Interesting story of house. Helpful guides answered all our questions. The garden looked beautiful though it was too wet to spend much time in it.

Fascinating view of life as once lived both above and below stairs. The history of the building is interesting enough but the stories of its' quirky industrialist owner even more so. An OCD suffering martinet who even so looked after his staff.

Nice house with some different styles with unfussy, well laid out garden. Some parts of the house have been added on over the years which means there are some access issues for people with mobility issues.

Decided to go here as we are national trust members. Was pleasantly surprised and the tour was very interesting which is included. There were two tour guides who both had interesting stories to tell.

Yes I think there are separate cellar tours as there are roof top tours. We did the roof top tour - think it was £4 each but worth every penny, so interesting.
