I wouldn’t have known what it represented but we were on a guided tour and our guide explained it. If you like your history do make sure you take time to look at it.

The mosaic is made from tiles and shows a series of Saxony rulers. It currently has a small scaffolding blocking the very end.

We were sorry that we were just passing through Dresden (15 year old son and myself)- but the one thing we made sure to see was this immense mural. We used our guidebook to understand it but if we ever return to Dresden my son...More

Having visited the Meissen factory you really appreciate the work that has gone into the mural, and the individually painted tiles. Amazing artwork.

A beautifully preserved piece of artwork accessible to all right in the centre of Dresden. We just came across it and enjoyed admiring the artwork as well as the craftsmanship.

The craftsmen, architecture and masonry work of yesteryears cannot be reproduced today. Imagine destroying much of Dresden in WW2 and rebuilding to the previous quality is unimaginable. How did they do it? This wall is a work of art for generations to enjoy and cherish....More

The Procession of Princes, is a large magnificent mural of a mounted procession of the rulers of Saxony. The mural displays the portraits of the rulers of Saxony of the House of Wetten, electors, dukes and kings between 1127 and 1904. Equally impressive is the...More

This giant mural needs time and a small translation, full of adverbs and adjectives. Impressive in size and colour, full of drawings.

We were completely unprepared when we first saw it. At first it looked like a stenciled mural, but at close up it showed to be a long stretch (102m or 334ft) of porcelain tiles. About 23.000 Meissen porcelain tiles, I read later, placed here between...More

If you love the history of Saxony and their "Fuersten" , here is the must. Older ones stood there for minutes to admire the details of this mural. Young people found inspiration for photo's posture. Not so crowded as expected. And there are three not...More

They're not very big, probably 30x30cm. The tiles are a yellow/beige colour with a geometric pattern on them and the artwork of the Princes is over the top. They're about the size of the tiles that you might see clad on the... More

Don't get too excited over this mural. It's interesting ... apparently you can see the development of horse breeding through the ages ... and there are the ex stables behind it. However, it's just a wall with ceramic tiles... More
