- BTS1972Munich, Germany3,485 contributionsMix of standard mall and food courtThe ICONSIAM is one of the latest additions to the riverside mall in Bangkok. On ground floor level it hosts a rather touristic "street market" and the standard shops and boutiques in the upper levels. While the shops have all been seen before, street market is worth visiting. Here you can try to feel the street market flavor under rather controlled conditions. While all here is tourist style, the offerings match the ones on the street or night markets. While more expensive, you can try within "controlled" environment. Definitely worth one visit.Visited March 2023Written 19 March 2023
- mfilcol2014Lisbon, Portugal1,018 contributionsNice to eat and strollLarge and modern mall located on the banks of the river. On the ground floor there is an interesting food market with a variety of typical Thai street food. On the other floors there are multiple stores and restaurants..The best thing in the the mall is the balcony with a panoramic view (do not enter through Starbucks. The entrance is a little further away) The view from the balcony is fantastic. Be careful, the mall closes early and the boats end early too The view from the balcony is fantastic. - Heather EEngland, United Kingdom239 contributionsGood rainy day experienceHadn't heard of this place but it was a stop on the Chao Phraya tourist hop on boat. Decided to have lunch there as a break from the temples and was pleasantly surprised. Nice food court with plenty of choice, I had a very spicy thai red curry so I know it caters to locals as well as tourists. It also has a water fountain show in the evenings which is free to enjoy. You could go here and not spend any money in any of the shops but there is still plenty to see.Visited February 2023Written 2 April 2023
- Czar EmmanuelManila, Philippines6,268 contributionsPosh shopping mall in BangkokThis mall, located along the Chao Phraya River, is definitely the most elegant of all the shopping malls in Bangkok. It's got an impressive architectural design, well-thought out floor plans, hundreds of signature shops, lovely restaurants, an amazing indoor fountain, lots of entertainment venues, and so forth. To reach the place, take a free boat ride from Sathorn Pier. With all its amenities, you can practically spend the whole day in it!Visited April 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 12 April 2023
- david chiuToronto, Canada43 contributionsA huge modern, high end n prestigious shopping n entertaining complexThis is probably the most prestigious high end shopping complex n tourist n entertainment spot in Bangkok. Most well known brand names like LV, Dior, Chanel, ………. etc. can be found here. Food variety is plentiful and on the basement floor, one can find hundreds of food stalls and the mini scale water markets for photo shooting. Very entertaining. Of course, there are also many upscale restaurants on higher floors for a more formal setup. Outside along the river, there are shows like water fountain show n performances n u can check out the schedule. There are also free boat shuttle from Sathorn Pier and for a small fee (Baht 20-40) from other piers as well like Grand Palace or Wat Arun. This is a place one can easily spend a day here. Many five stars hotel around like Millenium Hilton is just next door or the Peninsula, or opposite the river, the Bangkok Mandarin Oriental, Sheraton. This mall is huge in size as well. The new Terminal 21 Rama 3, which is famous for its decorations, probably is just one quarter the size of IconSiam. If one visited the IconSiam first, the other malls will not be of any interest.Visited April 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 19 April 2023
- M.C.RoseKent, United Kingdom627 contributionsThe newest shopping centre in BangkokSaw this shopping centre from the river so went by the next day. It is huge and caters for all wallets. There is a lovely Jim Thompson shop which is worth a visit. Plenty happening on the waterfront to amuse children. We didn’t spend long but it looks a good place to wander especially if raining!Visited March 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 23 April 2023
- Nancy Y4 contributionsGood clean food courtI did not do any retail shopping here. I only went to the food court. The food court is well worth it. Many varieties of Thai food and they’re clean. I highly recommend coming to this food court because it’s lean compared to the street food. You pay a little extra but it’s well worth it.Visited May 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 11 May 2023
- EllaOcoQuezon City, Philippines222 contributionsRetail therapy at its bestWe stayed at the Peninsula BKK and you can easily take the ferry or simply walk to IcaonSiam. We had a blast shopping here. We even got a mid-sized Delsey luggage at 70% off. I also got real pearl earrings, among other things we shopped for. The food court was crowded but alright. The massage area was just inside the food court. Tuk tuks are right outside the mall so it is fairly easy in and easy out.Visited February 2023Written 6 June 2023
- dontravgavMission, Canada66 contributionsA patterned waterfallThis is a new mall on the river so it has easy access. There are several floors with a variety of medium to high-end goods, including a floor with a huge variety of foods & restaurants. The whole mall was tastefully decorated with traditional Thai themes, lighting & water features. There was a 2-3 storey high waterfall which fell in computer-generated patterns. Amazing. The Napalai Terrace provides a 180 deg. view of the Bangkok skyline which is great for pics.Visited May 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 9 June 2023
- Yu S6 contributionsHappy day in IconsiamIt’s a huge mall. The ground floor is with a mixture of boat village and a typical Thai market that give very good shopping and sightseeing experiences. They also have top brands shops and the 5/f and 6/f are for kids. The Napalai terrace on 7/F have a very nice view. It’s definitely good for spending a day there especially for a family. If time is enough, can wait to see the fountain show at the entrance outside.Visited June 2023Travelled with familyWritten 21 June 2023

