The Tama River is popular for Little League baseball teams who practice there, a biking trail, and, seemingly the demarcation point separating Tokyo from Yokohama. It is not especially beautiful, a pleasant but pain ole river.
Walking Tokyo side of Tama river will be one of good experience.
You can enjoy the nature otherwise you are in urbun area.
There are some restrooms or parks near along the river, so you can slso take rests.
