I booked a tour with Myriam for myself and three friends. Not only was Myriam a delight to deal with: super flexible as well as resourceful when planning our itinerary (we had some specific requests). She was also extremely knowledgeable about wine and the region.

Pickup and drop-off were seamless. Lastly, she literally went the extra mile, driving out of her way to return a wine bottle I'd accidentally left in her car at the end of my tour. You will be in good hands with her.

Dear Deborah, Thank you very much for taking the time to leaving this praising review. It was great meeting you and your friends, I keep fond memories of the morning spent with the 4 of you. And thank you as well for recommending me to some of your friends recently. Unfortunately I was not available on the day when they were visiting the Loire Valley. Kindest regards, Myriam

Fascinating tour of a family owned vineyard and winery, guided by the very knowledgeable and charming Myriam. Starting in the vineyard where harvesting the Chenin Blanc grapes that would become AOC Vouvray wine was under way, followed by a tour of the winery and the amazing cellars carved into the limestone hillside. At the end, a delightful tasting of the excellent Vouvray wines paired with delicious local meats and cheeses. This was an excellent way to learn about how wine is made in the Loire valley, and about Vouvray wines in particular.

Thank you very much for this wonderful review. You were lucky to be able to see grape picking when you came for the wine tour - which happens only 3 or 4 weeks a year, in September and/or October. During harvest time I take people see grape-picking (either by hand or by machine) in the vineyard, which is something visitors enjoy very much. They get to taste grape juice from the pressing machines and juice that has just started to ferment from the vats. I'm glad to read you enjoyed the wine tasting as well. Kindest regards

I booked the three-hour "From Vine to Wine" tour of the vineyard, winery, and cellar followed by tastings of 6 wines plus samples of excellent locally prepared food -- and every moment was a delight. Myriam, our guide and a member of the owners' family was almost exhaustively knowledgable about each aspect of the process, but it was not at all exhausting to listen to her as we walked because her charm, good humor, and obvious love of the land made for a fascinating afternoon. This tour would be fine for both a novice and a wine connoisseur. The Vouvray wines surprised me -- only one was "sweet" and even that was pleasing! And the pairings with local foods was sublime; quite beyond my expectations. All excellent value!

Thank you very much for this excellent review, I'm delighted to read that you've enjoyed the wine tour so much. The 'From vine to wine' tour is, of all the tours I offer, the one people ask most often, as it is a thorough tour, made so that visitors can understand the whole wine-making process, from grape growing to bottling.... and wine tasting of course. You are right when saying it is both adapted to a novice and a wine connoisseur, as I've already had American sommeliers joining this tour. I'm glad to read you were surprised by the Vouvray wines. Indeed they have many facets to offer. The local food is always part of the tasting I offer, as I think wine is always better appreciated when served with food, and it is the opportunity for visitors to discover what is produced in the area. My kindest regards, I hope to see you again in the vineyard!

After so much research online on winery tour in the Loire region, what got our attention was this interesting small tour offered with more ins and outs of wine production.

It turned out to be one of the best winery tour that we ever had. Myriam was such a great professional guide not only in her in-depth knowledge of the wine production and the wine industry in France but also in her charming story telling of her family winery life and how wine making is in Vouvray. We got quite fascinated with so much that we have never known on many “behind the scenes” in the life of winemakers, their passion, their love of wine and especially how winemakers in Vouvray work so hard to keep up with their quality tradition within the control of AOC.

Her story of how her family’s own cellar was created by hand was so incredible. Highly recommended: an intimate tour of the vines and the amazing Alain Robert wine cellar, a great guide and a most charming hostess!

Thank you so much Myriam for a memorable experience.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH for this wonderful and praising review!! I am really happy to read that you enjoyed the wine tour and the wine tasting so much. I had a great time with you in the vineyard, it was a pleasure to spend that afternoon with you in the vineyard, showing you round and sharing with you a little bit of our life as winemakers. The tour was also very interesting for me, as you had many questions to ask, which I love as they make the wine tours always more lively for me. I offer small group tours to make sure everybody feels comfortable and feels free to ask any question that come to their mind - no silly question as I like to tell visitors. I had a memorable afternoon as well, it was nice to meet you and your family. My best wishes to all of you! Kindest regards

My family visited Vignoble Alain Robert, in Vouvray, Loire, as part of a wine tour from Paris. The host, Myriam, was gracious, engaging, and the light lunch of meats, cheeses, salads, and dessert, was yummy.

We tasted, perhaps, a half-dozen wines, paired with cheese, and to my uncalibrated pallet (no wine tasting decriptors here), all were delicious. In particular, the sparkling white and rosé we had were fantastic. In fact, we ordered a case of white and rosé shipped to our home.

The shipping didn't work so well. The vineyard uses Mailboxes Etc. and FedEx to ship. Apparently, the wine shipment got stuck in customs in ... I think New Jersey ... with no way out. And, so, our wine was shipped back to France. And, then they resent it. It got through the second time. It took about ten weeks. I am not sure what the customs problem was.

Despite that, communication with Myriam to resolve the shipping hassle was great, and she worked to get the wine to us. It would be unfair to blame the vineyard for the failures of Mailboxes, FedEx, and the U.S. Customs Service. I am pleased to say that the wine arrived in very good condition and is ready for us to enjoy.

All-in-all, friendly host, lovely vineyard, tasty wine, I recommend visiting and tasting wine at Vignoble Alain Robert, in Vouvray.

Thank you so much for leaving this great and long review! It was nice meeting you and I'm glad to read you enjoyed the meal and the wines from our family winery that were served on the day you came to visit. We can actually ship wine almost everywhere in the world, and I was sorry that it took so long for the bottles to reach your home. It is the first time it has ever happened - and I hope it was the last one as well! Otherwise it can be very quick, as it took just a week for your bottles to be reshipped from our region to your home. Mail Boxes etc is indeed the company we work with for shipping, and they used to offer 2 options - either using Fedex or UPS. The latter is a little more expensive, but apparently more efficient as well, so Mail Boxes have decided to only offer the UPS option from now on. It seems that your wine was stuck at US customs by FedEx, from what we were told... They were asking for some documents that had already been sent, and that were sent again, but that didn't seem to help, which is why Mail Boxes to have your bottles sent back to France and reshipped with UPS. In any case, when there is a problem, we always make sure to be available for our customers to answer their questions and to find a solution. All is well that ends well. I hope you'll enjoy the wines as much as when you visited! Kindest regards

If you would like to have a great experience learning about the wines of Vouvray, you should schedule a visit with Myriam, who will provide you with a fun and interesting visit.
My wife and I know quite a bit about wine, and we were with another couple who know little, and Myriam did a great job of making sure all of us had a great experience. We happened to visit during harvest, which made things even better. And the wines are great too!

Really intetesting history of this vinyard and wine production in general. Great to walk in the vines and visit of the cellars. Myriam made us feel very welcome and was very knowledgable. Great wine and food degustation at the end. Not a tourist trap but a genuine and passionate local producer. Would highly recommend.
