The trail from near the hotel goes to the Fairy Pools but a branch to the left takes you up into the Black Cullin mountains. You can climb up to a saddle for great views including the Executioner.

The whole of Skye and, in fact, most of Scotland is one big photo of spectacular scenery, so my title might not be helpful. We experienced the Black Cullins at both the Faery Pools and down a one-track drive thru the Sleat Peninsula, where the...More

The black Cuillin are the toughest mountains in the UK. Each one is a climb from sea level to 3000 ft. They are much harder than the Lake District but if you research the walks first and go well prepared (Map, Good Footwear, Waterproof etc....More

In good weather we walked to Sgurr Dearg, one mountain of the Cuillin ridge. The hard way up was partly on a field scree which slowered us down. The views from above were spectacular. We really enjoyed it.

Had a wonderful family trip to the Cuillin Mountains, amazing scenery and great trip out on 'the Misty Isle'. Shame some families don't think about others visiting. We had a group near us frolicking about in the loch, kids shouting and screaming - voices carry...More

What a beautiful place! We were on the lookout for Hairy Cows. We didn’t find any on Isle of Sky but the views were worth it.

Nature at its imperious best. Black and Brooding, ominous. Spectacular from every angle. The views from Sea Level come with a Hazardous to Health warning.... you're going to get a stiff neck looking up.😃 Genuinely...not for the inexperienced.

If your driving around Skye you get to see this mountain range from all angles, in all weather conditions, we got snow capped tops and glorious sunshine. Plenty of opportunities to get photos, best location is at Sligachan near old packhorse bridge
