- christiansR4267EQ0 contributionsYou have to take the chance to experience this!Such a great experience. Rowan and his colleagues prepared us so well for the tour. You get all the gear you need so you dont end up freezing or wet. And then it's off to the races. We took a nice trip, adjusted to our groups level, we braved some waves and also had a nice small fika in between with tea and some cookies. Afterwards we enjoyed a bigger fika with coffee and tea and a big selection of pastries. The sauna afterwards was a great chance to relax and we could take a dip in the ice water in between rounds. All in all an absolute must if you have never done this kind of thing before. Highly recommended, easily accessible using public transport. Thank you guys!Written 12 January 2025
- JohnGotti_10 contributionsNothing better to switch up your Stockholm visitDespite it being late November, we were absolutely sure about doing a canoeing tour to explore the Archipelago around Stockholm by ourselves. Our guides were super nice and we were incredibly lucky with the weather. After a wonderful Fika in the sun, we returned and even had the opportunity to test out our dry suits - a unique feeling. Beyond, the canoe center is easily reachable by public transport from Stockholm and the prices are more than fair for what is being offeredWritten 5 January 2025
- Nicole P0 contributionsA unique experience beyond rhe museums and Christmas markets. My 20 year old daughter thought I lost my marbles when I told her we were going to go winter kayaking in Sweden. Although it was cold, we had an amazing time. We wore our own leggings under our jeans, shirt and sweatshirt, and then the guide gave us a full dry suit, extra socks, gloves, etc so we were comfortable. The place was very easy to find on public transport from Stockholm — right off the bus stop. The guide, Max, was AMAZING! He was super funny, told great stories about the islands and surrounding area, and made sure he didn’t lose any of us. He also took photos which they sent us (for free). It was a great and unique way to see a different part of the greater Stockholm area.Written 21 December 2024
- 560ilianac0 contributionsAmazing experience!!!I went with my friends for kayaking at the beginning of December 2024 and it was an amazing experience. The highlight was that we jumped into the water at the end of the kayaking. The stuff were very kind with us and helped us a lot with the instructions and the equipment.Written 15 December 2024
- hannaheW4411EW0 contributionsBest day trip in Stockholm! The kayaking trip was the highlight of our trip to Stockholm. Max, our guide, was amazing & the day was so well planned. It was an extremely cold day but if you adhere to the list of what to bring + the equipment you’re loaned then you’ll be cosy & dry! The views were incredible & due to the time of year we got to experience sunset on the water. Our kayak trip finished with ‘fika’ & a chance to go in the extremely cold water & recover in the wood sauna. 10/10 experience & we’ll definitely be doing again if we return! - catherinegL7563GJ0 contributionsWonderful day out on the winter waterHad a wonderful time on this kayaking trip. I haven’t had much experience kayaking - but that didn’t matter. Instructions were super clear and our guide made it easy to get into our equipment and out on the water. While paddling around the islands we were told stories of the land around us and saw amazing wildlife - deer, swans, eagles and even a seal. We even stopped for a Fika before continuing on our way.Written 25 November 2024
- cjaxmack0 contributionsSuperb kayaking tourFabulous experience! The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. We kayaked approximately 8 km with a stop for Fika about 2/3 through. Be sure to book your sauna experience. We submerged ourselves in the Baltic Sea and warmed up in the wood burning sauna. It was wonderful. Max was a fantastic guide. It was very easy to get there on public transit!! And a visit to Vaxholm at the end of the day!Written 1 November 2024
- bkkh19960 contributionsWonderful, professionalI rented a sea kayak from Skargardens Kanotcenter for a daytrip around the archipelago this summer in July, and it was such a seamless experience. The staff at Skargardens are very knowledgeable about the area and provided excellent insights on what routes to take within the archipelago, which parts to avoid e.g. due to boat traffic. Theresa and Maeli were excellent, attentive and very helpful. Overall, highly recommend visiting if you're looking for a nature adventure near the outskirts of Stockholm. Kudos to the team for keeping such an immaculate and well-stocked place!Written 21 October 2024
