About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Cat O0 contributionsSydney tourAnita was knowledgeable and very flexible in meeting my specific interests. She showed me many highlights in Sydney and also took me to a local waterfront restaurant in Watsons Bay. We went at my pace and I felt like I was with a friend showing me her city.Written 30 November 2024
- ceciletrips0 contributionsSydney on footJohn was a terrific host. The weather got in the way of his being able to show us all he wished to share, but what we did get to experience was fine.Written 29 November 2024
- 791joannt0 contributionsFar exceeded our (high) expectations!Ania was fantastic! We scheduled a 3 hour walking tour of Sydney with her. She asked us to complete a questionnaire that outlines our interests and what we would like to see while visiting the city. We completed the questionnaire and she planned our tour based on that information. Ania showed up at our hotel on time and fully prepared. She gave us an overview of the city on a map and outlined what she had planned for us. She asked us if we had any limitations with regard to walking, told us what the terrain would be like, and gave us an estimate of how far we'd walk. We asked her to make a couple of changes to the itinerary, which she readily and ably did. It didn't take us long to conclude that Ania was the right person and that she NAILED exactly what we wanted to see while in Sydney. Not only were the sites interesting, but she explained the history behind the sites. She explained history in a way I've never had history explained to me before. As she talked, we felt like we had personally experienced the historical events and were led to the place in which we were standing. It was a fantastic tour! If you are able to get on her schedule, we highly, highly recommend her with no hesitation.Written 30 October 2024

- rickdaniels19520 contributionsVery informative - great introduction to Sydney. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Malcolm. It was informative, and very helpful in orienting ourselves in Sydney for the rest of our visit. Also, being in our 70's, we appreciated Malcolm pacing the tour at a comfortable speed. Money sell spent.Written 4 October 2024
- 684blairl0 contributionsA Great Local Experience in SydneyPeter is an excellent guide. His friendly demeanor, his knowledge of the city, state, and country is exceptional. He personalized the tour for us and allowed us to experience more of Sydney than expected. We now have fantastic memories of our day in Sydney with Peter, and ideas for how to make the most of our additional time here. We highly recommend Peter to all Sydney visitors! - andrewj6470 contributionsGreat tour of SydneyOur tour in Sydney was great! Our guide, John, helped us to navigate the public transportation system and took us to all the places we discussed prior to arriving. He listened to what we were interested in and tailored the tour to our interests. We really enjoyed seeing the city from a local's perspective.Written 15 April 2024
- Robin W0 contributionsOne day in Sydney. We flew to Sydney for a one day tour. It was very important to us to have a guide that was very organized and could create a day that would incorporate as much of what we wanted to cover with our guides expertise and coordination. I had provided all our flight info and needed to be sure we planned accordingly. We walked overall about 10 miles and were able to walk the bridge, walk around the Opra house and get some beautiful pics. Took the trains and buses to Bondi beach. Wanted to experience that. Went to the Australian wildlife sanctuary . Was ok, wish we had gone to the larger zoo in retrospect. Our guide wasn’t as organized as we expected and the tour and agenda could have been preplanned better keeping in mind our travel parameters.Written 7 March 2024
- Freedom310919853670 contributionsSuperMy wife and I participated in the 8 hour walking tour of Sydney, which included a ferry trip to Manly Beach. We visited all the places on the pre-arranged list, and then some. Peter was terrific (and quite entertaining). He has deep knowledge of the city and its history, and pointed out sights that most tourists would miss. He also helped us identify other places to visit if we had time on subsequent days in Sydney. To top things off, Peter led us to a pub where we had a wonderful dinner. We highly recommended City Unscripted (and Peter).Written 30 January 2024

- elainedA3914QG0 contributionsGreat four hours.Malcolm was a great guide. Four hours in Sydney and he covered SO much ground. Was well versed in history, architecture, flora and fauna, government, etc and, because he is a traveler himself, he had great points of reference for comparison. Lovely time with him. Would definitely recommend him.Written 1 January 2024

Walked along Enmore Road and King Street exploring cafes & restaurants. Yet the most impressive store are actually the used clothes store SWOP on Enmore with major designer brands. Almost bought a nice Ferragamo jacket but it’s way TOO big for me. Shame. There are a number of record stores music lovers must go. Also has a lot of vintage shops. And can spend a day there treasure hunting
As for the graffiti or wall arts, you really have to look for it at they are scattered around in the area

My son moved to Enmore, so I had a good look for a few days and enjoyed the hip and buzzing area.
Lots of local small coffee shops, small international eateries from Mexican, Japanese, Vietnamese, Australian etcc. Lovely new and vintage look shops. Walk slowly as lots to take in. Street art in abundance and for the travellers on the go. Laundromats, sewing repair , iPhone iPad repair .. it’s all there. Just go to Enmore and Newtown. Newtown has a metro going right into the hub of the CBD, museums, town hall and ferries .