This is no ordinary mall!!! It’s the best of the BEST… amazing finds and the absolute BEST Market I’ve ever seen!!! Wide range of things to buy price wise, and plenty of entertainment by the gorgeous riverfront. I would come back to Bangkok just for this mall.

Another upscale shopping venue in Bangkok, Iconsiam spirals upward with hundreds of high-end shops and an open floorplan plus the indoor floating market. Prices are as expected, while access is slightly easier than competitors thanks to the riverside location.

Comfortable seating with stunning views of the Chao Phraya River creates the perfect ambiance to unwind and soak in the pre-show atmosphere. The Outdoor Deck is the perfect spot to unwind and prepare for the mesmerizing Multimedia Water Feature Show.
On certain nights, the venue comes alive with live music performances, adding another layer of entertainment to your pre-show experience.

Among the various shopping malls I have explored, ICONSIAM stands out as my favorite. Arriving at the mall by ferry, you will find yourself greeted by a captivating water fountain and dragon-shaped decorations, especially vibrant now with Lunar New Year approaching.
The mall boasts an extensive array of brands and an abundance of food choices. What I find particularly enchanting about ICONSIAM is its sky-view deck, conveniently located outside Starbucks, offering a breathtaking skyline of Bangkok

One of our suitcases didn’t make it and we had to go shopping!! Otherwise that would have been the last thing we needed. This is a fantastic mall of beautiful stores ranging from High end to middle. We went to Jim Thompson and Forever 21 & found some deals! To top it off we found an incredible restaurant that served a speciality of lotus leaves 🪷 and fantastic Tom Kha. The food is great 😊 and super way to start our trip. The mall was decorated for the holidays and was fun and festive! Highly recommend going to see and explore this center.
Tip: go by boat!!

A world-class mall architecturally stunning, shops are mostly high end, too expensive for my pocket but nice to see. Helps that they have the souk downstairs where food can be purchased at more affordable prices. Restaurants on main floors are beautiful but very pricey. Was alot to take in but really enjoyed the grandness n people watching. As it was Dec, there were nights of live entertainment for free which was really amazing but also super busy with the night cruise passengers as well. Never seen anything like this in my life

I'm pretty sure I've seen dogs on their owners' laps. I saw people with dogs in several shopping centers, it seems to me that it is an accepted practice in Thailand. At the Samui Center (Koh Samui) there are even cars at the entrance to transport pets inside.
I want to go from ICONSIAM to ASIATIQUE. How much is it charge for the ferry by today? And how to take the ferry?

How do you get to iconsiam from on nut?

Singapore, Singapore25 contributions
It's really easy. Take the BTS (train) from On Nut to Siam (interchange) and switch to the other line from Siam to Saphan Taksin. Once you reach Saphan Taksin, hop onto the FREE ferry to ICON which is located on the other side of the Chao Phraya River..

I haven't the faintest idea. No clue at all. But once you get to Bangkok, the people are so friendly and nice and helpful. I do know that they have shuttle buses and shuttle boats to the shopping mall. Just ask.

I suppose so, but to get the best rates, you better change from super rich. They always had the best rate.
