Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Avala is one the most famous mountains in the whole Serbia. One of the most beautiful sights I've ever seen, hope to see it again someday

Must be a really stunning experience, however, before getting your tickets, make sure you have checked for mists (tip: ask some travelers on their way back or note the expression on their face). Keep in mind that the staff who will sell you the tickets are the last to let you know if you can see nothing but whiteness before taking your money.

The top of the tower gives views over the countryside to the south of Belgrade. There is another tower at the north part of the city that I also recommend.

You can travel to Avala by ride share company "Cargo" (like Uber) or by private vehicle from Belgrade with the journey only taking 20 minutes. It's fantastic and offers a view of the picturesque countryside looking back towards Belgrade. The gardens are well maintained and there is plenty of opportunity to take great photographs. Highlights were the tower itself, only costing a couple of dollars, and the tomb of the unknown soldier. Wear some appropriate footwear to enjoy the walk around the grounds. Suggest going around 4pm onwards to enjoy cooler weather during summer and the sunset!

I rode motorbike to this place. When riding to to top of the mountan there are lot of trees and very good narrow road. Felt like riding throug a thick jungle. View of surrounding area is fantastic. There two difference when I compare Eifel tower or Toronto tower, both these situated in the city. Avala tower your can see grreny towns and it felt more natural.
The other main thing surprised me was that telescopes were there. I went twice round without looking thse. Because I am used to put some coins in all other places so I did not had any coins so I just ignored it. But later I found it was for free. :-)

The tower gives a paronamic view on the whole city of Belgrade! There were telescopes that you can use to zoom in to focus on some monuments of the city. There was some other entertaining facilities for tennis, basketball, and for children! The unknow soldier temple near to it, is just AMAZING specially during sun set! It's a highlight and a must visit!

Avala Tower was a great day trip. My husband and I took the bus to Beli Potok and climbed up to the Tower area. (Plenty of great trails on the mountain.) In the area around the tower, there are a few shops and cafes with nice views. There are also playgrounds for children, as well as picnic/BBQ spots. The ticket to get to the top of the tower is 300 dinars. The view from the top lets you see all of Belgrade. I recommend this place for a fun afternoon out of the city.

It is not just historic and symbolic lace but as well good trip to the nature and for small excersize. PLace is omnumental and worth visiting. Great sculptor Ivan Mestrovic made it and it has all the usual Mestrovic lightmotives, cariatides, masonic simobolism, monumental and most important it is great piece of art

Avala Tower is the telecommunications tower located in Avala Mountain, in the surroundings of Belgrade, the main city in Serbia. It is a very nice place, where you can go up and see very beautiful views of the land and Belgrade, so it is probably the best lookout in the region. Also, in the top of the tower, there is a bar, where you can drink or eat something. Very nice place to drink a glass of wine and enjoy with views.

You can take trolleybus n.40 and 41 in centre and get off at last station, Banijca II.
Then you cross the street and take 401, 403, 405, 407 or 408 till station called "Avala" or something similar. From there you must walk, since only in summer there's bus 400 that drives you on the top :)
