We absolutely loved this trip, The trip into the rainforest was amazing. We saw many animals from the boat including Howler Monkeys, a sloth & Cayman. The coco plantation was much more than we expected & would highly recommend. The talk & demonstration of the plantation was taken by 2 men who were born and bred on the plantation, whose knowledge and passion was amazing. We were given pods to smash & open which was great fun. Taste the varieties of coco pods and eventually taste the chocolate which was superb. Would love to go again.

We did a Sloth Encounter tour, we had the opportunity to observe the sloths up close, we combined it with the Río Celeste Waterfall, without a doubt the walk is worth it, the landscape is something incredible. Our guide was well informed and attentive to us throughout the tour. The lunch was delicious and we were delighted with this experience. We hope to come back soon, guys!

Issys was super easy to work with. We made a last minute decision to squeeze in a tour before leaving the country and they got us set up in less than 24 hours all via WhatsApp! Our guide (Nolberto) was absolutely fantastic and this tour did not disappoint. We had a lively discussion during the drive, saw more animals than we expected (crocodiles, iguanas, multiple types of herons, ibis, egrets, white faced monkeys), and had a delicious traditional lunch at a local ranch. We would definitely recommend Issys and this particular tour.

Boat ride was fun and saw several animals along the way as advertised! Nolberto was very knowledgeable and accommodating throughout the entire experience!

We took a snorkeling cruise with Issys Tours and had a wonderful time. Our two guides were excellent and made the trip enjoyable. The water was clear and we saw lots of beautiful fish. We had a delicious snack of fruit and fresh oysters. What a treat! We high recommend Issys Tours. All their guides were prompt and fun to be around.

We did the Rio Celeste Waterfall in a pouring rain storm but still enjoyed the hike to a gorgeous waterfall. This was the rainforest and we should have been better prepared. The thin, flimsy ponchos barely covered my husband but it was better than nothing. Our guide, Nolberto Hernandez, made the trip fun and informative. He is the BEST Costa Rican guide we have ever had! The rain pretty much stopped when we arrived at the Sloth Encounter and that tour was amazing. We had an up close encounter with a sloth and got many amazing pictures. The young girl who was our guide was enthusiastic and informative. We highly recommend this tour. Nolberto then took us for a near-by fabulous traditional Costa Rican lunch. Nolberto’s knowledge of the area, history, current events, etc. of Costa Rica was fascinating. He made the trip a delight!

Great tour with an even great guide, Nolberto Hernandez. We saw monkeys, crocodiles and many water birds. Nolberto was so knowledgeable about every animal, the river, Costa Rican history, etc. He made the trip fun too! It was a perfect tour.

We used Issys for three separate drives on our trip last month and highly recommend their transportation services! Esteban was a fabulous driver!! He picked us up in the evening at Liberia airport and drove us to la Fortuna He drove us from La Fortuna to El Mangroove He drove us from El Mangroove to Liberia Esteban was always a bit early and a great and careful driver. We enjoyed talking with him and would recommend him and Issys to everyone.

We did the mega combo adventour tour. Our driver, Nolberto, picked us up at our hotel at 7am. The first stop was a one hour, relaxing horse ride through a path in a national park. From there we changed into bathing suits and walked down to a river where we met up with some other tourists and "river guides" who loaded us into tubes and we "white water" tubed 2 miles down a river. It was exhilarating ! Next we went to another part of the same park where we were outfitted for the zip line experiece. There were about 8 platforms which took us zip lining over the river that we had just tubed down. After that was a lunch that may have been our favorite meal of the trip...a delicious buffet of traditional rice, beans, vegetables, and meat of your choice. The next event was to the volcanic mud bath where we were "painted" with volcanic mud and then sat in the sun for a short period to dry. We then washed off the mud in the hot springs, which ranged in various temperatures from hot to warm to cool. We could stay there as long as we wanted. The surprise at the end of the adventure was we learned a young man had been following our group along on all the events and had taken very personal and up close pictures of each of us. We purchsed the download of 249 pics of the four of us for only $60 (cash). A steal for some great memories and laughs! Highly recommend this adventure.

The trip to the rainforest was incredible. Our driver, Nolberto, picked us u at our hotel in Playa Portrero at 7am, we drove a little over an hour to the waterfall which was pretty, just a short walk from the parking lot to view and wade in the water if we wanted. Next it was off to the rainforest, another hour and a half, but great scenery and conversation along the way. Once in the rainforest, we were turned over to the guide who immediately found a red eyed frog, some snakes in the trees, some sloths up high in the trees, a small "dart frog", and plenty of trees and plants. It was a great, memorable experience. After that was lunch in a local restaurant (traditional and delicious rice and beans with chicken or pork). From there we went to a coffee and cocoa bean planation. This was so much fun! Our family of four were the only ones there, so we got a very personalized tour and got to help grind coffee beans and pop open the cocoa beans. There was plenty of tasting too! On the drive back to the hotel, my daughter asked if there was a place to get a coconut, so Nolberto pulled over to a roadside fruit stand and we got two raw coconuts! We got back to our hotel around 5pm. A long but very exciting day.

This is an amazing tour with a fabulous company! We asked for a tour at the last moment and the company was very quick to respond with a yes for the very next day. Our guide arrived at 7:30 and on our way to the national park, we were able to drive through some local villages and enjoy seeing the area. At the national park, we boarded a boat and saw many different types of animals - crocodiles, many birds, multiple iguanas, a troop of monkeys, bats, and more. Our guide was very informative and highly knowledgeable about Costa Rica as well as most of central and south America. After the tour, we went to a local ranch for a very delicious typical Costa Rican lunch - homemade corn tortillas, rice and beans, slaw salad, veggie salsa, eggs, chicken, fresh juice and coffee. We watched the ladies make the tortillas on the open fire. Overall, it was a fabulous day with a great guide, and we would recommend the tour and especially this company 110%!!!

We had the most amazing time! We had Freddie as our tour guide and he was so knowledgeable about the rain forest - Costa Rica - animals and so much more! We would definitely book another tour with Issys! Extremely helpful with our reservation! You want an amazing adventure, book with them!

I’m sure that 5 stars fall short for this company! We used both services, transfers and excursions, they were very punctual, their vehicles were comfortable, clean and with all the required permits! We booked the Sloth Encounter and their Cacao and coffee tour was very interesting and informative. Norberto was an excellent guide, and Isis helped us a lot in our booking process. We will definitely be back soon for more excursions with these guys!