- F5591CL_0 contributionsMust Have for nature lovers in Stockholm!Such a fun experience!! Our guides were experts and took all necessary safety mesaures, views were wonderful, the kayaks were pretty easy to navigate and the entire trip was an awesome adenture! Be prepared you'll probably won't take photos yourself since you'll be gloved up for mose of the trip - But our guides have taken lots of pics to capture the essence for us. Overall really recommended!Written 21 October 2024
- nisargp1560 contributionsSerene kayaking adventure with stunning views followed by a cold plunge and saunaHad a wonderful time kayaking the archipelagos. The place is easy to get to from Stolkholm with a fairly frequent bus. Lots of great views and fall colours when you go in October. Got to see a family of deer and a view of the Vaxholm fortress. Jumping in the cold water and going to the sauna after kayaking was a lively experience that I strongly advocate everyone visiting to do. Theresa was a patient and affable tour guide with alot of experience. She has a ton of expertise to share not only regarding kayking but the region and it's history as well - I learned a lot! Overall, highly recommended if you're looking for an exciting nature adventure in the accessible outskirts of Stolkholm.Written 14 October 2024
- michaelcA1042TS0 contributionsSerene kayak trip through small islands!Great trip and Max was a great guide! Two- person ocean kayak can be hard to operate the rudder pedals if you have large sneakers on. Should recommend flat shoes or sandals for the person who steers the kayak.Written 26 September 2024
- jessemG8087JV0 contributionsAmazing experienceExcellent trip with Florian! The trip was safe, fun and he was a great guide. It was a great workout. All safety precautions are taken and I felt safe at all times. The lunch picnic was so great and Swedish food was excellent. Only thing I would point out is this site is about 30-45 min outside of Stockholm so it's a bit of travel. Uber is not an option out there, but there's a bus station across the street and you can tap-pay the bus with any credit card.Written 11 September 2024
- Buddy8440 contributionsJessica fantastic guideThe tour was simply fantastic! Jessica, our guide, was exceptional: very kind, incredibly helpful, and extremely knowledgeable. She took us on a beautiful route and shared many interesting facts about Sweden. I highly recommend this guide!Written 2 September 2024
- nicolassG6856PH0 contributionsAmazing 7-day trip in Archipelago! We took a 7-day trip in July from France: 2 couples (2x K2) and a 13-year-old (K1). It was an amazing experience with superb scenery. However, the weather conditions were not always ideal (fog, wind, rain). Just Breton weather! But the sunshine soon made up for these inconveniences. I'd particularly like to thank Kanotcenter: organizing our trip (booking, payment, email exchanges) was very easy: thank you Maëli! ; the equipment (kayaks and Premium pack for the bivouacs) was excellent (very comfortable, warm, safe...); the briefing at the start (thanks Teresa!!) was just perfect (in French !!) and very relevant to our expectations. We were amazed at the freedom we had to go...wherever we wanted. Bivouac anywhere, what a luxury! On the downside, I'm an experienced kayaker. Multi-day excursions require a bit of kayaking experience, including in uncomfortable conditions: wind, rain, waves. You also need to be used to navigating with a map and compass (but that's what's so great about this experience!) and have a group ready to help each other, especially in difficult moments (fatigue, sudden fog, etc.). But it's still a very accessible adventure, because you're never far from civilization (the islands are rarely very far from each other). We were virtually self-sufficient in food. We were right to do so, even if it is possible to stock up from time to time on certain islands. It's also easy to stock up on water. We'll be back! But this time, I'd like to try some of the offshore islands to see some seals.Written 28 August 2024
- martindD7987UT0 contributionsA highlight of our trip to Sweden. This was a real highlight of our trip to Stockholm. We had a terrific tour of the Archipelago around Vaxholm, with Fika, and very much enjoyed spending time with our guide Linnea. The centre also has a Sauna which we very much enjoyed. Highly recommended.Written 21 August 2024

I’ve been renting kayaks with my friends here since May this year. There’s always been a friendly and warm welcome where they help us with the route and campsites.
The Swedish archipelago is so beautiful and if you start your route from Resarö you have a lot of options when it comes to nice lunch stops, campsites and beaches.

I rented a Kayak and camping gear from the center. The staff were friendly and helpful in providing possible routes for me to take. The equipment I was provided was in great condition. The archipelago itself is stunning. I highly recommend going to this place if you consider going out on the archipelago.
