      Unforgettable adventure
The zip lining was amazing. The staff are efficient, knowledgeable, and very helpful. The experience of seeing Monteverde from the tree tops was transforming. We also toured the Butterfly space with a terrific guide, who educated us about these magical creatures. An unforgettable day.

      Fantastic experience
This was so fun, so interesting and very well organized. The weather was great and we took our time and having the bridges go right through the trees was incredible

Zip-Lining, Hanging Bridges, and Sloths all in one place!
We were picked up on time from our hotel. Upon arrival, we checked in and added the photo package. It’s $20 per person or $55 for a family of 3 and includes a locker rental. The pictures were taken at the first and second zip line. I wish they were taken a little later when we had a better idea of what we were doing. The staff was super friendly, conversational, and went out of their way to make it a personalized experience. We felt safe in the harnesses, and they made sure everything was fitted properly before each zip line. The scenery was beautiful. It felt like we were flyover over or through the rain forest. The tour package we bought included the sloth sanctuary and hanging bridges. The sloth sanctuary had 13 (?) sloths and a nice variety of butterflies. It had a timed entry (show up whenever you want) of 15 minutes past each hour. We didn’t feel rushed at all. The sloths were very active and the guide knew all their names and stories. You can enter the hanging bridges whenever you like. The trails are done at your own pace. It takes about 1 ½ to 2 hours to complete. We went without a guide and only saw a few animals, but the rainforest views were stunning. There is a bit of climbing and descending on the paved trails. We enjoyed our day here very much. The return transportation had limited scheduled times and ran every 1 ½ to 2 hours. The only thing I’d change is I’d drive up and park next time so I don’t have to wait so long for a ride back to my hotel. We left our hotel at 8am. With the three activities, we were on the 3pm transportation back into Monteverde. We really enjoyed our experience here. It was the first time we ever did zip-lining. It was a lot of fun and we really enjoyed our day.

      Do the Superman!
This was the best ziplining experience I have ever had. Even though our group had 30 people, they are very safe and organized and have it down to a very smooth system with little to no wait time between cables. The rides are high, fast, and long through the canopy. The Super Man cable was the highlight - you literally feel like you are flying over the treetops. The Tarzan swing was a thrill. We had an 8:30 zipline tour, so we arrived at the park at 7:00 a.m. and did the Hanging Bridges - just enough time to complete it before the zipline and we had the hanging bridges all to ourselves. By the time we finished our zipline, there were a lot of people doing the hanging bridges so we were glad we got up early.

      A disappointment
We visited the sloth park and were extremely disappointed. They put us in a group of about 50 people and 1 guide. The guide appeared bored. He gave us information, we all crowded around 1 sloth and then moved on to the next sloth. At the end of 40 minutes, he said we had to leave and that was it. No time to walk around on your own. Sloths are in an enclosed building and that is it.

      Well Run and Exciting!
This is a well run zipline operation. The guides sometimes seemed a little too busy.....getting someone off of one line while simultaneously preparing a rider for the next zipline. The last zipline is a great ride. We also did the Diamante zipline a couple of weeks ago. The Diamante is a little more exciting and faster but the scnery at Selvatura is better.

      Pleasant but not Thrilling
This hike is not too difficult. The bridges are pretty solid. There were some interesting views. There was not much wildlife. We saw a hummingbird and a coati. Compared with our other hikes this was a bit disappointing. Nice way to spend an hour or two.

      Overpriced
We did not see a lot of wildlife, the zipping was terrific, the sloth exhibit was the best opportunity to see the 2 toed sloths up close, and while it was my favorite part, I was highly disappointed that you only got 20 min inside. We saw more wildlife at our bed and breakfast.

Over priced and totally underwhelming. Avoid!
An expensive 'tour' conducted by a guide who wanted to be anywhere else and gave very generalised information most 7 year olds would possess. The building itself was somewhat dilapidated and the containers holding the specimens appeared to have been built and last cleaned in the 1970s. Very poor value for money. A rip off. And the same can be said for the butterfly house.

      Energy rush!
The staff were incredibly helpful and organized. It was my son's first time (12 years old) and they did the first few ziplines with him until he was comfortable. The views from the canopy were impeccable! And I did the Tarzan swing at the end that was also exhilarating. Highly recommend this place for your travels. Gary

      Cool zipline experience
The zipline tour was super fun. The guides are friendly, funny and very helpful. The views are amazing, and you can go 2 (of the 13) ziplines together with your friend/family member which was super fun to do!

      Should not be missed.
AWESOME! One of the highlights of our family trip. My husband and I were traveling with two college age kids. The Canopy/ zipline tour was exceptional. Our group of about 20 were escorted by about 8 staff who saw to our equipment and to our safety as we covered the course. It ran smoothly. We were blessed with a beautiful day and views forever across the jungle as we slide up to about a half mile across the canopy. This was my second time zip lining and the experience will ruin you for all future experiences. It was exhilarating, but also peaceful and beautiful. If you have been to Disney, this is Soar'n in reality. Recommend to anyone who is comfortable hiking for about 30-40 minutes in the Costa Rican jungle on managed trails. While the distance between lines was short, there were many which created a need to walk a bit. I'd recommend this are a priority experience for most travelers to the area.

      Bridges, butterflies, sloths
We booked the hanging bridges, butterfly garden, and sloth habitat. The canopy views from the hanging bridges were neat. We saw howler monkeys, a bright colored slug and millipede, and lots of flora and fauna. Our tour guide Guillermo led us through the butterfly garden and sloth habitat. He was incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and friendly. Overall, we had a wonderful experience!

