Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi, Huu Lung

Stop At: Hữu Lũng District, Lạng Sơn, Vietnam
Beginning of our motorcycle road trip in North Vietnam. After breakfast, departure towards Lang Son in the North East. We take the national road 1A, called mandarin road. The atmosphere changes radically after crossing the city of Bac Giang.

Departure for the territory of Cao Bang by a still wild road, with uneven terrain and gigantic mountains. We cross Dong Khe and That Khe. These regions are well known in memory of the deadly fighting that took place in 1950 between the Viet Minh troops on one side and the French colonial army on the other.

We cross several small passes to finally reach the village of blacksmiths Phuc Sen where we spend the night.

Depending on the weather, we make a visit to the village to discover the daily life of the local population, especially their traditional trade very famous for its quality.

• Lunch
• Dinner
Accommodation included: Night with the locals.

Day 3: Quang Uyen, Ban Gioc Falls, Ba Be

Stop At: Ban Gioc Falls, Trung Khanh, Cao Bang 22000 Vietnam
Resumption of the vehicle in the direction of Ba Be. The road crosses a plain through which flows a river with supernatural waters. Quickly, the Ban Gioc waterfalls, the highest in Vietnam, come before us in a dazzling setting. Photos, swimming, boat ride on the river (which marks the natural border with China), everything comes together to enjoy a magical moment in an enchanting site.

On the way back, the caves of Nguom Ngao have the distinction of crossing the mountain from side to side, and their many and diverse (by their forms) limestone concretions make it one of the most beautiful in the country.
Duration: 8 hours

• Breakfast
• Lunch
• Dinner

Day 4: Ba Be

Stop At: Ba Be National Park, Ba Be National Park, Bac Kan Province

It is always by boat that we arrive at Puong Cave which is home to an impressive colony of bats. On the way back, on the banks of the Nang River, visit Ban Cam (the small hamlet of the Tay ethnic group). Breakfast in a local restaurant.

After the meal, it is a pleasant stroll on foot along a path that runs along the river that we discover the Dau Dang waterfall. Resumption of the boat to the An Ma temple, perched on a tiny islet, where many celebrations take place throughout the year. (Possibility to swim).

After picking up the car on a short trip, it is by boat that we cross part of the Van Long nature reserve with its rice fields, karst peaks and caves. Wild landscapes are home to many protected species (for example the Langur de Delacour, a primate species endemic to Vietnam).
