Outstanding hotel! Amazing sunset view! Hotel service is very good, not so close to downtown but the sea view compensate everything.

Located in Punta Ballena (less than two hours from Montevideo and a short ride to Punta del Este), this was the home of Uruguyan artist Carlos Paez Vilaro. This eye-catching structure is now a modern art museum filled with the late artist work. (Died in...More

Loved learning about the artist, his wonderful travels, his artwork and his vision. Besides the visual feast, the movie introduced us to a truly exceptional artist who lived his passion.

We had lunch and the view is amazing. Prices are OK. The best time of the day to go is after 5 o’clock- to watch the sunset. Be aware that this place is not open throughout the year- in winter is closed.
