    An interesting exploration
Interesting place to explore, with street after street of shops selling everything you can imagine, but mainly clothes/cloth and gold. I particularly enjoyed walking around the gold souq building. The Bab El-Bahrain gate being the highlight and start /end of my route. Well worth a look around.

Great to be immersed in the traditional side of Bahrain
Four months since my last walk round and this time it was bustling with life. Great to see the different local products on sale and to see Manama life at its purest. Definitely worth a visit. I’ll be back!

    A “ Must” visit
Interesting and genuine Arabic souk. The entrance is newly built and there are plenty of Beautiful ethnic shops. If you continue your way , you’ll find everything from variety of gold shops to the shops selling Chinese products. The gold is good, high karat, but do not forget to bargain.

Bab Al-Bahrain marks the main entrance to the Manama souk. There are many shops that sell jewelry, clothing, luggage, furniture, antiques and souvenirs. Little India is hidden gem and an important landmark that honors the Indian community for contributing to Bahrain over the years.

This is a market hrere in Manama where one can purchase a lot of stuffs: gold jewelries, spices, clothings, bags and luggages, etc. Vendors are welcoming, not aggressive like those in Morocco.

Two other attractions are located here: the Gate and the Shri Krishna Shrine. For the latter, my driver/guide had to ask for directions to visit it inside the narrow street of the souq.

Just fake, bad ripoff of some original souks. On top of this it’s just one street only with a lot of Indian hardware shops around it and more garbage

We had a pleasant morning strolling around the souk. Stall holders were keen to stop potential tourist customers but were friendly. Prices are inflated so haggle hard!

Finding the place is easy but finding a parking is not, we had to park the car far and walk a distance to reach the place, but once you reach you will forget the difficulty of finding a parking, the place is amazing, small shops offering almost everything you just have to bargain.

A somewhat traditional Mideast souq in the modern sense. Great for old jewelry and nick-nacks, gold, and contemporary local-made souvenirs. The further into the souq you go, the more sectional it gets.

It is a traditional souq where you can get almost everything you want. There are snack outlets, traditional souvenir shops and some modern stores as well. The street is very narrow and constantly clogged with vehicles. Watch your step as you navigate the high but narrow pedestrian paths..
