Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very beautiful part of the island. Definitely worth staying for several days. Lots of beauty to seep and enjoy placidly.

One of our stops on a day Excursion. We had a great time. The beach is stunning and clean. Nice little spots for lunch too. Loved the turtle sanctuary
area. All kept so nice and clean.

The beach is beautiful. What a pity
That this spot has no infrastructure from the turtles hotel or So Beach bar. Slow chaos. Seat yourself find your spot. Move your table to your spot. Chase down the waiter. Order drink. Wait. Drink your drink and wait another hour to see if her reappears.
It’s like camping: although there are big signs out front, saying that it is prohibited to bring in beverages or food, they refuse to serve you any. After two hours we went to a wonderful restaurant down the beach and had a fantastic time.

beautiful beach!
perfect balance (at least, when we went) of waves; fun/safe to swim, perfect for surf beginners (there's a surf school).

One of the most beautiful and pristine beaches I’ve been to. Perfect for families, couples or group of friends looking for a place to relax.

Much too wavy so not safe for bathing or swimming because of the strong undertow. Good for surfing only. End of beach it is calm. Allot of erosion as well and also not a grocery store nearby if staying for awhile ( remember can't drink DR water) and captive to expensive restaurants

Rented a home. Short walk to the beautiful beach. Friendly people, good food and drink.
A lot of housekeepers speak Dominican only, but they were patient and we figured it out. The food was so fresh and delicious. Perfect weather all week. Didn't want to leave, but are going back this year.

My son loved this beach so much he asked to go back a second time while we were at Las Terrenas. He loved the waves (although we do not surf). While we were there the waves were really strong and the flag was hung red, so you have to keep an eye out for the little ones. We park at El Mosquito Hotel and get some drinks and sit on the beach. We also like to take a walk east to a little cove area where the waters are calmer for my younger daughter. The second time we were at Bonita, there were a lot of surfers in the water so it was quite entertaining watching them learn.

Very quaint community. It has all of the things you would expect. It is s tab bit "touristy" and we are more of private people, but the area seems to attract people that want the same so the inhabitants were very docile.
We only stop here on a break for a bigger day the following morning. There is a very cool B&B in the beach that is an old school bus converted to a small apartment. Genius ingenuity. If you are okay with sleeping in the natural elements, it is a very unique experience.

Stunning beach! Quiet, with calm and still water that's different shades of turqouise, and clear all the way down to the bottom!

They are two different beaches.
I love them both, but playa Coson has a "never-ending wild beach", which I absolutely adore.
Stunning for walks ...

Qs?
I see in the pics the restaurant Playa Bonita Kiosko Ramona is right on the beach so there is hot Dominican food available to purchase. 1. Are there other food vendors on the beach?
2. What is the average price for food & drinks on the beach? 3. Are beach chairs available and Is there a price to rent the recliners/chairs?
Hi, my husband and I are looking for a place right on the beach. Could anyone please recommend some places, would prefer a 2 bedroom house but we are flexible. Thanks

We stayed with my sister and her husband at Villa Dorada on Playa Bonita. It was a 5 minute walk to the beach. They are living there until April 15. It is a three bedroom house. It was very nice. It had an outside living area as well as an inside living room.

Bendiciones!!! Dicsulpe la tardanza.

Hi all,
Playa Bonita seems to have both, waves and calm waters. We plan to travel to playa Bonita with a toddler in January/February, currently looking at a place towards to east side of the beach. How is that part? Suitable for playing in the water with the toddler? Thanks a lot!

Yes, towards the east is a little river that flows in and the beach is very calm here.
