      Gin tour and tasting
Very informative tour and tasting. Hattie was very enthusiastic about the distillery and had excellent knowledge about her place of work, the distilling process of whisky and gin, and also how to enhance the flavours when drinking these spirits. She spoke very highly of her employer who appears to have a clear vision of how to grow and develop the business using local produce and caring about environmental factors. Good choice of food and drink at the cafe. Cotswolds Distillery is well worth a visit.

      Great lunch, fantastic whisky
This wasn’t our first time at the Distillery and re-visited to show some family members over from America what real whisky is like and to also have some lunch. Tables can’t be reserved so it’s a case of wait for one to be available. The cafe being full did put a bit of pressure on the waiting staff who weren’t quick to clear tables (so actually making the queue longer). Maybe one or two extra in the front of house would help keep things flowing a bit quicker? The food was excellent and good value for money given the location with generous portion sizes and great presentation. Then it was into the shop to try some of the new whiskies. The lady serving us is a great ambassador for the distillery and her passion for the job, coupled with some humour more than made up for the cafe wait. We could sample any of the products and didn’t feel rushed or pressured at any time. Needless to say we left considerably lighter of wallet (Treacle Rum, Banyuls cask whisky, sherry cask whisky and Calvados cask whisky) but quality of these levels is never cheap. If you’re in the Cotswolds, a visit to the distillery is highly recommended.

A great visit for gin and whisky lovers
Cotswold Distillery tour is brilliant. I have been twice in the last 3 years. John, our guide, gave a friendly informative tour today, taking us around the distillery explaining the process of the creation of the award winning single malt whiskies and gins. A tasting session at the end in a relaxed atmosphere was a perfect finish to the visit. A good way to spend an afternoon or morning for couples or adult groups. Even the designated drivers were not left out, with a little canvas bag of miniatures of their choice to take away.

      Well worth a visit
Lovely tour of the distillery with tasting included of gin and whiskey. Very informative. The distillery is in a very nice setting in the Cotswolds, out in the sticks but well worth the visit.

      Lovely
Fantastic afternoon out, lunch, cocktails, tour (whiskey and gin tasting afterwards) so lovely. Idyllic setting, bit of stair climbing (one flight) which I think you could get around if immobile (lots of gravel paths I noticed) Quality of gin / whiskey lovely. Can just visit shop/restaurant-cafe for brunch/lunch/coffee/cake. Beautiful pizza.

      Great spot for lunch.
Stopped for a bite for lunch. Had two amazing platters, one cheese and the other a meat one. Tons of food and totally delucious. Very reasonably priced and great terrace to sit out on to enjoy a sunny lazy lunch.

Fabulous lunch in a beautiful setting
We searched for somewhere cool to ride out to for lunch and we were absolutely delighted that we found the cafe attached to the distillery. Such beautiful surroundings to enjoy a lovely lunch at reasonable prices. We shall definitely be back.

      Private Tour, Tasting & Lunch
Last Saturday Exploring English Whisky took a group of 11 members to do a private tour, tasting and lunch at Cotswolds Distillery. I cannot thank the entire distillery centre team enough for hosting us in exquisite style. From the first welcome to the last goodbye the experience was excellent hospitality from every member of staff. Ollie was our tour guide and he was passionate & knowledgeable and his excitement for the distillery rubbed off on everyone on the tour. Katie Groves then took us through a sublime bespoke tasting line-up (including a couple of unique cask samples) and the group were transfixed throughout by the liquid and Katie's excellent hosting. Lunch was amazing, with a varied and delicious spread, with more than enough for a hungry group to enjoy. All round 5* day out, highly recommended, especially if you can arrange a private tour for a work event or special occasion.

      We’ll be back again!
A relaxed and enjoyable tour with plenty of samples, this is one of the best distillery tours out there in terms of value for money and quality products. Our guide Suzie lead the tour at a good pace, answered all our questions, made as laugh and couldn’t do enough for us

      A Cotswolds Gem
Received a lovely warm welcome from Deanne who took time to showcase the wonderful selection of Cotswolds' whiskies and gins. The distillery is in a beautiful rural setting and the facilities are excellent; we arrived mid-afternoon so enjoyed tea and cake (divine!). It's clear that this is a well thought out and professional presentation and a must for any single malt whisky lover. We'll be back in the future for a tasting tour and to see our friendly Deanne (hopefully as a guide to the distillery itself).....when I'm not driving of course! David & Heather, Somerset.

Gin distillery tour at Stourton, Warwickshire
A wonderful tour of the distillery by our host Hattie. Would definitely recommend. So much information given and the tasting at the end was just incredible! We carried on with tea and cake at the cafe. Thank you so much for a lovely afternoon 😊

      Gin and Whiskey tasting tour
Beautiful location !!! stunning views all around the area !!! We had lunch before our 1.30pm tour in the lovely cafe at the distillery. Our tour guide was a very nice friendly person and very informative too. Everywhere you go at the site it is absolutely spotlessly clean. After the tour there are so many samples to try of Whiskey and Gin in the lovely lounge bar. If you are the driver they pack up lots of samples for you take home and drink at your leisure. We were already fans of both their gin and cream liqueur as have purchased these before from their Bourton on the Water shop and love it . My husband now is looking forward to purchasing their rum when it is for sale later in the year !!! We fully recommend a visit to the Cotswolds Distillery. Thank you so much for a lovely afternoon.

