Beautiful spot. Don’t skip it. Lovely boardwalk track along the creek. Picnic area and history of logging on Fraser Island. We saw a sand monitor at the picnic area.

Went here for a visit along bumpy tracks. It is the old logging station and there are many historical buildings and information about its history. From it there are several walks marked. We did the shortest which was along a boardwalk adjacent to the creek....More

What an amazing place, and to think it was a site for tree felling in the old days. There are some relics to see, but what is amazing are the giant staghorns that are growing. Make sure you take the walk into the rainforest and...More

This is a very easy route through the rainforest on Fraser Island- anyone can do it. We were lucky that we got to see a massive python right next to the walking trail!

Excellent walk along Mac Kenzie Lake trail. Really enjoyed walk thru rain forest and well constructed boardwalk. Challenges is to manage the large number of tourist who visit the island. National Parks have there hands full.

Central Station Rainforest is really nice and relaxing. Has a bit of a history about logging and is very interesting. Adds a nice little charm to this beautiful Fraser island.

The old village has gone sadly and so too the railway line that carted the timber out of this area. The rain forest has remained and there is now a pleasant boardwalk along the base of the valley and below the rain forest.
