This cruise was fabulous! From the well organised introduction and safety outline, the distribution of waterproof coats and the informative commentary throughout the 2-2.5 hour cruise the staff were very efficient, friendly and helpful. The scenery was fantastic and you’d never see the coastline like this from land. Stunning islands and rock formations. The crew took turns to point out these sights plus nests, birds and for me the highlight - the seals. Being up so close to seals playing on the rocks and swimming just a few metres away was fantastic. It was worth every cent of the price and I can’t recommend the experience highly enough.

A very professional operator with very professional staff with great boats who gives one a great experience with the best of customer service.
David and Renae are a credit to the operation.
The $135 fare sounded expensive but given the quality of tour is really great value

Have been on previous cruises with the same company on three occasions from Bruny Island, this is the first time out of Tidal River. The ribs that are used are a unique vessel , fast , maneuverable and safe in most weather conditions. The Tidal River vessels are unique again in that they that they have wheels and can enter the sea negating the need to build a jetty. An ATV is parked alongside the vessel that is equipped with steps that make it easy to get on board. The area on the west side of the Prom is studded with Islands , these vessels enable viewing of a number of Island , some inhabited by seals but the most spectacular being Skull Rock. You will need to don the cape provided as occasionally spray will break over the side.
The vessel I was on was skippered by Sam who not only navigated the vessel but gave informative details of what we were viewing.Fantastic experience is a most unique vessel with an excellent skipper and crew.. Highly recommend.

The Pennicott cruise around Wilson’s prom was an awesome experience. From the start, the staff & crew are so friendly. The rules & safety presentation are easy to follow & even comes with a bit of good old Aussie humour, which continued throughout the tour making all feel relaxed. The amphibious boat surpassed our expectations. Following Covid guidelines, there was ample seating & space, they are so clean & well maintained that they look as if they are still new. We were astonished with how responsive & stable they are, definitely could get up & go. At each location the crew’s professionalism and knowledge was outstanding, pointing out interesting facts at each location. They were more than happy to answer all questions & even help you to get that perfect photo, giving you plenty of time to stand up & enjoy the sights. We highly recommend this 2.5 hour tour for any age.

Absolutely spectacular! Our skipper Dave was awesome, she showed us Eagle nests, then we saw eagles, seals, dolphins and got up close and personal with some of the most breathtaking coastline on the planet. Would highly recommend this trip, it's worth every coin. 10/10 - well done!

We had a great time from the beginning to the finish and although the weather/sea was a little bit rough in places the overall experience was very enjoyable. The staff were fantastic and informative and would answer all questions they were asked. The scenery was amazing and to add an awesome ingredient we were given a show by two humpback whales and a pod of dolphins!

We were a busload of ages 65+ years old. The less mobile were taken down to the boat on the beach by ATV and assisted up the steps. Seasick tablets were offered, but not necessary. Very smooth departure down the beach and into the calm waters. Everyone had a seat-belt and we were all supplied thick red wind-jackets with hoods. The boat traveled at 25 knots so it was quite breezy as we were going along. Motored along the coast to the actual 'Prom' of Wilsons Promontory before heading our to play with the dolphins, see and smell the seals and view Skull Rock. There were opportunities when the boat stopped to stand up and take some great photos. Sam and Liam were very entertaining, super helpful and most professional. Without any doubt, this cruise was the highlight of our tour of eastern Victoria.

Excellent outing - easy online booking and confirmation. Check-in 1/2 hour at Tidal River prior to cruise was handled well. Children were given life jacket and a light zipper rain jacket while adults were given long waterproof jacket. Captain and crew were friendly and knowledgeable. Although it was a bright and hot day, it got quite cold when we were at sea, so a jacket is recommended. There is an emergency toilet on the boat but they do stress that it’s for emergency. The boat is really cool as it goes straight from the beach to the sea.

Very popular, there were 2 boats full of tourists on the day we went. Our skipper was very friendly and full of knowledge. We saw hundreds of seals and Skull Rock was a highlight. Sit towards back of boat if you get motion sickness or up the front if you like rollercoasters.

Unique amphibious cruise around coast line and several islands , amazing rock formations and vegetation, interesting bird life and seals and knowledgeable crew.
Due to reduced mobility I was transported the short distance from car park to the boat “Wilson” parked on the beach at Tidal River. Everyone was issued with a red hooded spray poncho and safety instructions were given before boarding via steps. Each vessel seated 20+ passengers, affording everyone a good view.
Ginger tablets were distributed to anyone who felt they might have motion sickness.
The vessel was then driven across the sand and into the sea before the wheels were raised and the out board motors engaged.
The 2 types of fur seals were fun to watch and Skull Rock was awesome.
Cruise caters for all ages several children were on our trip.
All staff were delightfully friendly and willing to help.
Highly recommend this experience.
Tip: make sure your hat/cap is firmly anchored to you before take off!