Great experience and value for money
I went on the distillery tour with a friend having bought a Groupon voucher. Booking process was easy and friendly.I had to change the time of the your and this was done very quickly by email. The tour was carried out by Hattie who was very welcoming and informative. We were taken round the distillery and shown the process - clearly explained. We then went into a lovely bar where we given a tasting flight of the classic whisky and gin with recommendations for how to taste. Then we had 30mins in which to have as many samples as we would like with appropriate mixers. This was finished off by a sample of the distillery’s cream liqueur. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and I would highly re recommend others to go. Cafe and shop were lovely too.

I treated my whisky loving partner to a tasting tour with pizza and a cocktail. The tour was good, although I think it helped that we have done a few other distillery tours in Scotland so we had a good understanding of the Whisky making process. If you didn't, I'm not sure the process was particularly well explained to be honest. The tour felt a little bit rushed and disjointed and the start to finish from grain to liquor wasn't really thoroughly explained. The tasting was good, although again in comparison with tours we have done in Scotland, the tastings were not particularly generous in volume and it didn't feel as though the level of expertise was there with the staff. Understandable I guess as the chap who did our tour had only worked there for two years, whereas in other distilleries we have visited the wealth of experience and knowledge is vast, as the tour guides are also involved in the production, and have been for alot of years. The cafe was nice, Nottingham particularly cheap, and the whole place has that cotswold aesthetic, where you know nothing is going to be particularly good value for money! Enjoyable day all in all.

Excellent tour guided by Monty. This was myy third time visiting the brewery. The tour lasts around two hours including a thorough tasting session. I particularly enjoyed the "theatrical show" Monty put on for us 😉 and the mechanical power transmission gear in the brewery. Much recommended.

Lovely birthday trip to the Cotswold Distillery. We had a tour with Kevin who was a great guide. We've been to a lot of distilleries in Scotland and didn't really know what to expect here. We were happily surprised by this one, much smaller than others we've been to, but every bit as good.

They produce whisky, gin & rum so you don't necessarily have to be a whisky fan. After the tour you get tastings, initially I thought it was just going to be 1 whisky & 1 gin but I was wrong... we got to try almost all of their different drams and they were lovely.

Driving? You'll get a soft drink during the tastings and get to choose a load of samples to take home!

Cafe also deserves a mention, had some great vegan options, sourdough pizza was delicious.

Finally, we got a 2 for 1 offer from their website, so two of us got the tour for £25, bargain!

After recommendations from friends and having enjoyed Cotswold dry gin for several years. We decided to book a tour and tasting experience.
We had a warm welcome from our guide Suzie who was extremely knowledgeable and explained the whole process very clearly. While her friendly approach and great sense of humour kept us engaged the whole time. Suzie is a real credit to the the company.
After the tour we got to taste all the gins and whiskeys and was really impressed in how much we were given.
Been more of a dry gin fan it gave me an opportunity to experience drinks I would not normally try. As a result my cabinet now has a much wider range. Such as 1616 barrel aged malt based gin. No 3 Wildflower gin and Old Tom gin. All of which were my personnel favourites to try.
My partner loved the cream liqueur which she much preferred to similar more well known brands.
Anyone driving was given a bag full of shots to take home with them so they did not miss out.
We decided to stay for some lunch and the food was great. So there is no need to leave straight after the tour.
Overall I really recommend booking a tour as you were learn a lot while enjoying some wonderful drinks in a lovely setting.

Had a visit arranged as a present from my daughters. I was impressed by the premises and the friendliness of the staff, with a lovely café available whilst waiting for our tour to start. Out guide was a very pleasant and knowledgeable person, who was able to give a clear insight into the production of gin and whisky. after the tour came the tasting experience, it was easy to see why they said that someone should be there to drive you home, there seemed to be no limit to the number of samples of both gin and whisky that you could sample. I will admit that the samples were all excellent and in particular the whisky was in my opinion a lot better than some of the better known Scotch brands. All in All, I had a wonderful visit, and would recommend it to anyone. Thank you Cotswold Distillery.

I booked this for my dad's birthday a little apprehensive with what they had to offer basing it on a hen do when i went to Dublin to the guiness tour. Well this experience was above and beyond. Darren was so informative and added alot of humour whilst talking about the different topics. The tour also includes a wide variety of tasting so definitely worth the money!

Thankyou so much Darren, we will be back again you made my dad's birthday!!!

This experience was most enjoyable from start to finish. It was a birthday present and the staff made you feel most welcome. We sampled the Cafe to begin with and the food tasty and very nicely presented. Our tour guide Nicola was a delight and very informative. The tour was most interesting followed by a very good tasting! The goodie bag provided for the drivers was well worth it! Deanne in the shop was again most helpful with our purchases fro the nice shop. A first class day out and great staff there too!

Had a lovely time doing the tour, I can see why it’s the Cotswolds main attraction. Great value for money with it only being £25 with the tasting session included which is worth £25 alone.

Had Darren as our tour guide and he was extremely knowledgeable and funny.

Defo worth coming if you are down here.

Good friend of ours had a gift of a trip around the distillery so got myself & my wife tickets. We arrived earlier to have a spot of lunch in the cafe as our tour was not until 1.30pm. The cafe was very good the food excellent & a reasonable price. The tour itself was excellent a little film show first giving the history then the tour itself There was also a new whisky distillery building as well as the gin distillery both very interesting. Afterwards it was back to the tasting room very impressive my wife likes Gin & I whisky & you get to try all the different types. Our friend was driving so the distillery packed a selection of samples to take home which I have not seen before an excellent idea. My Daughter & partner are visiting from Australia later in the year, & it will definitely be a visit here for them
