The main reason for visiting this square is to see the 'Yellow Cafe', made famous by Van Gogh. There are a number of restaurants nearby, but of course everyone wants to stand where Van Gogh stood to paint the scene

The square where Van Gogh made one of his most famous pictures, other than that this place has nothing else. If Van Gogh not made a picture of it even would not be so famous

We love all of the outside restaurants set up in the plaza. So many people to watch and so many good selections of food to choose from! In the evenings there is also live music to listen to; making this a very enjoyable place to...More

The whole of this area was full of people eating and drinking during La Feria. The atmosphere was brilliant. Late in the evening people were dancing to the many brass bands on nearly every corner, even in very narrow streets. It was like a big...More

Time of course changes everything and I do believe it was a lot less impacted last time I was here. Too many tables and service area sort of took away the charm for me.

This is a pretty little square with loads of history. Unfortunately it is completely covered by restaurants. If you are there after early morning, it's wall-to-wall people either sitting al fresco or in tour groups.

In May 2018, I took myself on a trip to Arles, Paris and Giverney, loosely seeking out sites where Van Gogh and Monet lived. In Arles, there is very little left of identifiable places he might have seen, but the Place du Forum is one...More

Surrounded by restaurants, this is a nice place to relax while touring. The Yellow Cafe was closed for the season, which was probably a good thing since we were told it is terrible.

You will want to sit in one of the cafes (except the garish yellow one). Enjoy some wine, or a beer. Maybe some food (the Italian pizza is very good). And people watch. Don’t know how many locals frequent this area, but all of the...More
