Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It's a nice street which has one bar I like to visit when in Gdansk.
One of the only, if not the only building that wasn't flattened on this street during the war.
Even though there are cafes and a few bars, at night they were all closed. Perhaps a winter thing.

This is a very pleasant street that is well worth a visit and walk along. It was raining when we visited but this did not kill the pleasure of visiting.

A beautiful old street that is not only well decorated but usually filled with beautiful flower pots that line the sides. Worth the 15 min walk!

It's beatyful like many streets in the old town of Gdansk. Definately worth a walk there. Especially at times when there are no big crowds.

Mariacha street is located about two or three streets to the right of the main street Dluga Targ, going upwords from the river. You will find several tables selling amber, and a few shops. The best thing is the atmosphere, with tall houses and balkonies with the old gargoyles. The polish word for gargoyle meens "to puke" 😊.

Mariacka Street is in the old town, and is home to a number of scenic independent shops and a few cafes. Worth a visit if you find yourself in Gdansk.

Highly recommended place and categorized as one of the most beautiful streets of Gdansk. Well, be warned that the street is very small, so there is not much to see. You will most likely just take a photo with the church on the background and that is it. There are many shops selling amber and also the coffee shop Drukarnia which is pretty nice. Many tour groups go there just to check it out.

Beautiful street not far from Dluga Street. Lots of picturesque buildings and good cafes/ souvenir shops. Definitely have a walk down when in Gdańsk !

The whole centre of the old city is beautiful and this street is just one of them. When we visited Gdansk in September it was not so full of tourists which we prefer but still there was a lot of them.

I have several friends, who have visited Mariacka St. in years past purchasing various amber jewelry, but interestingly, none of them could remember exactly the the larger or largest, most reputable Amber Retailer's names... Can you assist with a few of the more reputable jewelers in this endeavor? I am specifically looking for Natural Blue Amber Pendant(s).
Thank you!

Would this be a noisy street at night, if we stayed in an apartment here?

I lived in the Old Town for few years. In the summer you can expect some moderate noises at night. Although, there are no pubs, just few cafes, people tend to walk there until late in the night.
In the winter it's a calm place, you can surely choose a room there.
