      Highly recommended tour
Super experience! The horses are free and look very happy. During my tour, we learned how to take care of the horses and went for an 1 hour ride in the beautiful old pine forest next to the domain. This is better than just to ride them directly. We got to feed and brush the horses. The owner of this company is very nice, knowledgeable and considerate. I would higly recommend going there. There are tours options beside this one.

      Amazing ride
I went with my friend who had no prior riding experience (not recommended, but we didn’t read the full description, oops), but Alessia was more than accommodating for both of our experience levels. She prioritized safety while still ensuring a great experience for both of us. She gave my friend an easy-going horse and gave her a quick riding lesson before we started our ride. My friend and I had the best time and felt like we were hanging out with a friend, while we also learned about history of the land. I wish I could hang out with Alessia and the horses every day. I can’t recommend this experience enough.

      Nice experience
Because I only booked the horse riding experience at 10am at 1am in the morning, when I called the host to confirm at 9:45am that day, it was temporarily changed to 11:30am, so I went to ostia beach first and finally it was almost 12:30am, and they drove to the beach to pick me up . Because I have no relevant experience at all, they will first share some experience and skills in feeding and getting along with horses. Then you can ride a horse slowly from the countryside to a nearby beach. Unfortunately, no photos or videos were taken during the process, only these two photos of the final return trip. It was a good experience for me as a newbie. They taught clearly and patiently. If I have more time in the future, I will definitely come again, it was very fun. It is recommended for experienced people to participate. It is not suitable for people with no sports-related experience at all. It may be difficult.

      Incredible
What an incredible experience! From spending time cleaning and grooming our horses to riding on the beach, it was a wonderful adventure. It was great to get to know the horse before we started and you can tell the owner really cares about the experience for you and the horse. My mum and I have been horse riding all over the world with different guides, probably to 20+ places and this has hands down been our favourite trip. Thank you!

      Awesome ride and good wine!
Tldr: take the path less wandered... We started off a little bit late but that was no issue, the gentleman at the cafe by the metro was more than welcoming. We met our guide, Alessia, and headed into the town to get some breakfast. We we're greeted there by an awesome market and a presentation about how the town once was, which was awesome for me

      Horseback riding
This experience was amazing and I can't wait to go back. The horses are so beautiful, well trained and very friendly. Even if you're a beginner, thanks to Alessia, you can take great walks of horses and in the same time you can learn something new about the place where you are. She's very good in what she does and besides being your instructor, she becomes your friend very quickly.

      Perfect Birthday Experience
The picnic trail ride was great!! My friend and I chose to go horseback riding for my birthday and we both had such a great time! Our trail guide, Alessia, was great! She was so nice and sweet to us! I would definitely recommend here for anyone who wants to enjoy a nice trail horse ride. I will definitely go again on my next trip to Italy!

      Highlight of my Italy trip!
My daughter and I had a full day with Alesia during our trip to Italy. She is a very sweet person and full of interesting history about the area. The horses were great and mine was very affectionate! I hated to leave at the end of the day. I strongly recommend this! Running the horses on the beach was awesome! Our friends and fellow travelers were very jealous! Hope to see you again someday, Alesia!!! Judy and Christine from New York

      Highly recommend!
I had the best ride of my life with Alessia! We spent an amazing day riding in the woods all the way to the beach, beautiful scenery and amazing company. We even stopped by a coffeshop and had an espresso while on the horses! Alessia was generous enough to show us around the stunning historical area of Rome and was very knowledgeable and informative about the history. I learned so much from her on that day and will definitely go back! Highly recommended. Thank you Alessia for this unforgettable experience! 💘

      A Fantastic experience!!!!
What an incredible day we had! Aleesia was wonderful. The horses are well cared for and it was a truly enjoyable experience that I cannot say enough about. In addition to a thoroughly enjoyable ride, we toured the ruins and they were amazing. Aleesia was extremely knowledgeable and a true pleasure to spend the day with. An unbelievable value for the money we paid.

Nice ride, but a lot of wasted time
Alessia was very nice and gave an informative tour of the town before going to the stable. The town is very pretty and interesting. Unfortunately she didn’t have her car and spent a lot of time trying to transport us to and from train station. She was late picking us up from train station. Our group had to be split up and she had no assistance in doing tour of town or in getting horses ready for ride. I really appreciated that she rescued all of her horses and she knows them well and takes good care of them. The ride was nice and informative but people in the back couldn’t hear much. After the ride( which included grooming) we were left in a bar at the park for 1 drink and a few nuts each. We were there a long time waiting for Alessia to return. Finally she returned to take us back to town, I think she was trying to get people to drive us. Our ride was supposed to have a picnic lunch, another person said his included breakfast. Alessia didn’t realize this until we were leaving. When we were in town she left 3 of us at a cafe and told us to order lunch after speaking to the waiter, and she left with the 2 other people in our group to give them the town tour. The waiter gave us 4 options and we ordered. When Alessia returned after we ordered she said she only pays for 1 option-the waiter never told us that. We unfortunately hadn’t ordered that and ended up paying for our own lunch. I did enjoy the ride but the whole experience was very disorganized. I think mostly because she didn’t have her car and was scrounging for drivers. She should have an assistant to help her. She should also be aware of what is included in booking. I would have preferred more time in town rather then sitting at the bar at the park. Also for the price we shouldn't have had to pay for our lunch.

