Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is the best holocaust museum we have been to.
It shows and documents the persecution of the Jews from Egypt till the present.
Well worth a visit when you are in Skopje.

A most moving memorial. Thoroughly informative, excellent presentation.

You could easily spend 2 hours there. Thoroughly recommended. Suitable for wheelchairs, staff helpful, lift.

I only came across 4 steps, where another visitor helped me with my wheelchair.

Charts the history of the Jewish community in the area from pre-Christian times to after WW2, including displacement from Spain/Portugal, enrollment in the resistance and deportation to the death camps.
Subtitled video testimonies from survivors
Bilingual Macedonian/English displays.
100 denar ticket for adults.
Be prepared for a lot of reading. Allow around 2 hours to read everything.
No photography allowed.
We owe it to this decimated community to learn about what happened to them.

This is a unique museum in the Balkan region dedicated to the victims of the Holocaust...interactive display that will make you feel down and shake you to the core...but in the end it is important for people to spread the news on this museum so that the memories of the victims will continue to live on.

The Memorial center is divided into several rooms/zones thanks to which the visitor can go through the historical development of Jews in Europe and especially the Balkans. The exhibition lets the spectator travel in time, moreover, the additional audio and video materials make it more interactive. This is certainly a place that has been planned and made with a lot of thought and respect.

This is a first class museum . Very well organised , really friendly man on reception.
Gives the chilling and upsetting facts about the history of the Jewish people of the city and wider area. I was brought to tears a number of times whilst there , all of it was very very moving and well explained , the best I’ve seen. We should never forget and this museum goes a way to remember the oppression and devastation the Jewish community endured.

Very poignant memorial to the Jewish community who suffered tremendous losses during WW2. The exhibitions bring their story to life and recounts the horror and the personal losses suffered by the Jews. Worth a visit as this is part of the real history of Skopje.

This is a small museum that relates to the Jews who lived in this area and were taken to their deaths during World War II. Well worth a visit.

tells a compelling story about the Jewish experience of the holocaust. The museum has high quality exhibits and contents, but is not overwhelming in size and scale.
