Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The waves are strong but once you pass the place where they break out you can just lie on top of the waves and let yourself go for hours.

Arena Gorda beach in Punta Cana is great. Soft white powder sand & warm sea when I visited in October 2019. I would recommend this 100%.

Clean beach and sand was easy on your feet. No seaweed in the water and water was warm enough. Swimming was good as the waves were not high and the sea was calm.
Lots to see as you walk on the beach and nice activities, volley ball etc. Really nice beach for a long walk and the sand was soft to the feet.

What a fantastic beach but Mother Nature is having her say at the moment. Every morning you are greeted with tonnes of seaweed deposited on the beech.
Depending where you are on the beach you have anything from a band 6 feet deep up to 20 feet all along the beach.
What I find most interesting is the hotels attitude to clearing the seaweed for their customers, we have seen everything from a JCB clearing the beach, digging a hole then burying the seaweed before levelling to some hotels doing nothing meaning holidaymakers having to cross up to 20 feet of seaweed to get into the sea.
Inbetween are the manual efforts of hotel employed gardeners raking up seaweed then bagging it, raking it up then forking into a JCB bucket to take away or being forked into wheelbarrows to be dumped into holes manually dug.
To those walking the beach their hard work is appreciated, it’s a shame some hotels don’t give a damn

This part of beautiful sand beach was our most valuable summerbeach ever. It was cleaned thoroughly day by day. And it was not depend of the weather, but this beach is so great as right now as well.

Beautiful clear blue sea. A little rocky in parts but easy to find a part without. Plenty of sunbeds. Usual beach sellers around but in the 10 days we were there I can honestly say none of them pestered us. They were all very polite and just said hello as they were passing. We left our belongings at the beach when we went for a walk and it was always safe. Water is lovely and clean and not too cold. Would love to go back again.

Buenas tardes.
Estamos viajando a Luxury Bahía Principe Esmeralda a mediados de agosto.
Quisiéramos saber en que estado está la playa. Si se puede disfrutar o hay muchas algas y es preferible cambiar a otro destino con playas más limpias.
Muchas gracias,
