Inch Abbey is only about 20 minutes from another Games of Thrones filming site making it an easy stop in the same Downpatrick area. Inch Abbey was quite a beautiful ruin for pictures rain for shine!

We visited Inch Abbey as part of our Game of Thrones tour. I love visiting sites where there are old ruins such as this. They are so beautiful!

This is a fascinating place to drop in on but make sure you swot up a little bit on Irish history before you do so.....to do so makes things a lot clearer otherwise you could be viewing some interesting old ruins without knowing what they...More

Inch Abbey is a 12th & 13th century Abbey, set on the banks of the river Quoile. It is a stunningly beautiful setting, made more famous as the scene where Robb Stark celebrated victory, with his army, after the 'Battle of the Whispering Wood'. It...More

Nice for a 5 minute visit if you are a game of thrones fan. Small car park so if you time it wrong and there is a GoT tour bus in the car park you might find it a squeeze. The road in is also...More

We swung by for a stop after our visit to Castle Ward ... it's next to an interesting cemetary. A nice stop.

Apart from the obvious Game of Thrones connection, the abbey is a fabulous place to visit for its ruins and views. (It’s also fun watching grown ups play with swords and capes!)

We visited this beautiful site with our tour guide from Winterfell Tours. It was an amazing day. This is a must do when visiting Belfast.

The ruins of this ancient abbey are lovely, the only downside it the busloads of GOT fans running around in fur-lined capes, with swords and axes. Trying to enjoy the place or get a picture without people play-acting being Starks or Lannisters, is a bit...More

If you follow the signpost down the little road, there is a carpark at the graveyard just beside the abbey