A beautiful private reserve run by kind and careful professionals.

We did both the thrilling zip line and the bridges tours - and loved every minute.

Nature lovers might take hours to get through the hikes - so much to see from the tiniest orchids to the largest ferns.

The bridges tour especially would appeal to bird-watchers; so many opportunities to see beautiful and rare species.

Go early: the park got busier midday, and it seems like the likelihood of rain increases as the day unfolds.

It is not worth taking the suspension bridges tour, very boring, you do not see animals, it is not worth it. The canopy (zip line) tours look better. Avoid the restaurant to eat, the food is mediocre and the service is bad. They have good drinks if you want to have something before or after but in short the place is very expensive for what it is.

We spent the morning with our 2 children 7 and 10 years old. They enjoyed it! A shuttle picks you up from your hotel (the road is bad and I think they also want to avoid congestion / want to smooth the passages ) / it is the reception that organizes this when they ask you what activity you have booked / it is included in the price / 25 minutes of minibus from the center of Monteverde. Then don’t worry about the queue to show the tickets and get equipped: it goes fast.
Once equipped, you still have to take a mini van for 4 minutes drive to get up to the zip lines. 5 minutes of walking, 5 minutes of explanations then it went for 16 zip lines / when I saw the world at the start, I really thought it would last forever between two zip lines: not at all!
It is extremely fluid and professional! They take care of everything and hook you very quickly to each zip line, they guide everything. You just have to enjoy the view with each zip line! Personally, we were in the fog and rain but still enjoyed going over the trees! Something magical! You can also make the jump from Tarzan, a rope jump in the void / some ($13 extra) can do the last zip line (1km) lying on the stomach - superman / it has to be said at the beginning.

Monte verde and its nature it’s great but this park in particular is like a FACTORY! Made to explore people and animals!
We were charged 180 dollars for a complete history tour for about 2 or more hours and after 50min we were rushed into the bus! People coming and going, like factory and making a group of business people to earn quick and easy money! I absolute do not recommend. At the shop, a simple jacket that cost 30-45 dollars, they are trying to sell for almost 100.
I sent an email to Juan Pablo Barquero who is at complaint department and he sent me a pro forma copy-paste response, not responding exactly to what I said.

When we arrived in Costa Rica we said that for no reason we would do the night walk with wildlife, thanks to that we changed our mind, today I can say that it was one of the best experiences in Costa Rica. Entering the habitat of animals and insects, without disturbing them, and getting to know them in that way is very rewarding and an unparalleled experience. The experience of the guide and his clear instructions are essential to enjoy the experience and feel confident in the tour. I definitely recommend it.

When I read the description I thought we would get a guided tour through the rainforest, crossing bridges, with some degree of educational aspect thru the guide.

The rainforest was via a brick path (never touched forest floor) that led from one bridge to the next, of which there were 8 in total. No guide to explain anything! No signs either! Didn’t see one critter or insect for that matter. And no idea about any of the flora/fauna species or history of rain forest. Walk took about 1.5 hours.

The only guided tour was through the butterfly exhibit which was quite good but brief. And apparently you are free to enter it anytime you like without a guide.

    Lunch was ok.

Not worth the money in my opinion. Perhaps better just to show up and pay entrance fee if you want that kind of thing. Although not many places to eat along the way- so pack a lunch.

We drove about 3 hours each way from Arenal via some pretty rough ‘dried river bed’ type roads to get there, getting a flat tire to boot! So add another $100 to this for a new tire!

And if you want to see critters, birds, etc., suggest you go on your tour at 7am when animals are active and very few tourists.

We saw tons more creatures just driving in Arenal area - lots of sloths, coati, etc.

Waste of time and money - Arenal has plenty of rain forest, bridges and more. But If you are in Monteverdi area I’m sure you can do better than this extremely expensive and disappointing ‘tour’.

We visited Selvatura Park with our two teenagers and had a fantastic time. The canopy tour was so thrilling and the guides were so helpful with some of the kids in the group that were a bit hesitant. They talked to them and even went with the ones that needed a little coaching to make it through. The Tarzan Swing was a fun experience, especially when my daughter left the platform and the guides were yelling WAIT...WAIT...as a joke. The look on her face was simply priceless.
The hike through the forest, over the many hanging bridges, was simply breathtaking. It was so beautiful and we saw snakes, birds, monkeys and so much more throughout the hike. When you see the zipliners soaring above you, it was amazing how high up we were doing them.
We also took a tour of the snakes and frogs exhibit and were fascinated by the numerous snakes they have in Costa Rica. The hummingbird gardens were also enjoyable as there were so many birds all over the place.
Overall, Selvatura Park was an amazing experience for our family and I would highly recommend it to those looking for some adventure and those wanting some gorgeous views.

Exceptional day out, even in the rain. Myself and 9 year old daughter had a great time in the zip lines. Followed by hot chocolate and cake. We then did the sloth sanctuary, buttery sanctuary and reptile house. Followed by delicious lunch. Before completing the 3km hanging bridges walk

We did the bridge walk with a naturalist guide who did the tour in English. We saw 400% more animals than we would have without the guide and loved the bridges. We had an age span of 4 to 74.

In a day we did the hike, canopy tour, lunch, and sloth exhibit. We were the first shuttle in and last out. Loved it.
