Of all the Chinatowns in the world, Sydney’s is arguably the cleanest l have ever seen. Great eats and other shops as well!

We visited for the Friday night market and it was a nice spectacle to see. Various vendors operating their booths and a nice selection of street eats are sure to delight.

The Chinatown probably does not look a lot like it was 50 years ago, but the defining character: an incredible concentration of restaurants packed in a little area, crowded with Aussie or tourist Chinese people.

We visited on February 1st which was the first day of the Lunar New Year and we walked along the pedestrian area which had stalls themed for the Chinese new year. Maybe we went there too soon. The area was very quiet, dull almost. It...More