My only regret on this experience is that we didn't spend more time doing it! Alessia is great, her horses (and barn cats) are super as well. Arrange a longer tour that goes to the shoreline, and/or leave plenty of time to explore Ostia Antica (we ran out of time, but largely because we went in the off season when things close early).

We had trouble with the train the morning of our trip. You ultimately need to pick up the Roma Lido line to get to Ostia Antica. Convenient stations to get the Roma Lido liine like Eur Magliana are connected on the "blue" line. The morning of our ride, our train line was closed. Alessia was flexible and understanding when we ran late.

The entire experience was really nice, easy to get there by the metro and everything. I loved that we got brekfast. I belive i made a notion that I was an experienced rider so I hoped i would be able to have some more speed, but I was grouped togheter with some inexperienced riders so no speed gotten. And thats totally fine I just wish i was informed about this. Also somehow belived we were going into the park with the ruins of ostia antica but we stayed outside. in the pine forest closer to the stable. which also was gorgeus but just not what i understood from the description. The horses are super friendly and great for every person. I do hope you vistit here. really recommend <3

This is not just a tour. this is not simply a riding lesson.

This is real culture and an unbelivable experience.

Local heros of the equestrian comunity, the Cavalieri di Gaia do justice to their name and their ancient Roman heritage.

As if Alessias credentials and awards as a world class rider were not enough, the fraternity, love for the land and the luminous personalities running this beautiful stable make this the most incredible, mandatory bucket list kind of adventure.

at the same time you will be treated like family, while experiencing the most proffessional and qualified people the Lazzio countryside have to offer.

On top of that, true nature lovers will apreciatw that the stable runs as a sanctuary for retired horses. your heart will skip a beat when you hear the individual stories of these majestic rescued animals who had quite the celebrity life and pedigree before landing in the care of the Knights of Gaia family for a second chance to keep on living.

If you are thinking about joining them, just do it.

if this wasnt part of your plan and you are reading this by chance, change you plans and just do it.

Thank you Alessia, thank you Pietro.

    We will neve forget this.

Such an amazing experience! Alessia was an incredible guide in sharing history of Rome and Ostia, as well as teaching us about animal care and creating a bond with the horses before we started our trail ride. Really beautiful trail, I had a wonderful time with my sister both of us were new to horse riding and felt so comfortable on the trail! If you have time I highly recommend this excursion, a great start at a small local coffee shop right outside the train station and truly wonderful trail ride with such a knowledgeable guide!

Alessia was great. We booked our ride at short notice and she was able to accommodate us on Jan 1st, when most places were closed. It was my wife and I’s first real riding experience. Alessia was very patient and the horses were really calm. I particularly liked how she treated them equals with great respect. We got to participate from start to finish - feeding / grooming / saddling the horses.

We had a wonderful experience in the pine woods near Rome. Alessia picked us up from the station and explained us everything about her horses. We were invited to help preparing the horses and had a relaxed ride through the forest. Finally we had a delicious Roman meal in a nearby restaurant and were carried back to the station. Everything was included in the price we payed. Alessia and her coworkers were very friendly. However we had much trouble with the booking platform yumping where we originally booked the tour. They had published wrong prices and were quite inflexible when recognizing the mistake. So we recommend Cavalieri di Gaia very much, but neuer book via yumping!

Me and my partner went in August and we are absolutely amazed at the whole experience. We didn't just have a good time out riding with the horses, we were welcomed and treated like friends.

We were in no rush om the way in, so we did a lot of talking and waiting for the rain to stop, and once it did we really enjoyed our trip in the forest of ostia.

The horses are really well cared for and happy. Seeing as it is a sanctuary, they are all old, retired athletes, and when you see Alicia's competence and warmth, anyone would know they're in the right place. These horses were given a second chance and it is clear that Alicia really burns for what she does.

Not only did we go for a ride, but one of our guides, Pietro, was so kind to take us to a local endurance race which was really valuable for us, and we learned a lot about a world we didnt know too much about. At the end of the day we all parted as friends.

I cannot recommend this enough. From the countryside view, the history of the land, the horses and the people... you're in good hands. An amazing experience and we hope to see you all again!

From a touristic point of view, this was as perfect as it could have been. From a human perspective, we will never forget this.

The ride I had with Alessia was wonderful. The horses are well-cared for and it was such a beautiful and fun experience to get to know Rome from horseback. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to do something different then just sightseeing the big things like the colosseum. With this ride you can relax and experience the beautiful nature. Thumbs up!

I cannot rate this experience highly enough!! Alessia was such a warm, caring person. Our ride took us through a forest and out onto the beach which was so different to what I’m used to in Australia! The history she provided on the area was fascinating and suggestions on other locations to visit while we were in Rome was extremely helpful! The horses were mostly rescues and were all so gentle, quiet and well looked after. We even got to see wild foxes and some large birds that I had never seen in Australia. Prior to the ride, we met at cafe next to the train station which provided me with a coffee and croissant and was complimentary. I hope Alessia reaches out to me if she is ever in Australia so I can share the same hospitality she provided me!!!

Had a yummy complimentary breakfast at the station cafe (delicious pastries and coffee!) and then got picked up by the lovely Alessia who drove us to the ranch where we met the horses. We spent time feeding, grooming and getting to know them then went for a ride through the forest for an hour ish, was an amazing experience with beautifully mannered horses, highly recommend!!
