Home of the rare species of blind albino crabs and the beautiful blue lagoon, the caves have adapted to walk enjoying the impressive landscape.
Jameos del Agua is a series of lava caves, located in the municipality of Haría in the north of Lanzarote, Canary Islands, Spain. It is also a center of art, culture and tourism, created by the local artist and architect, César Manrique, and managed by the government of Lanzarote. Jameos del Agua consists of an underground salt lake, restaurant, gardens, emerald green pool, museum and auditorium.
